Information as to location of Milan Garibaldi hotel is inaccurate on website and on leaflets in hotel. Hotel staff refused to refund us the first night stay despite the inaccurate guidance.

I would never recommend this hotel by just knowing that this customer service is rude and not wanting to help customers get satisfied.
Never going to book here ever again. So be aware if you want to stay with Meiniger Hotel!

Did not even stay here and already horrible. Booked for the hotel in Zürich and got a confirmation letter with a booking in Marseille... Contacted the customer service got a man on the phone who wanted to help. We needed to email them so we can get transferred to the right hotel. Then we hear nothing for the whole day. We tried to call them several times and they continued to hang the call up not even wanting to help us. We just gave out reservation number and when they hear this they immediately hang the phone up. Still drove to the hotel we originally wanted to go to, thought maybe the reception could help or mean something for us. They could not even contact the customer service for us. Tried to call again, still nothing and still getting hung up on the phone. Then later we hear nothing is possible, while early on was promised they wel fix the mistake. No money back, for what was not even our mistake. I would never recommend this hotel by just knowing that this customer service is rude and not wanting to help customers get satisfied.
Never going to book here ever again. So be aware if you want to stay with Meiniger Hotel!
I have worked and studied for hotel management and business and this is definitely not how you want your hotel to be know for/reputation and how you wanna treat (potential) customers.

Ontbijt onder de maat, vieze borden en bestek.
Geen warm water op de kamer, werd ons niet verteld bij aankomst. Sta je onder de douche om 1.00 in de nacht krijg je alleen koud water dus maar weer aankleden en naar receptie. Blijkt het probleem gewoon bekend te zijn. Morgen in de loop van de dag komt de monteur… slechte service.

Terriblement déçue !! Nous avons pris une chambre pour trois personnes adultes( 1 mère avec ses 2 enfants adultes ) nous avons payé 407 € sans les taxes et sans le parking, nous sommes arrivés dans la chambre 2 lits simples et un lit superposé Mais seulement deux oreillers, nous sommes allés à la réception, demander un oreiller étant donné qu’une somme trois, on nous a répondu que le troisième oreiller était payant! hallucinant 407 € une nuit, on a bien précisé Que nous étions trois mais si nous voulions passer une nuit correcte avec un oreiller, il fallait le payer !
pareil, nous avions lu qu’il y aurait une bouilloire et le nécessaire pour faire un café ou un thé dans la chambre. Sinon il fallait aller à la réception la réclamer, on nous a répondu que non qu’il fallait attendre le lendemain matin six heures pour que le lieu du petit déjeuner soit ouvert franchement au prix où on a eu la chambre c’est abusé, je peux vous dire que nous ne mettrons plus les pieds ici à ce prix-là, j’avais plus près dans le centre-ville

Ich habe im MEININGER Hotel Berlin East Side Gallery übernachtet und habe gemischte Erfahrungen gemacht.

Die Lage ist wirklich hervorragend (5 Sterne) – besonders die Nähe zum Ostbahnhof ist sehr praktisch. Auch die Parkmöglichkeiten am Bahnhof sind günstig und mit 4 Sternen absolut in Ordnung. Das Personal war grundsätzlich freundlich und hilfsbereit (4 Sterne).

Ein großer Pluspunkt für mich als Hundebesitzer: Direkt gegenüber gibt es tolle Möglichkeiten zum Spazierengehen, und in der Nähe befindet sich sogar eine eingezäunte Freilauffläche – ideal für Hundehalter!

Das Frühstück war durchschnittlich (3 Sterne) – nichts Besonderes, aber ausreichend.

Leider gibt es auch deutliche Kritikpunkte: Die Sauberkeit und Hygiene waren sehr enttäuschend (unter 1 Stern). Das Zimmer war insgesamt nicht sauber, überall lag Staub und es wirkte dreckig. Besonders im Badezimmer gab es teilweise sogar Schimmel in der Dusche. Zusätzlich hatte ich den Eindruck, dass die Mitarbeiter nicht ausreichend auf Hygiene achten, was den Gesamteindruck weiter verschlechtert.

Insgesamt punktet das Hotel durch Lage und Freundlichkeit, hat aber beim Thema Sauberkeit und Hygiene dringend Verbesserungsbedarf.

Unclear instructions for a minors traveling with out parent. Very rude staff.

I was travelling across Europe and I’ve stopped by in Germany for a rest. I met some very nice people named, Keanu, Nastasia, and Julie they were very nice and offered me and my family great service. They were great and very useful. I would greatly recommend, great hotel hosted by great people!

Leider enttäuschend - keine Stornierung mit Geldzurück.

Unser Urlaub wurde aufgrund des Nahost Konfliktes vom Reiseveranstalter storniert - Aufgrund des Krieges und der Luftraumsperre. Daher baten wir dieses Hotel uns kulanterweise entgegen zu kommen, da wir ja nun dieses Hotel auch nicht mehr nutzen werden.
Haben dieses Hotel für je eine Nacht auf dem Hin-und Rückweg gebucht. Man weiß ja nie ob die Züge fahren oder ob es noch Flugänderungen gibt. Daher lieber einen Tag vorher in Frankfurt sein. Nun wurde unser Urlaub storniert. Somit haben wir dem Hotel eine Mail geschickt, ob eine Stornierung mit Gelderstattung möglich sei. Mit der Begründung, dass wir aufgrund der Lage/Situation nicht den Urlaub antreten können.
Leider ist uns das Hotel nicht entgegen gekommen.
Wir als vierköpfige Familie hätten das Geld für andere Alternativen gut gebrauchen können. Mir fehlt wirklich die Menschlichkeit und das Verständnis in dem Unternehmen. Wir stornieren ja nicht weil wir keine Lust mehr haben oder weil wir krank sind - da wäre ja klar - eigenes Risiko. Aber sorry, wegen Krieg (für mich höhere Gewalt) was nicht vorhersehbar ist und worin man keinen Einfluss hat. Der Urlaub war viele Monate im voraus geplant. Dieses Hotel haben wir recht kurzfristig dazu gebucht.

There was two reservations Hotel in Krakow, second reservations Hotel cancelled with information Credit card declined, however both reservations was made with same credit card option paid at property, contact credit card bank , there was no issue cancelled payment or credit card declined, however second reservations cancelled by hotel, first reservations cancelled personal, no accept this kind business, however, personal think second reservations cancelled due priority overbooked, one more , phone call reception answer by AI no option staff response, definitely not recommend.

Travelling with my daughter for a family party in Vienna. We had a private room with bathroom. Great location, immaculately clean & comfortable & staff were polite & very helpful & welcoming. Great experience at the hostel - will definitely recommend!!

Wir haben als Gruppe mit 3 Personen im Januar 2026 übernachtet. Es war alles okay, außer dass mir zusätzlich zu dem Zimmerpreis weitere 9 Euro per Lastschrift ganz klar erkenntlich von Meininger Berlin abgebucht wurden. Dort wurde dies verneint trotz meines vorgelegten Kontoauszuges. Meine Bank musste klären und hat mir die 9 Euro gutgeschrieben. Ärgerlich, finde ich.
Also, aufpassen, was abgebucht wird und ggf. auf jeden Fall reklamieren bzw. Lastschrift stornieren!

Zentraler Ort in der Stadt. Gute Zimmer mit Platz (auch im Bad).

I was charged a late fee for an alleged reservation without any prior notification, email, or warning. At the time of the charge, I was already staying at the hotel, which makes this completely unjustified.

What is even more disappointing is the total lack of proper communication. There was no direct contact with a responsible person, only generic emails that were never properly answered. This shows a serious lack of transparency, accountability, and respect for customers.

After many stays with Meininger in different destinations, this experience was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I will not choose this hotel chain again and do not recommend it.

Meininger Amsterdam - very clean, very comfortable, the receptionist team is young, nice and helpful. Good breakfast.

Mininger Hotels Haben alles auf Ai- oder Faqs Reduziert. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit oder so gut wie keine Möglichkeit, eine Person ans Telefon zu bekommen. Das Heisst, wenn etwas Schief läuft mit der Onlinebuchung und die ia einem nicht weiterhelfen kann, Ist man absolut aufgeschmissen. Keine schöne Erfahrung. Sehr schlechter service. Ich würde nicht mehr mit meininger buchen

Unfreundliches und unfähiges Personal. Ich bin nicht kleinlich, aber die machen Dienst nach vor nach Vorschrift und sind nicht in der Lage, mich als Kunde abzuholen.

Nice stuff, clean place, good price. Not a tiny place, enough big for 4 people. Place to let your buggage (I didn t use), kitchen for everyone, which I really appreciate. Place is super near the centre, there are strange people near the Joliette metro station but also fine places to eat.
I am looking forward to next visit.

I reserved a bed for girls only room in Rome, which is self explanatory about the importance for women to feel safe traveling alone. It's important to mention that we pay extra for this feeling of safety, around a 50% more than for a mixed room. However, in my last night there a man, without knowing it was a lady's only, was assigned to our room. This was a terrible mistake that brought discomfort not only for the 3 girls there, but for the man that was in a really uncomfortable situation. Any feeling of safety or trust in the hotel was gone, even if the man on our was polite and never inappropriate, there's no guarantee that it'll be the case for girls in the future who pay extra for a feeling of safety that the hotel fails to provide. In my whole 4 days trip around Rome and its different corners I never felt so uneasy as last night in the hotel that should provide us safety. The staff offered us a breakfast, since in their own words they "can' turn back time", which is beyond ridiculous. I left since I had a train to take, but I hope the other girls that will be staying more days there will have an actual compensation, an not a random discount for future visits, that after this situation, won't be happening at all.
