Gate took 4 weeks to arrive and was damaged and poorly made in parts

Gates turned up 6 weeks late, damaged and missing hinges that were also ordered. Terrible communication. NEVER again will I use this shambles of a company.

Good workmanship and efficient service during a very busy period for MD Carpentry. Good price and exceeding my expectations. Highly recommended.

Tried twice to buy a gate, first time straight from company but they really messed around with delivery dates, said they were busy so went through Amazon thinking hopefully less likely to be messed around. In the end Amazon refunded me as when they checked the order they said it had appeared to have got lost. Reading the reviews it seems to be hit and miss whether you get a good product that is delivered within a reasonable time.

Did not deliver when promised although phoned 3 times to be told it would be delivered. Not delivered. Have been told now they are busy and won't get the gates delivered until 2 weeks in June after saying they would be delivered on 29th May. Have offered 10% as a good will gesture. Lost more than that taking a day off of work to collect them. Shambles of a company

Everthing is fake. Fake pictures, fake people. Dishonest people to deal with. Rogues at it's finest. No sense of how to conduct and fulfil business contracts. To people out there thinking of buying gates from MD, take my advice pay a little extra to someone else and avoid a long series of dissappointments. MD carpentry is a firm who firmly cheat and steal from consumers.

Ordered a gate on 27 April which was supposed to be despatched within a week. On 29 May, still heard nothing and unable to get through on the phone. Waiting for a refund, but company clearly unable to fulfil orders and no communication.

I would give zeros stars if it was possible.
Had to cancel the order in the end as they kept pushing the delivery date back. Very rude customer service and no way of contacting over the phone- goes straight to voicemail and unable to leave a message as the voicemail box is full. Email correspondence is very rude and unprofessional, email response from them is sent in capital letters, very short and just key words used (unable to attach picture to show) Clearly taking orders that they have no way of fulfilling. Don’t give this company your money and custom

I ordered a garden gate on 30th April with an expected delivery of around a week. When I chased it up, they said it hadn't been dispatched, gave a revised date of 25th May and an offer of 10% off - which never happened. Still no delivery. I have emailed them twice now - both emails ignored and their mailbox is full. Everything they say is a lie, do not trust them. I'm now having to go through my bank for a charge back.

Very pleased with the communication.
The gate was amazing.
Could not fault.

There is nothing redeeming about the gate I purchased. I’ve seen palettes made of better wood than was used. It is dirty, uneven, showing printing in some areas, and apart from the crossbars completely unplaned so the likelihood of splinters is very real. It was broken in two places on arrival, easily remedied with a large hammer but says something about the workmanship. The uprights are unevenly spaced and crooked. As I ordered a 120cm wide gate to accommodate wheelchairs in a community project, I was expecting additional uprights but no, they were just spread out to take up the additional 30cms. I am now faced with the task of screwing everything securely and sanding it down to make it safe to touch. I thought mistakenly it would be better quality than your average D I Y store, I was wrong.

AVOID! Ordered 20/4. Order accepted with a delivery of 5-7 days. Chased up after two weeks of hearing nothing. Said delayed and offered 10% off and a promised delivery of second week of May. Nothing again. No update. Chased again. Promised latest 21 May. Still nothing. Tried phoning. Can’t leave message. Always reply to email with apologies but no confidence about ever receiving the gate. Cancelled order and asked for refund. Yet to receive. Have gone via chargeback from my credit card instead. Sounded like they were relieved to not have the order anymore!

For some reason they delivered something completely different to what was ordered, then told it would be sent out the next day and be with me Monday, to still not have on Monday for them to tell me it was only sent out that day on Monday still didn’t arrive for a few more days later, terrible customer service

Ordered a gate at the beginning of March. Had to chase for dispatch. Damaged gate (hole in the middle of the gate) arrived 2 weeks after order date (so lead times should be measured in weeks not days).

They agreed to replace the gate beginning of May. Zero contact from company even after repeated emails and calls. Failed promises around delivery of new gate more than once. Over 10 weeks after ordering they have finally issued a refund. All correspondence was initiated by myself and when I did get a response, they couldn’t even meet what they told me. No, 100% wouldn’t recommend. Terrible products and terrible customer service. Spend your money elsewhere.

Shocking customer service, wrong product sent , discount offered but I actually wanted what I ordered !
Refunded after 1 month of chases for product , then they sent ANOTHER incorrect gate ! So now I have 2 gates that I dont want !
