Ai generated images of gates on their website, leads to a disappointment when you eventually get the gates(expect over a month to receive it).
I ordered a set of swan neck gates, but what turned up was a set of flat gates. Missing parts of the order too. Avoid avoid avoid

Placed an order through B&Q with this company at the start of May, and shock horror, still waiting. Empty promise after empty promise, supposedly they were dispatched on Saturday but unable to provide me with any up to date tracking information when requested.
Having read other reviews, not convinced they'll be up to much if by some miracle they do actually materialise.

I wish I had read these reviews prior to placing an order with MD carpentry. We ordered gates over a month ago. The website states 3-5 days delivery which is far from the truth. I was then told 1-3 weeks lead time. I am still waiting. I have received tracking which to be honest never has had update. The delay has cost us money each as I have to keep putting off contractors. Not to mention the stress of worrying if we have literally
Thrown £600 down the drain and may never receive our order.
Do not order from this company.

Ordered a gate on 15th May, they emailed to say it was sent on 5th June - Still not delivered - 16th June. 4.5 weeks from order and still nothing. They don't answer the phone or respond to emails. I have cancelled via my credit card company. AVOID.

I was sent an email to say my gates were being prepared for shipment on the 25th of May. I'm still waiting on the 15th of June. If I'd have seen these reviews I would of gone to someone else. I will put daily updates on here.

I have had a email today 16/06/26.
I have been given a delivery date between the 26th and 29th of this month. I will update after this date.
I've had my gates delivered today and I can't complain. Good communication from the delivery company and on time. Gates are as described and great value for the money. Thanks Martin 😊

What a joke ..waited six weeks for delivery ..many calls and emails and four delivery’s that never happens ..the quality of these gates are really really poor ..nothing like the website ..split wood and unfinished edges ..pencil lines still on the wood ..wouldn’t reccomend anyone get anything from them ..got lots of pics if anyone wants to see them …with regards to your response ..you were contacted directly about the issues ..the only that that was offered was a little discount ….which never happened either ..

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered gates from MD Carpentry on 6th May 2026 and was told they would take 14 days to be delivered. It is now 12th June 2026 and still no gates. Whenever I call this company no one answers the phone and it goes to voicemail. Their mailbox is full so I am unable to leave a message. When I email for an update I just get a message saying that they are prioritising my order and it will be with me within the week but gates never arrive. Please avoid this company.

Easy to order online, product arrived after a couple of week. Happy Customer 😊

Sadly the overriding aspect of this order is the very late delivery which was significantly longer than indicated when order was placed.

order didn't arrive on time and even when the first delivery turned up half of it was missing. Posts were awful quality and 0 communication. Won't answer the phone or acknowledge the emails.

Absolutely appalling way to run a business! Ordered my gate on 19th May still haven’t received it today 9th June! When I ordered it the website stated 8-10 days delivery but then when I’ve asked where my gate is or when I can expect it they tell me it’s an 18 day turn around…….unbelievable. I have since contacted them several times by phone and by email with no response; in actual fact the phone gets answered but then put down again straight away🤬

I understand they supply B & Q but how they get on with their orders I really don’t know!

I am considering contacting my credit card company and putting it in their hands as I’m getting nowhere fast!

Despite this company’s reply I’m sorry to say they did not communicate and were very very hard to get hold of. This didn’t change until k threatened to cancel my credit card payment. To date I have still not received the ironmongery for fitting the gate and have had to go out and purchase from elsewhere! We do need another gate but definitely will not be using this company again!

Got concerned after seeing reviews. Rang with query. Got answer phone which was unable to take messages due to being full.decided to cancel and not risk my money. Poor customer service at the very least.

I ordered a pair of driveway gates on 18 April. They were finally delivered on 1 June. According to the website delivery would be 5-10 working days, but it took 6 weeks. The quality of the gates is ok, but delivery delivery time totally unsatisfactory. If I had known I would not have ordered the gates from MD Carpentry !

Do not waste your time and money on this company! Customer service is terrible, with lame excuses including outright lies. I gave up after 6 weeks and demanded a refund. As the old saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
