Ordered gates on August 12th and got told 4 weeks from order to delivery and still waiting. Have sent numerous emails since first contact and tried calling but no response whatsoever

Do not use this company. I had a lucky escape! I ordered through B&Q and they failed to deliver. They are SO rude.
Eventually B&Q refunded. Relief.
It's an awful company.

Worst experience I've ever had avoid this company at all costs. Scam website and awful carpentry looks like a 10 year old has made the gates very poor quality

Have taken my money 30 days no gates no comms nothing.
Don't answer the phone don't reply to emails.
Will be going to a fraud investigation via my bank for starters.

I ordered through b and q as a verified seller. All i can say is apalling company. They claimed to usually despatch within two days. After 7 weeks and many e mails my delivery arrived. Only one of a pair arrived. I was assured other half would be with the courier last week but it wasnt. I chased them on monday. No response so today i have spoken to b and q who have issued me a refund. All i can say is do not deal with MD Carpentry unless you want to be let down

I have unfortunately not received my order of a garden gate and so far have not been able to contact the company.
Having contacted the delivery firm they have not received the item for delivery.
I would like this sorted out if possible.

Ordered a gate on the 4 august to be delivered in the 17 august through b and q. It is now the 15th September . I have sent several emails. Finally I contacted b and q asked to cancel the order. I now have to wait for m d carpentry to return my £93.99. I am totally disgusted

We ordered a swan necked gate and after several weeks of waiting it arrived. In the meantime we had contacted Md carpentry as we had not expected this time frame. They were fairly easy to contact and luckily we were in no hurry so happy to wait. When the gate was finally delivered it was well packaged. The gate itself is well made and solid. However it was not a swan neck with the shape only just noticeable - it looks more like a mistake has been made on the normal curved shape gate. We contacted with photos but they replied that as the gates are handmade they do vary with what's shown on their website. I understand that but this bears no resemblance at all to the website images. In addition to this there are some random holes along the edge of the gate. Finally, the bars are made of pvc which I am quite happy with. However there is writing of some sort of manufacturer details imprinted on one of the bars which spoils the look. Overall disappointed and will not be ordering from this company again.

I am a fully qualified joiner of 50yrs experience and have never seen such shoddy workmanship. The gate was thrown together with poor quality materials and the finish was non existent. I also had to wait 6wks for delivery when the website said 5 to 10 days. All the guff on the website about quality did not apply in this case. The gate was vastly overpriced for what it was. Very disappointed!

Terrible, coming up to 3 months and half a gate, terrible customer service. A fortnight after told them only half delivered and they can't be bothered to even confirm they'll send the other half! The gate was also wrong style so essentially got nothing

We ordered 1 roll of chestnut fencing, looked really nice so ordered 1 more then another 5 Thank you

Very poor quality of workmanship.
Blunt blade used to cut rough joints staples through wood .
Very poor finish.
Go elsewhere or pick one you can see.

A garden gate was ordered via B&Q marketplace on the 14/7/26 estimate estimated delivery date was the 22nd - 27/7
15/7 email to them to ask for a confirmation of Day only to be told that the estimated date now was the 17th- 19th of August
This was because they had a problem in their warehouse and that they would be them paying out compensation of 10%
16/7 emailed again to confirm delivery to be 22-27/7
B&Q emailed them to ask them to confirm delivery
22/7 I got email saying all their office staff had left and they were getting replacement staff the next day and apparently it was a real mess
23/7 they emailed saying delivery would be the 3/8
8/8 another email from me saying they have to contact me
9/8 email from them saying they will contact me on the Monday
10/8 chased them again as no contact
11/8 email saying my order was up loaded on 7/8 to the system and would take 4-5 weeks
14/8 B&Q refunded me
15/8 they said they would not pay compensation promised
21/8 email from a different company steel and Sap Ltd / MD carpentry saying that as I’ve had a refund they will not compensate and as far as they’re concerned, it’s closed
Absolutely awful Company awful service absolute waste of time would never recommend

Along with so many other disappointed customers I have to say this is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Ordered items were delayed and fragmented and clearly overpriced. On arrival the quality is shockingly poor. One gate looked like it had been made with used pallet wood.
I have tried to return items and get a full refund but 4 months later and dozens of emails and telephone calls still not received despite promises and clearly untruths.
The company is dysfunctional and clearly has no regard for customer service or satisfaction. They now do not answer any emails or telephone calls. I fail to understand how they can still be trading.
I would advise anyone to steer well clear and go elsewhere. Better quality may be got at local DIY/garden centres at much less cost.

Customer service , no reply to emails , no one answered the phone and did not get back to me after leaving a message. Delivery took four weeks. Gate was okay but not perfect.

Delivery date not met. Poor to no communication initiated by them. When the gate eventually arrived they had sent the wrong design (cheaper design). I eventually got them to collect the incorrect gate four days ago and they agreed to a full refund. Refund not received to date. I would not recommend.

Gate came damaged ...the top metal on gate arrived rusty ...took 6 weeks to get gate even though they said on website allow 10 days for delivery ...took another month for them to collect ...and another 5 weeks to get a refund ....never again

Wrong gate sent after 3 weeks. Still waiting a month later for a refund and gate to be collected.

I saw a facebook advert selling pedestrian garden gates, at a very reasonable price, very near to me. I messaged to check the gates were still available and verify the price. I got a very quick reply via Messenger - Yes they were, and the price was confirmed. We drove over in our lunch hour, and Shane met us in the car park and showed us the selection of gates available. He explained they were all bespoke gates that had either not been collected or had been returned - this was very much a gain for us!
We looked through 7 or 8 gates and found one that suited us in both style and size. Shane was very helpful with that and carried the gate to our car. We drove away very happy customers! I'd recommend popping in if you want a quick friendly helpful service.
