Took my money instantly for a gate, went completely silent for over a month, and then emailed to cancel the order. I haven't received my refund yet. Beware of this business—they seem to be using customer payments for their own cash flow.

Similar experience to others. ordered and paid for a gate. emailed for an update and received zero reply. A week later they cancelled the order. I wouldnt deal with this company again

Ordered a garden gate 5 weeks ago today. Chased after 7 days and was told it would be delivered in approximately 4 weeks. Still not received. No further response from company despite chasing constantly by email. Had to request a refund from my bank. Have no idea why a few people have left good reviews as this is a terrible company. Please look elsewhere as you will be thoroughly disappointed. Not sure how this company is still trading.

I would not recommend these to anyone I ordered my gates 2 months ago and still not got them ,I’ve rang several times and emailed loads of times still no reply this is disgustingl

Took my money and failed miserably to deliver in the advertised time. I received an email saying the expected time was at least double ( so the original was basically a lie) . Not thrilled but didn't have a lot of choice. They then failed to meet this extended delivery time and have ignored 3 emails asking for information and updates. I appear to have been robbed . Have nothing to do with this company

Ordered gates six weeks ago and haven’t had any update. Tried contacting them via phone (their message box is full!) but no one answers. Tried emailing but no reply. Initiated a charge back with the bank because I feel like I’ve been scammed! Do not use and shame on B&Q for having them on their website!

Ordered a gate and gate furniture. It claimed 7 day delivery, but after a fortnight nothing had arrived. I emailed them and was told they were very busy and there was a delay. The gate arrived a few weeks later. I am very happy with the gate but there was no gate furniture with it.
I emailed them about the missing furniture, which cost £20, I got no reply. I have emailed them again, a couple of times but with the same result.
Go elsewhere for you gate as this company is untrustworthy.

Never received my gate and not getting a response from emails

Ordered a gate paid for it,it never arrived after several weeks ,at first the company answered my communication then the email adress they provided no longer worked.

I have not received the hinges and locks which I have paid for! I have emailed and phoned but no reply. I would like a refund for the missing items please. Order number 6657.

How I wished I read reviews before ordering a gate. Their website said '5-10 working days' for delivery. By the 12th day came I sent an email requesting information and when the gate would be delivered. This email was answered promptly, explaining that they were very busy and there would be a delay, but I would receive the gate 4-5 weeks from order date. I accepted this as I was in no hurry. They also that the website would be updated to reflect the new delivery times. This coming Friday, 25/09, will be 5 weeks. I emailed them on Monday for an update, and to say I would cancel the order and request a full if they could not guarantee delivery by Friday. This email has gone unanswered. I phoned them this morning, 23/09, only for the answer phone to pick up, I'm told to leave a message, then told that the mail box is full, and then cut off. If you want a gate AVOID AVOID AVOID this company and go elsewhere.

I bought & paid for a gate in early August & was told you was busy & expect delivery by 2nd week September. We are nearly in October & no gate. Tried calling 50 times & cant leave message because answer phone is full. Emailed a couple of times & no answers. Totally disappointed.

This has got to be the worst customer experience I’ve ever had. Never trust this company. Gate ordered 5 weeks ago, still not got it. No answer from them on the phone and they stopped replying to my emails. I’ve since looked at all other reviews and everyone is pretty much the same. Avoid like the plague

Never deal with this outfit absolutely shocking orders driveway gates in July had endless empty promises no communication if you ring they don’t answer finally got a refund via b&q in September don’t know how they get any business

Been waiting over 2 months for a gate. Hardly any communication from the company and totally unable to get through on phone. Still waiting a refund after 2 weeks.

I ordered garden gates via B&Q as a third party seller. The gates were ordered on 1st July and was initially told it was a 1-2 week wait time. After back and forth, I was told it was 4-5 weeks. It has now been 11 weeks and I still have not received my order with no update or communication from the company.

For the sake of your sanity, avoid like the plague. I believe they may no longer be trading, even though their site remains live.

I placed an order on 23rd July 2026 (#6262 if somebody from MD is reading this). At the time of ordering, the website stated a turnaround time of roughly two to three weeks. I only received the gate on 2nd September after chasing multiple times for an update, only to be told "it's our busiest period" - if that is the case, update the website to manage customer expectations.

To make matters worse, the gate arrived without the hinges and latch that were ordered with it. When I called, a lady that I spoke to claimed that "sometimes they fall off in transit" and promised: "We'll get a replacement set sent out straight away, should be there on Friday." That was two weeks ago. Still no sign of the parts.

Multiple emails have gone completely ignored. Calling the office now goes straight to an answerphone which announces that the mailbox is full. It looks very much like they have shut up shop without bothering to tell paying customers.

Whilst the gate itself is of reasonable quality, the service is abysmal - if you get any service at all.

UPDATE: I contacted my bank today to request a chargeback for the missing item, which they did pretty much straight away; however, what I found even more interesting - my bank advised that the payment taken was set up as a recurring payment. Absolutely ridiculous and, dare I say, criminal behaviour.

Ordered gates from them at the start of august with a delivery date of 1-2 weeks on B&Q, told by B&Q that the item was dispatched on the 7/08/26 and this was not the case.

Messaged mdcarpentry for update on the 13th as still no delivery was then told (for the first time, no previous comms that it would take this long) that turnaround is 4-5 weeks.

20th of august I got an update with a link to a courier service that had my order information, however still no delivery so chased on the 30th to be told that it would be delivered for the week ending 11th september and the courier would get in touch with me. When speaking to the courier they confirmed they didnt have the item and were lauching an investigation, went back to MD carpentry with this information asking for them to verify that the item was even made and they said no it wasnt made as on the 10/09/26.

Finally had enough and requested refund on 10/09/26, chasing this for any response on the 14th and the 15th to no avail. Went directly to B&Q and theyve refunded now.

Awful company that just gives you constant run arounds.

Ordered a gate on 27 July. Website said 5-10 days delivery. Chased repeatedly by phone and email only to be eventually told that this was their busy time of year and could expect to wait 4-6 weeks. After a lot more chasing I was told to expect delivery and confirmation of actual delivery date in the 6th week - 11th September. September 17: No confirmation, no gate, no response to repeated emails and voicemails. Their voicemail box is now full - presumably with the angry bile and vitriol of other customers like me.
