As a clinician I trusted the previous reviews and the overall information given by the company on the website.
I was amazed at my results suggested I had a 100% allergy to certain food products. The information states I have an IgE type I mediated hypersensitivity - which would essentially mean I would have a severe risk of anaphylaxis. These are food products I have had all my life and never had any issues.
I have consulted a recent allergy specialist in Harley street and essentially they disregarded the test as a ‘gimmick’ - I have taken the world leading ALEX 2 allergy test and ‘surprise surprise’ no allergy.
I think it is irresponsible to send a report stating that an individual has a 100% allergy to a certain product and stating ‘you can pay to speak to nutritionist’. Where is the duty of care to patients to highlight how medically vital it is to be aware of a 100% IgE type I hypersensitivity.
Don’t waste your money.

I bought a test kit from Lifelab a little dubious of getting any results to an IBS problem I had had for years. I had had a flare up 2 weeks before, it was so bad I researched intolerance testing and decided to purchase a Lifelab full body test.
Easy to do if you follow the instructions, the results were emailed to me in 48 hours.
I.took.out the foods in my intolerance list and have not had any IBS symptoms in 2 months now. Money well spent and incredible results tbh I never thought possible.

I received the complete Body Test pack quickly following ordering. The directions are easy to follow and self explanatory. The "finger test" with the (small) lancet didn't work for me, I ended up using my toe. My results came within 24 hrs, and I arranged a follow up telephone consultation with Maria which was hugely informative and helpful.
I am delighted to be on the right track. Having Ulcerative Colitis is challenging in itself but now knowing that I have underlying allergies and intolerances it will allow me to manage my diet and I feel a lot more confident for the future.
Lifelab were excellent at getting my results to me, the whole process was simple and to the point. The nutritionist follow up call really helped me work on a diet that was suitable and tailored to me. Highly recommended
Satisfied with the delivery and the test result however the process was not as seamless as it is supposed to be.
- The status of the test kit did not synchronise. It has never changed to 'in the lab' - 'processing'. Called customer service but they said they haven't received the sample however in a couple of days after the call I received the test result.
- My test has included a consultation with nutritionist but I have never receieved as such. No one contacting nor an instruction.
Update 16/08/2021:
After posting a review here, someone from the customer service has reached out to me and scheduled a 30 minutes session with nutritionist. I am very pleased that the nutritionist Maria G. She went through the result with me and provided me with the explanation on how to tackle the allergies and intolerances. She also recommend the food alternatives and supplement to balance the chemical reaction in the body. I am really impressed on how she delivered the consultation.
Verdict:
Although the sequence of the services was disrupted (not sure how?). Lifelab Testing has now fulfilled the services I have purchased. The test was easy and the result is quick. The highlight for me was the 30 minutes session with the nutritionist. So if you are to purchase the test, I would recommend to also have the session, especially for people like me who is not familiar with reading the allergy result and understanding the correct diet and how the body react to those allergen.
A terrible experience start to finish. Payment was collected without disclosing terms and conditions. I paid for a covid test that had guaranteed results before my flight left and then was told they would not give me a test until I waited 2 weeks!!! HORRIBLE communication both before money was collected and after I was denied timely service. After I followed the process to get a refund there was NO Communication. One week later without refund I called and was told wait six weeks and call back. Don't waste your money with this company.

Great service from the folks at Lifelabs and would thoroughly recommend the test kits to anyone looking to get to the source of allergies and intolerances. Wasn't entirely sure what to expect but the test results were comprehensive and I'm now focussing on managing those allergens and intolerances.

The test kit arrived quickly. It included a "five spot" blood card as well as the main vial but no information as what the card was for or if it was even necessary to do anything with.
We asked on live chat and got a confusing response. They re-sent this blood card without explaining that it wasn't actually necessary to do. When it arrived in the post, we already had the results come through from the vial. So just some improved instructions or clarify around that card might be useful for other customers, it wasn't very clear for us.
We ordered the full body test which includes a 30-minute nutritional therapist consultation. We had to ask the live chat to initiate this, which created a ticket, but unfortunately that's where the rest of the service fell down for us.
We agreed on a time for them to call. They missed the call, we had no feedback or information as to why that was. We went on live chat again, rescheduled it for later that afternoon.
Unfortunately that call too was missed and now it just feels like they're wasting our time and money, as if we're not really that important once the test has been paid for. The tests were fast but the follow-up appointment needs better management and email/feedback if they miss your appointment, it's just a common courtesy.
Hopefully we'll get that nutritional therapist consultation soon, it just seemed pertinent to write this review now as it's not been the best experience overall and I would actually hesitate to recommend someone else buy a test.
UPDATE - My response to Lifelab's reply after my review:
I didn't change my mind about doing the test, it was always intended for my girlfriend to use. Your online system had no option to say "I'm buying this test for someone else to take".
Lifelab did reply with the message asking for the name/email of the person who took the test (my girlfriend) but this was *after* we had already been booked in and given the 2pm phone call time slot. And, after we had already waited for the call and never received one. The polite thing to do would be to contact us at 2pm and let us know there was a mistake rather than waste our time.
I'd already provided my girlfriend's name and email on multiple occasions to your live chat colleagues. They should have noted this so we could have had our call as promised.
It doesn't seem like you value the time of your customers, I've had to chase this up multiple times and now I feel disrespected with your response to my review.

I ordered the test in hope to find some answers to digestive problems. The kit arrived quickly, but when it arrived I followed all the instructions and did all the top tips but I couldn’t get any blood. I did a live chat on their website, who advised I could get a refund & that I’d be contacted within 48hrs. It’s been over a week, I’ve had to contact them multiple times and all I keep getting is ‘you’ll be contacted’. When I finally get my contact from a ‘senior’ all they do is offer me another kit and then leave me hanging again. Still awaiting my refund now. Appalling customer service and certainly won’t ever be recommending them to anyone.

Saved my life back in 2019. I started to experience gradual yet consistent deterioration of health, a drop in energy levels, continuous fatigue, extreme tiredness and constant sleepiness. I'm really fit and eat healthily so couldn't figure out where that came from. Nearly failed my final year at uni because of this. At some point I noticed that I felt okay so long as I was hungry, and as soon as I ate something I instantly felt terrible. Figured out it was allergies, been to a GP multiple times asking for a test, was constantly being turned down being told I had a cold.
I got this test for allergies and intolerances which showed I was allergic to six products I was regularly eating: tomatoes, almonds, pumpkin seeds, egg yolk, soya and potatoes. I instantly cut those out of my diet, and that's when my life had changed and got all my energy and motivation back. Did some research, learnt about false positives; did a few trials, and managed to rule out soy and potatoes from my allergies as these were false positives.
Got my sister and a few other folk to do the same test, and they had similar stories. I can certainly recommend these tests, but remember about false-positives: do your research, and take advice from Lifelab advisors.

We carried out the complete body on my 7yrs old son, sent the test back on the Monday and got our results on the Thursday. Very clear and easy to carry out the test and read the results. Our appointment with Maria, a nutritionist, was so helpful. She is so knowledgeable and gave us time to ask questions and clarify everything. It has been a game changer.

I spent months, *months* trying to convince my dad to take the intolerance blood test. He's always in pain after he eats, so I finally convinced him to do the test and find out what's wrong. He did it, filled a vial, posted it in a priority box straight after and got confirmation it had been received by the lab a few days later.
Great.
Then he got an email saying the test had failed and he'd have to take a new one. No explanation why, they just said they'd send out a cardboard test and he could retry (pretty sure smearing a drop of blood on cardboard isn't going to be as affective as a whole vial, but whatever.)
Has the the second test come yet? Nope. Been about 3 weeks now. Will they reply to his email? Nope. Just ignoring him.
So cheers Lifelab, glad I spent all that time trying to convince my dad to waste his money.
(Needless to say my wife and I won't be using your services now like we had planned to)

I could not thank Life lab testing enough!
I have been suffering with eczema on my chest, back and on my scalp for the last 6 months. With hitting breaking point I would scratch until I would bleed. The doctors couldn’t help due to limited appointments due to Covid-19, So I took it upon myself to Google for allergy testing and came across Life lab! And I honestly couldn’t thank them enough finally! After what feels the longest 6 months my skin is finally clear! After removing my allergy items that showed upon my report! I will share my journey with everybody, who suffers with problems like this! Thank you Life Lab I feel back to my confident self.

I wouldn't bother
I sent a sample on Mon 1 rst of Feb
I was on live chat with then every week asking and begging to know as promised if the sample had arrived and the answer was always no I it hasn't and this went on for two to three weeks and eventually asked for a refund.
And then all of a sudden my results appear on the website done on the 5th of Feb.
When had for so long been asking for them to confirm receiving anything.
Since asking for a refund last Fri the 19th I've had one email and they just fobbed me off. If this is how the run a company how is it I can trust their results. I would not recommend them and fully intend on taking this further and getting my money even. I very angry customer
And also I just tried to call them and apparently their phones are not available.
There is no one to talk to.
