I was delayed in sending in my samples. They will not honor my purchase. So I basically got ripped off for $125.00. I tried to resolve this, but no. I took me some time off digging to find the one line that says I needed to submit my sample within 12 months.
While I'm sure this company gives many people useful information, I am not one of them.

Never received sample even though tracking number showed as being delivered, minimal communication

This is a scam. The results do not reflect some of the intolerance I know I have, everything from this test came back as negative. I emailed twice and nobody has come back to me. Absolute waste of money

This is a scam. I sent my hair sample to another company that did the same test and the results were wildly different. In addition, I didn't hear back from testmyfoodsensitivity for 2 weeks until I emailed them.

This is a SCAM people!

I misread the process at first but was corrected and I sent my sample in. The tracking system failed almost daily, There were massive delays in registering the package. Customer services has been very poor. I would NOT recommend using this company. I tried to resolve issues and was told many people are complaining!!

Just got off chat with the rudest customer service advisor i have ever spoken to. The DIGITAL test was purchased in 2024, i noticed it on my bank statement and realised id sided this as i didnt realise i had to purchase a test kit as well as the digital test? I was really confused that the kit wasnt included, so its obviously been forgotten about in the grand scheme of life. I asked if i could have a refund as i has just paid for the digital test, no actual testing was done by them. This was their response:

'You purchased in June 2024, almost two years ago

Why the delay?

There is no option for refund after two years of purchase 15:05

And we will not honour the testing either. There is 12 months window for sending the sample.'

I also revcieved a point blank response when i told them the reasons for why it was forgotton about as i was struggling. when you purchase something you assume it includes everything it was misleading to only sell you a digital format without sending you a physical kit to actually test for a sensitivity? It had been a long time so i understand some things go outside of a refund window but they provided no service to me what so ever. I just sent over £40 for nothing.

I was customer for long time, I used to trust this service because it was fast, transparent, and UK-based with results in a few days. This time I posted my hair sample to a UK address first class royal mail and waited over 23 days with no confirmation. Support then said samples go from a UK “collection point” to a testing (facility in Pakistan) and they cannot confirm receipt at the UK point. I was not clearly informed at purchase that my sensitive biological/health data could be processed overseas. The “3–5 working days” claim did not match reality. I’ve demanded a refund and destruction/erasure of my data.

I'm not sure what's going on with the other reviews, and reading them certainly scared me this time around... but I don't really have much bad to report...? I sent my sample tracked and signed for with Royal Mail, and at first I did have a scare that the letter initially failed to be delivered. But 2 hours later it was accepted and signed for. I'd already panic-requested a refund by that time (to which they did not respond, which is why it lost a star), but 2 working days after they signed for the sample, I got the results. I paid for the fast track option. This is my second time paying for an intolerance test, the previous one a couple of years ago in 2022. Admittedly, the first time took a while, but the sample was sent 1st class without special guaranteed delivery. This time was much better. As for the reports, mine from 2022 has been so invaluable and has significantly reduced my years of digestive discomfort, for which I am eternally grateful. After this, I finally persuaded my husband to buy one. From looking at the list now, the items on there do seem to initially make sense, so hopefully he'll feel better soon too.

So my key takeaway is:
It's not a scam
Fork out an extra £10 for special delivery
They really don't reply to their emails, so don't bother (edit: they responded 6 days later on Thu 4th December)
The tests are incredibly useful for non-allergies
The company could really do with making an appearance here to assure those with 1* reviews that they are still alive and doing business (no seriously, testmyfood).

Never had my results and do not answer emails.
I found a number for another brand name trading under the same address but the line was dead. I’ve been on live chat , Facebook, messenger and email but nothing.
I bought this test for £25 from a local health store and was assured that it was a good choice.

Really slow at responding to emails. Then only to find out they put themselves across as a good old British company and your hair sample gets sent to Pakistan!!!!!! I’m furious. I’ve been waiting 2 weeks for something that would have take. 24 hours return by email if done in the UK!!!

Didn't receive my results. Can't even get a response after trying for weeks. A scam ,beware

Emailed numerous times and had no response. Filled in the chat and no response. Paid fast tracking and heard nothing. Very disappointed and looks like i might need to charge back from the bank soon if i dont hear back as could be a scam.

I can’t believe I fell for this scam! Saw this advertised on Wowcher luckily I only parted with £13! The advert was rather hazy but seemed like a good bargain until I had purchased it and logged onto this scam artist site and realised it was just a load of rubbish.

Hair sample tests are not a scientifically validated or medically recognised method for diagnosing allergies or food intolerances which is exactly what this nonsense test is.

They expect you to pull out a clump of hair, bag it and then spend your own money posting it to some random building, lol!

Don’t think I’ll bother thanks, keep the £13 you clearly need it more than me if you’ve gone to this length to scam a load of people.

I’m not sure what’s going on with this company but it feels like i’m being scammed!
I paid fast track and got an email saying my sample was received 14 days ago. I was told it will be 3-5 working days maximum and i’ve had no response. I’ve emailed, tried to do online chat and just getting automated responses. It’s incredibly disappointing and frustrating and I think my £30 is down the drain.
Don’t get your hopes up on answers.

This company is a scam. They sent an email with my results which cannot be opened. Their contact methods don’t work and their “24/7 live chat” is never operated by anyone. It either sends you an automated message or says no one is online.
No one responds to emails.
Their Facebook page is 3 photos posted over and over again.
Have complained to the Commerce Commission - don’t waste your money (or hair!)

Had a chat with Cameron via chat who was very helpful with sorting out my query asap. The company had sent me the American return address for some reason so he sent me the uk one. Have yet to send off so can’t comment on the actual process/results.
