Waited over an hour on the phone.

After 20 years with Kiwibank , I am switching banks due to their unprofessionalism and lack of care of customers who have been defrauded online. Hollow promises,victim blaming and outright gaslighting is what you can expect. Their security is as poor as their customer service. They don't care and its apparent.Stay away, they are incompetent.

This will be the 3nd time my credit card has been hacked. The service is poor I'm over it 😫 they just don't give an ass. I'm so wild right now. I Do Not recommend kiwi bank at all. They are totally incompetent and money hungry. The person I delt with couldn't speak good enough English nor would they let me to talk. I had to hang up. They have lost another customer due to their stupidity, Especially they haven't learnt by now that my money or anyone else's isn't safe in their hands.

Stay away from this old generation bank. They still live in the 18th century. All other banks have well gone forward. They just bluff the kiwis using the "Name".
Had a transaction from friend listed as mischievous one. Well classified. It's a banks responsibility to keep their customers safe. The matter was notified to me (receiver) and my friend (sender). We both gave the explanations they requested. 2nd day, the matter was resolved for my friend and his account was unfreezed. But mine, with Kiwibank, today is the 5th working day, is still frozen. Can't make any online transactions. Including my employer pay that came into that account. I went to the branch and was notified that the case officer in my enquiry was on leave and was waiting for him to return. What???? That was yesterday, and today when I called, they told me to wait 20 working days as that's the bank policy.
There are lot of better options with NZ/Australian banks available at Aotearoa, why go with this silly one

I just was on a call to a Kiwibank employee at the Auckland call centre, her name was Ana and she was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful: I thoroughly enjoyed talking to her, and she made banking not only painless but pleasurable! So I wanted to give a positive review. Ana should be promoted or maybe not, because she is absolutely perfect in her role. Thank you Kiwibank for your helpful and smart employee Ana!!

Michele, Emma and Nardene, you ladies have been absolutely amazing to deal with. The correspondence to gather more information etc for my application was always clear and in a very timely manner. I just loved it when one of you picked your colleague's workload when she went on leave. Great advise and options from you all which led me to make a decision and secure the product which I needed. Thanks Heaps Team Kiwibank.

I have been a Kiwibank customer for 10 years, main reason is to support local businesses. Since Kiwibank became government 'controlled' their customer service has gone the way of government. "Blame the customer and take no ownership or care".
I have been battling a statement issue for 3 months with no resolution at all. I have even been lied to, in writing, and this is from a bank. Could Kiwibank do better? Absolutely, but does Kiwibank care?
I have one bit of advice for banks in general; you are in the business of customer service, nothing more, nothing less. Without customers, banks do not exist.

Firstly a 1* is already overated. Extremely disappointed with kiwibank. Phoned today call only answered after 1h26 min.last week was told scam report take 20 business day's. Today was told they have changed it to 60 business day's which is pathetic. I report the scam as soon as I noticed it. Kiwibank couldn't stop it although other banks can stop and reversed the money if still in pending mode. I blame kiwibank for allowing the scammers to get my money. After I lodge a report the money was still in pending mode for longer than 1 day.
Will definitely not recommend kiwibank

someone got money in my bank from online. i did not spent money they said I had to wait for that transaction 15 to 60 bussiness day. thats my money! why will i wait?

Worst bank. Had to wait two weeks for a request, they did apologise , said they were too busy. They declined my loan but I successfully applied at a different bank who answered all my queries very promptly and requests and I have since moved all my business to ASB bank.

Got new credit card- looks flash and funky but can't sign back plastic signature strip.Reduced to using felt tip pen.

NO the Manukau branch isn't invisible it's now BLACK.
Why would Kiwibank change the branch colour branding from Green to Black & expect the public to know it without advertising it to 'US' the public.

As a previous Kiwibank a/c holder..I find I can still log in. But trying to open a new free up account..unbelievable.
No..the system won't allow me to complete the application online.
I must attend a branch with the appropriate ID.

No problem I'll drive there.. to Manukau Mall, Clendon, Manurewa, Takanini..NO, only Atms.

Manukau branch Does Not exist. It hasn't for some years but the 2 different people on the 0800 says it does exist...Wrong. Not in Putney & absolutely not in the mall itself. Nowhere..

I value my time too. All this to open what should be a straight forward account. Trying to support our NZ owned bank should not be this hard.

Had my card compromised, security issue no fault of mine.
Had to wait for someone to "dispatch a new card" which took 5 days, then 5 days for it to be picked up by whatever mailing agency. 14 days later ring up to see what the go is, they say I should have it so lost in transit. I don't believe they sent it at all. Another 14 days later I received it. 6 weeks all up I waited for a fkn card!!!!! My partner ordered a card HIMSELF last Monday...low and behold it came in the mail today.
Absolutely useless bank even more useless fraud team and customer service. No surprises once a bank is govt though eh

I'm doing my best to support a New Zealand owned and operated bank, but they are making it so hard to do so.
Wait times over an hour, to give them money for fixed term deposit. Not possible to do on phone.
Wait 40 minutes only to be hung up on???
Rung 2 other banks and call answered with 1 minute

Come on Kiwi bank get your s..it together, you should be able to have all kiwis supporting you.
We don't want to support the big Ausi banks.
Make it easy for us.

I was one of Kiwibank's first customers decades ago. I'm cross with myself that it took me this long to wake up and smell the coffee ie the APPALLING JOKE THEY CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Keep your money under your mattress rather than w(b)anking with these 🤡.

The more times I interact with their customer services the more I become disappointed in this bank. Very much out for themselves not the customer.

Went to Kiwi bank in Westfield mall today. Mr Schamel with a big warm smile immediately willing to help. And he did. I just do not have enough words to compliment this gentleman. He is what this bank should be.

Bank hours are rediculous in Thames...10 till 2!. How do working people get to the bank? They can't. They are govt owned so be right at the front when it comes to making us cashless....that's what these hours are about.

Kiwi bank discriminates against mature people. I have sound reasons to say this. I am considering closing my accounts. I trusted Kiwi bank but you do not trust me as I am older. Yet you have 6 figure sums of mine in your bank.
I applied for a credit card for day to day basic shopping to get NZ air points to use for travel. I have zero debt and own 3 properties. You denied me. I suggested a secured credit card like they provide in the USA - u don’t even know what those are. I have excellent credit and can go elsewhere. Shame on you Kiwi Bank. You don’t support or see the value of your mature customers.
