ASB Bank Arvostelua 

By trying to add me as signatory to a new account and to an existing account my frustrations have multiplied. My access to a previously existing account has somehow been removed from my computer and all efforts to get a new login and reset have failed, Ask helpdesk and they refuse to verify my id because they asked me questions about a different account to the one i phoned about and didn't think it might affect my answers. Then they told me I had to go into a branch to sort it. Went into the branch who said there was no issue, but saw there was when they got me logged in. Then they said it was outside their jurisdiction to help, and I had to call a Business Fastnet helpdesk.
They stuffed up the new account loading in the first place, and I keep getting the runaround. Their systems are terrible, as I am sure the staff were actually trying to help.

Recently (Tuesday 15th September), had an issue with money deɛosited via the atm; unfortunately the atm stoppwd working during the middle of the yranaaction. I did get the inital $50.00 returned to me but not the coin balance. I came back today (Thursday 17th September), and I was helpped by an amazing young lady named Neelam Pokhard. She was very helpful. Neelams customer service was exellent I really felt the Neelam needs a pat on the ba k. I left happier than when I walked it.

We needed to break a short-term deposit for unplanned expenditure only about 10% of what a substantial amount have invested with ASB. After variuos phone calls with no response, and a trip to the closest branch that is open, we were informed of the procedure for a early termination of part of one of our 10 plus term deposits with ASB .
We were informed to make a formal request which we did and got a negative response as we didn't meet the banks criteria for a early termination ,even though we accepted the banks penalty break clause charges.
We've been customers of the bank for over 45 years,we have had mortgages which were repaid in full even at their original 22 % interest rates .We have had investment accounts with ASB for 30 years .
Despite requests for face to face meetings with ASB executives making these decisions and communicating them thru operational staff,we have been fobbed off with no consideration for 45 years of our banking .All we wanted was a partial release of our our own investment funds to meet unplanned expenditure.
Basically a complete lack of customer service and no accountability from a faceless management who will not even attend a meeting with us as customers nor talk to us on tge phone.
We are taking our business elsewhere.
We have no complaints with customer service levels at a branch level, whose hands are always tied by the person above them, it's the next level up that presents as a faceless non customer service organisation

Recently I had applied for personal loan top up of 13000. Already had a loan with them of 34000 and co-operative bank 4000.
ASB (gurumeet) AKA guru wasted so much of my time and later informed me that credit team declined as I can go in to financial stress. Even though I never missed any of my loan repayments. And account activity has been good.
I am asb customer since 2002.
Than I applied at first credit Union,they give 9.95% interest to TeWhatuOra nurses. They consolidated all my loans and also approved 10000 loan ,total 48000 .
Saving so much with low interest
Asb interest rate was 13.99%
I was paying so much in interest every fortnightly
All nurses contact first credit Union for lower interest rate if you need loan and drop out of ASB

Doesnt even deserve one star! Have been a customer for so long and denied our Home Loan-managed to get it done with another Bank with a better int. rate last year! Happy home owner with no thanks to ASB. tried a small personal loan again less than 5K and denied again! Come On!!! When do you actually help your customers! Staff take forever to respond. Will definitely change my bank now. No use feeding the leeches!

asb your treatment of me a long standing customer. Because I went into Botany Branch wanting to withdraw CASH . What do want it for? Hello it's none of your buiesness. They denied me MY $$ Manager spoke to me. Worried I'm being scammed. I am not wrote complaint to Bank & Ombudsman. Any way it's escalated they have clamped my card can only withdraw $600 a week. now in Fraud Dept. All because I wont tell them why I want $$ out. I will die first. I.m staunch it's my life my $$.. I believe in peoples rights.It's more involved than what's here. I have done nothing wrong. Great when a Bank refuses to give you your own $$ which they take quickly. J.H.

Absolutely the worst bank. Says you can add money to your roll over investment but you can't. When I called the bank, they tell you you'll lose your bonus interest. What a complete joke. I've had so many issues over the years. Mainly with online banking.

i hold the help line for 44 minutes for ask how to help to locking the credit card , and they told me to send email or give me another call back.

ASB bank used to be Auckland Savings Bank but unfortunately now it is owned by Australia along with regular bouts of Australian corruption. I have had money going missing out of my account which I proved and helpful staff returned my money. Just recently I had a scammer use my visa debit card number to rack up a purchase that I had never made and it was done over night. I complained to the fraud team and assured them that a mystery transaction had been made in the night that I didn't make and I wanted my money back. They said they looked into it and produced a transaction sheet kind of thing that detailed how much and to whom I had spent the money. I explained that was bull and it was that someone had purchased a clairvoyant consultation. I had been harassed on Facebook and told the fake profile that I was sure of my own destiny and did NOT want my future read. I have proof of my conversation. This person somehow had access online to my bank numbers and used them to make a transaction. I am intelligent and suspect it was a Thea Williams from Gold Coast (Queensland Police) and one of her friends who is a criminal coder and a problem (Sophie Murdock) stalks me online and through this bank. I believe it's a Murdoch Bank and she has free run and access to people's accounts. I have been waiting on a pay at the moment and I am sure this little madam is blocking my money. One is a significant amount and there's one small one expected today. It used to be a good safe New Zealand little bank but it's not trustworthy anymore. I even have my Kiwi Saver go down significantly when I complain.

ASB has brought in a new security software that stops overseas bitcoin buying , so you tell me I can’t tell me how I use my money okay goodbye ASB

They say it’s to stop us getting scammed while the two times(only $200) I did get scammed they didn’t care and said why it doesn’t count (1. I placed the order 2. I accepted the charges and never listened to what actually happened either times and the first time was a very realistic nz branded website… and the second time I approved a 1 off payment which was only meant to be $15 and the company took $89 each month but they wouldn’t look into it

Uchitha Fernando at Lunn Ave, Auckland gave me the best customer service I have experienced in a very long time long time
I had spent several hours the day prior on line to customer service ending up being very frustrated and confused ending up dealing with an external Tech person plus chat bot telling me I would be paired with a Veterinarian to fix my problem!!! Thankfully that didn’t happen 🙀, fast track to next morning I presented to ASB Lunn Ave Akld branch, it was my lucky day to meet Uchitha who confidently talked me thru syncing my laptop & mobile making sure both were working smoothly before I left a very happy grateful camper. I’m 78 and Uchitha didn’t in any way make me feel nervous or silly

This is where they monitor things like how you use your mouse, scroll, how you type, tap and swipe, and navigate between screens.

They’re forcing this on everyone. You can’t opt out.

I didn’t sign up to ‘1984’, I signed up to a bank.

If they actually cared about their customers, they would have respected them enough to make this optional.

I was promised a call back if issue unable to be fixed, Check my account online, issue not resolved, but no call back ! Kind of rude, and unreliable!

I have been an ASB customer for many years for both private and business. I went to open a new business account over the last few days. What a draconian, inhumane system. Because almost all the branches have shut in Christchurch, it's very difficult to meet ASB staff in person. Instead it's a fight with ASB technology (that appears to be inadequate for the job) and faceless staff at the end of emails that don't appear to have the requisite skills to do the job. Endless forms that appear to need boxes filled that aren't necessary etc. Another problem is that all the Australian banks appear to be the same and the kiwi banks don't do banks accounts for business. Bring back real banks and/or cash.

I had an issue making a payment through the ASB mobile app. I spoke with Maria Roos from ASB customer service, and she resolved my problem very smoothly. It was a great experience with her.

This bank has been completely useless in my experience.

Something as simple as changing my address requires booking an appointment, and the next available slot was two weeks away. That’s just ridiculous for such a basic request.

Because of this delay, I’ve been stuck in a difficult situation. In New Zealand, you can’t always pay everywhere with a card, so I came with cash — but cash obviously doesn’t last forever. Not being able to update my details quickly has put me in a really inconvenient position.

Overall, the process is slow, inflexible, and totally out of touch with real-life situations. I would not recommend this bank at all.

Quite disappointed in ASB. I applied for a personal loan, and the guy was saying their system, "bank system" could only take onboard half of one of my incomes into account. I thought that was utter bullshit as I got approved elsewhere today. I've been nothing but a loyal customer to ASB for over 20 years now. I've had loans with them in the past, two overdrafts that have both been FULLY PAID. and a credit card which was also FULLY PAID OFF!!! I am so disappointed, so now I am looking to bank elsewhere.
