Kiwibank Arvostelua 

We have just made a term investment with the Takanini Kiwibank. It's a very busy branch but Valerie was so helpful and abliging and the whole process was made a pleasure. I would like Kiwibank to know Valerie is a real asset to your organization.

Kiwibank is something local that we should be proud of...alas....its just embarrasing.

We made the unfortunate choice to move to Kiwibank. Their inability to support customers and understand business is astounding. Well behind the times technology wise as well.

Disgusting lack of service, outright lies and total lack of attempts to fix problems.
Fraud department hide behind a wall of anonymity and lack of accountability. Autoresponder replies only. No service. Then outright lies stating that we had been paid back, yet only half of the funds were returned.
The initial fraud was also VERY suspect, as the target card was rarely used, yet the fraudsters had full details for online transaction.
do not go with this bank until they change their ways

They are trying to get me to let a lawyer to reset my password, because I can’t receive the code to my Australian number. They do not have systems in place to simply send me an email instead or find another way to verify me.

When I lost it and complained, they threatened to drop me as a customer.

Do better. Millions of New Zealanders live overseas 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm a Kiwibank customer since the first days of Kiwibank. Kiwibank never was professional, but so much goes wrong recently, that I have to move on, even I would rather support a NZ bank. Customer service is basically inexistent. It seems nobody there is allowed to think. Common sense is something they have never heard of. Furthermore they were lying to me. Customers don't even have a choice how they would like to be addressed even if they feel very uncomfortable. As I said, they plain and simple don't care.

Becareful! Looking at tickets online and then changing your mind before purchasing them, KIWIBANK will then cancel your card for suspected fraud... BUT they won't tell you they've done it. So then you go shop and try and use zip and are embarrassed with it declining. You don't know why and assume it's zip. A couple of days later I try and prepay a coffee at BP and I am again declined. I finally ring the bank who tell me that they blocked my card. I have since had NO support in unblocking my card to get four refunds from a overseas government.... who will only refund via the card used to pay or treasury cheque's which NZ don't accept. So thanks to Kiwi Bank I have lost over $400 in refunds and they don't care and have been told there is nothing they can do. Even though they BLOCKED my card. I am in the process of changing banks pending on their fraudulent processes/policies. I should have been told straight away to save humiliation and embarrassment and inconvenience. Would not got my refunds but at least I would have believed kiwibank followed a process. They don't.

Horrible bank and service.

Tried the fastcapital service advertised online to increase overdraft limit to grow our business. Took Kiwibank over 11 days to get back to us with no luck. Have minimal debt and plenty of income to service overdraft.
Super not impressed with Kiwibank service and support.
Once upon a time I thought it was a good thing to stick with nz owned bank.
Other bank approved us within 1 day of applying

This company has gone down hill massively in the last 7 years ,they offer no services to customers that aren't getting exploited via mortgages, on Sunday my visa debt card was eating by a machine so I went in store on Monday and asked for another but company policy is no cards over the counter ,so I was told it would be delivered in 2 days it's now Friday and no visa debt card so I went back and they have changed their story it will take 7 working days to arrive, so I've got to wait 9 days in total for a card which I used to get in store on the spot . I will be looking at other banks next week as there is no timely response.

I think it is good to support NZ owned businesses. Kiwibank has always had cheaper rates than the other greedy Australian owned banks.
The only thing I would have an issue with is I have to drive further to put cash into my account. They should have kept the local ATM’s

Think this is a bank primarily for government employees & academics who have fixed incomes... if you are a business owner - they treat you like dirt - probably to the point of human rights abuse in terms of discrimination

I don't even have the respect for them to write a further review.

If you have a credit card with Kiwibank be very careful. You expect a certain level of protection from scams and erroneous charges with a credit, but kiwibank does not help even in the most clear cut of situations. Needed the ombudsman to step in to sort them out.

The most greedy bankers. Mortgage rates higher than even Australian banks. Joke!

I have visited kiwi bank Riccarton at Westfield shopping mall, three times seeking an answer to my query. I would appreciate it if Rubin and Babita could address customers in a calm and respectful manner, maintaining a lower tone of voice. Using terms such as "great," "fantastic," or "excellent" with high enthusiasm, without providing concrete answers to specific questions, does not resolve the issue. I encourage you to think critically and consider creative solutions to the queries presented, rather than simply dismissing them.

It's crap that I can't give the 0 stars. At every turn they have taken money when it was meant to be a zero fees account. Their internet banking system sucks, literally down on a weekly basis. Customer services were shirt and rude. There is no longer any branches or ATMs. I signed up way back when they promised KB was a kiwi venture. It is not anymore. The last two nights I have gone to get food, in my way home from work and their app has been down. Today is Friday and I wanted beers, I went to the supermarket to buy beers and hello, ATM card is not working, internet banking is not working, phone banking is not working. 8 can't count how often this happens. But hey, as long as their share holders are happy, who cares about the rest. I'm out. In Monday I will be changing to the co op bank. Horrible. Just horrible.

Unless I hate being told by some migrant bank worker what to do with making it so hard to open up a kids account there rude.

I was about to sign up with Kiwibank because they are more keen on crypto than the other nz banks. However I saw their ads on neon about brutus cat and thought they seemed so unprofessional and that I couldn't trust them with my money, true story

We have been waiting for 3 weeks for kiwi bank to give us answers on how someone can withdraw $15,000 in 20min from 4 different accounts and give us call after the fact saying have you done these transactions WHAT!!!!! How stupid are they will never have trust in kiwi bank.

I have been with Kiwibank since the beginning and have only ever had 1 issue which was I couldn't get a personal loan. But 100% happy with all other services.

Forgot my password to my account through the app, got locked out. Rang the bank to get access to my account and because I didn't know the amount of money I had in my account or the exact time and date that I last used the account online they locked me out and now have to take a 2 hour drive to the nearest branch to get access back. Customer service had no care or want to help me further this is the last time I deal with kiwibank
