Over priced clothing. All round terrible service

Let down yet again with delivery of another order!
I only ordered further items from this outfit as they said delivery would be in time for my holiday on the 15/08 now it’s the 01/09 and I’ve still not received items or a refund.
The arrogant polish telephone customer service operator who you get through to speaks to you like shit. Sat at home with her kids and dog kicking off in the background. Currently in the process of getting a refund which is painful and closing my account.

Stole £301.84 from me and claim I might get my money back.

I tried to place a order 4 times for the Jacamo bank holiday sale using a 15% discount code they emailed to me. The first order was flagged by my bank but still went through. My bank text me to ask if it was me despite them sending me a OTP code for the transaction. I replied Y for yes that it was me.

The second order I had to manually add all the clothing items back into the basket. This then was also cancelled.

I then attempted a third order with a second Jacamo account I had opened recently. This too was cancelled. So having spent a hour trying to place the order and being charged £75.71 three times I called Santander and spoke with a lovely lady overseas. She said all three transactions had been approved, despite Jacamo cancelling them all.

While on the phone I told her I did not want to miss out on the sale and the 15% discount code, so I manually added all the clothing items back into the basket and placed another order. This time it went through and was not cancelled. The emails regarding the cancelled orders said I had not been charged which is a total lie.

The next day shortly before 2pm this order was also cancelled. I called Jacamo and spoke to a lady in South Africa. She told me the account / order referrals team canceled all the orders from their back office and that I was being checked for fraud.

This issue is that not only will I lose out on the sale, I was told this has now been referred to the ‘finance’ team and I have to wait 5 days to see if they decide I will get my £301.84 refund. And once they decide if I am entitled to a refund from the money they stole from me, apparently I can then place another order with them.

I asked her to ask them to refund me now, she refused. I cannot wait 5 days. I was planning on purchasing a used office desk of which is rare and of which there are only a couple left. But apparently I don’t even know if I am going to get a refund at all. Jacamo basically stole my money four times and I was also told until this is all sorted out, at least 5 working days I cannot place an order again, not that I would want to.

So I don’t know if I am going to get my £301.84 back plus the return of one item from my order two weeks ago, the courier Evri failed to show up yesterday, so even their returns system is broken.

Jacamo sham company. Avoid!

Used to like them. But not any more. Shocking company now.
Sent me an email, which they now deny, saying I had a £30 credit, but no conditions on its use. Used the credit, then they reversed it, saying I had to buy £60 of goods to get the credit. Spoke on webchat and phoned. First to advise me it would be rectified, second said a lot of customers had the same problem, and it was escalated to management. Had to chase them again, and now they are basically calling me a liar.
If they had said all this earlier, I would have returned the goods in July. Instead, I returned the unused goods after the official return date.
Now they are charging me a £12 admin fee. For what??? Their customer service are incompetent, and their managers are too gutless to speak to customers on the phone.
The company is a complete sham, from to to bottom
Will be closing my account, and have no intention of paying them their admin fee.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service , instant data leak after signing up , started receiving fake emails from jamaco asking for me to confirm bank details via email a day after signing up , called customer service and they said it wasnt them , there systems clearly have a breach , avoid at all costs

Fraudulent account applications

Jacamo clearly have a problem in checking people applying for accounts with them. The company need to do much more rigorous security and ID checks.
Myself and a friend have both recently had accounts set up in our names using our address.
Jacamo should only set up credit accounts having checked the applicant has a valid, registered bank account, or a registered credit card that matches the alleged applicant’s address.

Terrible company owned by JD Williams…

Terrible company owned by JD Williams with other bad brands like Marisota. Jacamo pursued a debt that did not exist, even when I provided proof via my bank statements proving that all payments had occurred. The first few years I was a customer were fine, then the customer service deteriorated.

Response:
The company had ample opportunity to resolve this over a prolonged period of time. I repeatedly made contact and showed proof that I owed nothing. Eventually, you passed it on to a debt collection agency and essentially washed your hands of it, telling me the debt was no longer with you. I paid the balance to prevent harm to my credit file. Do you really think I want to engage with Jacamo again? Not for all the tea in China!

I would recommend that people avoid Jacamo and any other brand owned by JD Williams.

Expect you to know when your first payment is coming out without them actually telling you!

I setup a direct debit with Jacamo as I wanted to just have a regular payment that I didn't have to remember or worry about. A few days after the payment was due, I had a text from them saying my payment was overdue which I thought was odd. I could see the direct debit had been setup on my bank and also I'd had a letter from them saying it was setup.

I rang them and got through to a rude woman who basically told me that because my payment was due on the 26th July (it wasn't, this was the date the statement was generated!!) and I hadn't set up the direct debit till after this date, that's why it never got taken. I tried to explain to her multiple times that I set up my direct debit before the due date (over the 3-5 days setup time) and she couldn't understand the difference between the statement date and the statement due date. Then she started saying it was my fault as I hadn't read the direct debit terms and conditions (which is just a link to the direct debit website that tells you about the direct debit guarantee) ... First golden rule of customer service, NEVER tell the customer that something is "their fault"

I don't know if everyone's direct debits get taken on the same day or not because all it says on their website is "Your Direct Debit will be taken every 28 days, in line with your statements – not every month. If you don't have the required funds in your account, you may incur a charge from your bank" and all it states on the letter is "Remember, your Direct Debit comes out every 28 days. It shows on your bank account as JD Williams. If you need to pay us before your first Direct Debit comes out, here's how to do it"

Nowhere in my account nor on that letter does it state WHEN my first direct debit will come out, so how am I supposed to know if I need to pay you before my first direct debit comes out if I'm not made aware of when that will be? I just assumed that it would come out on the due date like it does for my credit cards, broadband, mobile and every other direct debit I have, and then it would come out again 28 days after that.

Telling someone repeatedly that payments come out every 28 days is completely pointless when I don't know when that 28 day cycle starts. Sorry Jacamo, but this is an issue your end!

Paid annually for next day delivery, last three order (with Evri) defaulted to 3-5 days. I cancelled the previous order after waiting 7 days, this last order arrived with 1 of the 7 items and was 2 days late. Used to be a good company but obviously on it's last legs. Shop elsewhere is my advice

Another company, let down by Evri.

While I don't have any issues with the items I recieved, I have been having to deal with the stress of dealing with Evri's customer service.
Tried to issue a complaint about my courier failing to deliver my items multiple times and any response I've gotten has been completely irrelevant.
Jacamo need to stop using Evri and find a new courier service.

Absolutely rubbish company ordered some stuff for next day delivery waited all day as it said it on it way by ervi it never got delivered and said it will be delivered in 4 days so called the african call center which can even speak english or understand you and was told by them even thou they charger for next day delivery they dont guarantee it so i cancelled the order as i need the clothes the day after and they not refunded me yet its veen a week and on top they charged me postage for something i never got in the first place very appalling and money grabbing company so beware when you buy of theses

Sent to wrong address and wont refund!

So after placing an order on the quite easy online system I received tracking information for my parcels which showed the wrong address. Despite my order all being correct.

Informed them of the issue and the customer service team said they would put a return in on the parcel to stop the delivery and I would have to reorder online again if I wanted my goods.

Now they use Evri, that renowned reliable delivery company, and the returning parcels have been 'processing at our hub' for the past 10 days. Jacamo's useless customer services will not even start to process a refund until the parcel is returned to them. Despite it not being the buyers responsibility. You just get some wishy washy statements and plattitudes. Im having to organise a charge back on my card which is more hassle. All for a measly £100 order.

Absolute joke of a company. A real shame.

The situation goes from worse to…

The situation goes from worse to appalling. Following my non delivery for a parcel due for delivery by Ervri (with them for 10 days) Jacamo had agreed to refund the order in full to me and I had this in writing from them. Today Evri tried to deliver and so I refused the delivery which I thought the right thing to do. I informed Jacamo ( wish I hadn’t) that Evri had finally attempted delivery. To my absolute disgust I was then told by Jacamo they will re charge my account pending return of the items from Evri and process as a standard refund. Disgusted, one for the financial ombudsmen to take up as well as my bank. jD Williams / Jacamo I am done with you as customer - this is terrible behaviour by a retailer and I’m fairly certain charging my account without my permission is illegal.

Customer service is shocking

Customer service is shocking. Still waiting 4 weeks for any response to a complaint. Returns process doesn't work if parcel is lost or not collected from a collection point. Still trying to sort it out after a number of conversations as gave up with the complaint now. Not interested in helping the customer at all!
