Renewal price raised price by £1000 and tried to take funds from my bank without prior notification. Won’t be dealing with again.

Stay way clear! Tried to double my insurance as a slight error on my part, cancelled after only 2 days and got £65 charge! Ended up with another insurance that was way cheaper than the first quote. Avoid!

Serious Renewal Scam
I have just recieved my renewal notice with a nearly 300% increase in premium.
There have been absolutely no claims in the last year or changes in policy details except for the additional year.
I will be bringing this to the attention of the Regulator.
What a scam!

The only confusion was on NCD protection that was not clearly mentioned if applicable or not.
Price was not too good but was affoardable.

Payment system 'fragile'
Gave me a reasonable renewal quote, so I left it to auto-renew. Received email telling me my insurance had renewed, but later received a text message to say my payment had been refused (because I had a replacement card a few months ago - same details apart from security number). I logged into the website and was met with an option to pay, so started the process. Got part way through and it was then that I realised why the payment had been rejected. I had to go fetch my card from another room, which took me a couple of minutes. I entered the new security details and was given a message that I should authorise the payment through my banking app, which I did. At that point, the iGO4 website seemed to realise the payment had been authorised, so carried on it's own processing, only to tell me it had timed out. My banking app showed me a pending payment that had been authorised, but I was left not being sure my payment had been received, and I didn't want to be left with no insurance. I could find no evidence on the website that I had paid, so I called iGO4 to find out. At that point I would have left a review score of 4, but I have reduced it to 3 as a result of the phone call. It took quite a long time to get to talk to somebody, and further time to get him to understand what the problem was. He eventually worked out that my payment 'seemed' to have been made. I asked him to confirm what he'd said, and he did do a few minutes later, and I asked him to feed back to the web team that the timeout being relatively short had caused this issue, so they might want to review it. At this point in time he started claiming that the timeout was due to my web browser, and that the only authorised browser was 'Internet Explorer', so me using Edge was probably why I had problems.
So, in summary, great until I had to use the website and customer services.
