Icewear Arvostelua 

I bought an expensive wool sweater directly from the company’s website. It shipped from Iceland pretty quickly, and in time for Xmas (DHL express for en extra $35). It arrived in good time but it is pure junk. It claims to be Icelandic wool (I’m dubious), but it is clearly not hand-knitted in Iceland. The tag says “designed in Iceland” but no mention of where it is actually made (most likely some cheap labor market country in Asia). The quality is absolutely awful, so now I will have to send it back to Iceland (another $35), with nothing to show except a $70 (plus tax) lesson and no nice Xmas present for my wife (who is a big fan of Icelandic wool seaters). Avoid this scammy company.

We've had multiple purchases in our family from Icewear. One order was an issue, but after a period of time it was completely resolved in our favour. We really like the management of this company. It is highly automated, which, admittedly, can occasionally cause issues, but it prides itself on quick shipment, and does very well using DHL. From Reykjavik by air to our home in California was 5 days. That's fast.

The goods shipped are of very good to excellent quality. We've purchased sweaters and parkas from Icewear. The attention to detail on the parka was way above average. The Icelandc Sheep wool insulation really works, and the parka is very light, yet works well from about 10 F. to about 50 F. There's quite a bit of detail on the parka such as a built in passport pocket and small reflective fabric decorations which might help at night. The zipper color contrasts with the base color of the fabric which seems quite rain resistant and comes with a hood attached. We have a Langjökull Icelandic sheep wool jacket and on another occasion, we ordered sweaters from the company. The quality of the sweaters is good to excellent. They are machine made, and the price reflects that. Icewear is a chain operation in Iceland and you can visit their retail operations in the capital as well as in several other cities and in some tourist spots. There is a tax adjustment that can be made for VAT as you leave the country. It is taken care of at the airport, typically at Keflavik. I would buy from Icewear again, and I watch their pages for sales which they do have from time to time. The holidays are a good time to buy with them, and you will, most likely, be entirely satisfied with their products. If you are going to Iceland, look at their products. They work well with the ever changing Icerlandic weather. If you're going to the interior of the country, get a Parka AND a sweater. You'll need both. I hope this review is helpful to you, and it took me quite a while to get to writing it. Go Get your Icelandic Parka! You will be quite happy with it.

Ich hatte am Mittwoch Abend, 13.11.24, zum ersten Mal bei iceland.is Pullover bestellt, weil mir die Internetseite insgesamt ganz gut gefällt und die Produkte zu angemessenen Preisen angeboten werden. Das machte mich neugierig und heute, am 15.11.24, wurde das Paket bereits zugestellt. Die Pullover probierte ich gleich an und sie passen perfekt und die Verarbeitung ist mMn einwandfrei. Da gibt es nichts zu kritisieren. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden mit icewear.is und das wird sicherlich nicht meine letzte Bestellung dort gewesen sein.

I had a problem with a seam of my pullover and contacted the service. After a short conversation via mail Icewear send me a brand new one instantly!

I placed an order on Friday, I am in the UK and received it today (Monday). I love the icewear jumpers and couldn’t wait until I was back in Iceland to buy the puffin jumper and hat. I am glad I ordered it as it was easy and quick, it’s too warm to test them just yet, but if they are like the ones I brought from Iceland I don’t see there being an issue . I would buy again online as it was easy and quick

Brought a few items in the Vik store, whilst traveling to Iceland. There was a fault with the stitching in one of the t-shirts. The support team where quick to react and sent a replacement over to the UK. All other items are to a very high quality and the customer service was prompt and solved the issues. Would buy again.

The quality of the warm jacket on the wool insulation was very disappointing. They are completely empty on the sides and in some places on the sleeves. I am very cold in winter, so I decided to try to buy a warm jacket here. Winter is not cold yet, but I understand that it will be cold with an empty heater. I wrote to the support service. I was told that if you want to return the product, pay 30 pounds. I believe this is a scam. I spent 230 pounds on an order, of which I have to return 30 for a poor quality product. I really do not recommend this outfit. I mean outerwear. Maybe the sweaters are also of good quality, I won't know because it was the first and last experience with this store!!!

I’m beyond impressed with the level of customer service I received from Icewear!
The shipping and handling were incredibly fast: 4 days to receive the parcel from Iceland to Italy, with the weekend in between. The items I ordered are of excellent quality and exceeded my expectations. What really stood out was the gesture of refunding a discount even though the code wasn’t properly applied at checkout. That level of care is rare these days, and it has made me a loyal customer. Highly recommended!

Amazing service. I received the order from Reykjavik within 2 days! I’m really pleased with my hooded cardigan. Lovely colours and very warm. Happy customer.

I must highly praise a fantastic customer service. They were super reactive and very friendly. I ordered wool and received the wrong one... mistakes happen .. they agreed to send me the right wool without any payment on my part and I can also keep the other wool... the reason they gave was - we made the mistake - so thank you very much. I will order again from you.

Tolle Kleidung, warme, zeitlose, nordische Sachen im Angebot. Leider hohe Zollkosten und die Pullis kratzen etwas, das ist aber normal. Guter Shop!

Bought the Reykjavik winter coat with Icelandic wool padding in December 2023, in a bright orange color. It's very warm and I liked the look. But in just a few months of leisurely use (I'm retired and disabled, so the most I do is walk around in my neighborhood and ride the subway in it), the coat acquired black grime around the pockets and the seams on the sleeves. I consulted the care instructions and saw that it could not be dry cleaned, and emailed the company re: how to clean it. They responded suggesting that I use a "tech wash" product (such as Nikwax) for waterproofed outerwear. My apartment washing machine is too small for a large coat, so I set about hand-washing it with a dilute solution of Nikwax. That process had zero effect on the black marks on the sleeves and around the pockets. This grime is permanently set into the fabric and will not come out. I'm surprised at how easily the coat absorbed dirt that can't be removed. I loved the bright color but I guess I'll go back to a black coat of higher quality.

The Icewear Outlet is a scam. There is no Outlet! You drive 40min in a que to the Outlet store only to find out that they have one small chamber in the store were indeed is an Outlet. The stuff sold there is terrible and very very Limited! The Chamber is in a lager normal Store with the normal high prices…

bought the Petul men's pullover, its a thin knit that's not that good, the design is nice but its overpriced for the quality.

I bought some slippers from Icewear. A fault became apparent after they arrived. Icewear were incredibly helpful, replacing the slippers promptly. Alexander and Harpa from the customer team kept me informed throughout and were friendly and helpful. Lovely slippers and lovely staff!

The zipper for my son’s fleece got stuck without any apparent reasons. We were disappointed as we loved the product and we thought it was very well made with ann excellent quality material, otherwise. I contacted Icewear customer service and explained the situation and sent photos and proof of purchase. Then, they immediately sent us another fleece to replace. We are so happy with their products as well as their customer service. Highly recommend!

I love the Icewear brand, and products. I wish I had added up the costs of buying and returning products to them before purchasing though. I bought a two sweaters for £115 each, with a view to sending one that didn’t fit as well back (it turns out they ran quite large). Once the tax and postage was added in, the total was £305 - I sent the huge one back and received a refund of the less than the price of one sweater once return postage was deducted.

One £115 sweater ended up costing me close to £200.

The bottom line, be cautious.

Made in China. The website suggests that products are made in Iceland. You can read mentions like: "Icelandic manufacturer", ""we oversee wool and garment production at various locations in Iceland..." but NO mention whatsoever that what is sold online comes from China or elsewhere. I want to support local economies, traditions and limit transportation. It's fine to produce in China, only you need to not be misleading about it and to charge far less. This is not transparent and lacks professional ethics.

Cette entreprise est une entreprise d'escrocs, ni plus ni moins ! Après m'avoir débitée deux fois (avec un différentiel de 0.37 euro sans aucune raison pour chaque commande) suite à un blocage de leur site, ils reconnaissent l'erreur après que je les ai contactés. Je renvoie l'article avec une étiquette retour fournie par eux et aujourd'hui je me rends compte qu'ils m'ont remboursée moins de la moitié ! Litige ouvert immédiatement chez Paypal, ne surtout pas se laisser faire par cette entreprise qui en plus fait des publicités mensongères avec des pseudos réductions qui n'existent pas ! Service Clientèle de la Communauté Européenne prévenu ce jour. Et j'attends le remboursement total d'urgence. Honte à vous !
