Bought a Hyunday land trimmer which I had to send back for repair after a few hours of use. It took 3 months to come back after which time the cutting season had past. The machine laid on store until this morning when in trying to start it the recoil pull cord spring assembly broke irretrivably. I rang Genpower 4 consecutive times and every single instance I was held on the line for over 30 minutes and disconnected after the operator promised to transfer me to warranty. After over two hours of waiting I purchased the broken part online. Thanks Genpower for an appalling customer service.

Absolutely hopeless. 2 month old lawnmower stopped working and after contacting the company to advise same, I am left feeling like a criminal.

Customer service is utterly abysmal. After sending the required video of myself showing it was broken, 5 days later I am advised that I need to disassemble, re package the item to the original standard and then call them to arrange collection, which if I am not available they will charge me for. Then they will charge me for labour and parts to repair it and postage back to me.

The thing is 2 months old!!! Never will I buy anything from them again. Best avoided.

The lawnmower is going into the bin.

I had good communication throughout my issue .Paul Jones was great.He was very professional dealing with the warranty.The unit was turned around within 48 hours.Once despatched I had my delivery very quickly with FedEx.So all in all I am very happy thank you.

Ordered a long reach hedge trimmer via Ebay from these. It stopped working after one use. I contacted them and claimed via the warranty. They told me to cut the cord and provide photo proof which I did and then advised a replacement would be sent out. 4 weeks later and numerous chases emails and I'm still waiting for the replacement. Seriously avoid this firm at all costs.

Absolutely shocking experience from Genpower. Purchased an artificial grass sweeper which took weeks to arrive and then turned out to be faulty. Trying to return the piece of junk and get refund has been a complete nightmare.

After contacting them for a refund, they arranged a FedEx collection, which never turned up. I called again, and they booked another collection date with yet another label to print at home. I stayed indoors waiting for the collection and once again, nobody arrived.

After chasing them a third time, I’m told the product needs to be returned via DPD drop-off instead. Despite all of this, I still haven’t received the DPD label.

I’ve now wasted over a week trying to return a faulty product and who knows how much longer it’ll be til I get my money back. Their products are rubbish, their process is chaotic, their communication is poor, and the whole experience has been crap start to finish

I had bought an vaccum/blower from Genpower, it got some fault and Genpower sent me a replacement really quick. I appreciate Soureshna from customer service as he was really helpful.

Ordered a petrol mower which arrived in record time, very pleased with that part of the service. However the foam on the handle was damaged. I contacted the customer service team, decided it was to be returned this is where it all went down hill. The delay in all of their communications resulted in significant disruption to the process. One person I spoke to said it could be picked up last Friday but as I was away I asked for the Monday. I didn't hear anymore so I contacted them again and spoke to someone different in which I was told it would have to be Tuesday. I reluctantly accepted that. I asked that the label be sent to me before the weekend as I would not have access to a computer. No label received. On checking the date for the collection of mower I noticed it wasn't Tuesday but Wednesday. therefore it has taken more than a week to arrange the collection. They then need the mower back before they will send another one so that's another week delay. not impressed!

Craig Wikes wa 100% helpful in guiding me through a guarantee procedure, I cannot fault his patience, absolutely cracking that chap.

ordered a complete engine rebuild kit for petrol mower but only half of it arrived 48hrs after ordering in time for next day delivery. also requested torque settings for rebuild at same time. it took 4 days to get complete rebuild kit.
so far having had 5 separate emails from Rukshal concerning torque settings all with partial settings at each stage this has so far taken 19 days from date of order for a next day service. i have had to repost as first review has vanished (i wonder why)

Very disappointing experience with Hyundai Power Products / Genpower.

My lawnmower suffered a major motor failure well within the advertised 3-year warranty period. After inspecting the machine, the company rejected the warranty claim, stating that a previously repaired power cable was the “likely” cause of the motor failure.

The problem is that the mower continued to work perfectly for well over a year after the cable repair. I experienced no electrical issues during that time. Before the failure, the blade also appeared to be sticking or partially seized, but this possibility was never properly addressed.

What frustrated me most was the lack of answers. I repeatedly asked for technical evidence, details of the testing carried out, the engineer’s report, and an explanation of how a cable repair could supposedly cause a motor to fail over a year later. Instead of answering these questions directly, I received repeated statements that it was “possible” the repair caused damage over time.

“Possible” is not proof.

Despite several emails, I still have not received a clear technical explanation showing that the repaired cable actually caused the motor failure. The company appears happy to rely on assumptions while refusing to properly address reasonable questions from a customer whose machine failed within the warranty period.

Based on my experience, the 3-year warranty offered little protection when I actually needed it.

Ordered a long reach hedge trimmer from
B&Q which is apparently shipped by Genpower. Despite receiving an email stating that my goods have been delivered, accompanied by an image of the goods being held by a faceless person, I am still yet to receive my order. I have spoken to DPD who suggested I need to speak with the supplier as they cannot help and also contacted Genpower numerous times but still have no resolution. Although I did receive an email suggesting I should knock on everyone’s door to try and find it( great help). Do not order from these people or B&Q. At the moment I am £116 down and STILL dont have an answer from them.

There is no customer service! I have hung on the phone three times now until it rings off. I have rung separately and left a voicemail that hasn’t been returned. I’ve even rung and pressed the option for a sales line for a trade buyer and they didn’t answer that during their self imposed 15 minutes of maximum! They just don’t care; even if you might be a trade buyer buying dozens of products!

Logistics nightmare
Imagine these guys have a policy to not deliver to logistics companies able to forward parcels to destinations they do not cover. Therefore unable to get my gear shipped to the Isle of Man. Clearly they are not smart at shipping.
They did offer though to deliver to a domestic address in the UK and have that person ship that back to my logistic company… are you kidding me???
They cancelled my order with no email, no apologies but did returned the funds. I had to actively chase them for an explanation. Switchboard overloaded, I finally got a callback from a nice understanding guy, but unable to fix my issue. Asked to talk to management without success.
This is another company where if you are lucky your order goes well, but if there is a glitch you are on your own, with no flexibility to humanely assist.

Soureshna Gave me a prompt and full explanation to my question. I had a problem with my JCB petrol pressure washer.

Well I had great reservations on wether I would get any satisfaction from my 3 year warranty on my Hyundai garden sucker blower, I was so wrong, Craig was brilliant he arranged a collection within a week and they fixed it and returned it in 2 weeks.
