Very easy app to use. Always accurate. Great customer service. An issue at there end was resolved within 15 minutes while we tried activating one of our passes. Was very impressive. Great job.

Terrible for a novice

No easy way of knowing how to use the app. What your supposed to have when you get on the train to show the person in charge.
Let alone some info is in email and some is on the app.. really
Cost is not as beneficial as advertised.. still paying for seats on all the trains. Useless and expensive.

Nice first class carriage, frustrating reservation system

I didn't like having to pay to reserve a seat. The website and app were a little clumsy. I overpaid for 7 trips. We only used two. That was my mistake. Departure times were precise, I liked that. Luggage storage was a little small. The carriage was nice, for 1st class, but nothing special. I'm coming back to Europe in a few months. I plan to rent a car next time.

Excellent customer service

The customer service in this company is excellent! I had made a mistake in activating a "travel day" wrongly in my Eurail pass, leading to the loss of a full day´s travel. Ethan told me what I had to do to document this. I sent it in and there, magically, was a new travel day. So now I will get home, all the way from Malaga to Oslo, after all.

Received fine for not completing trip in mobile app

We purchased a Eurail pass and went on a trip using the Rail Planner mobile app. We created a trip in the app and put our contact information in there, and linked it to the seat reservation. However, I was still charged 50 euros as a fine for not finalizing the trip in the mobile app. I didn't realize there were still steps to complete (it used to just be a ticket they would hole punch). It needs to be more clear that there are additional steps to complete!

Punctuality and courtesy lacked

Some of the trains were super late and crowded. No A/C on some in a heat wave. One of the ticket checkers was insanely rude

Relation clientèle au top!

Je dois préciser que nous n'avons pas pu utiliser notre pass pour des raisons familiales...
Mais que nous avions déjà commencé à programmer notre périple en nous aidant de l'appli très intuitive et réellement utile
Ma notation porte sur Le service clientèle qui est absolument irréprochable.
Très réactif, avec des réponses claires et vraiment
personnalisées derrière lesquelles il y a des "vrais" humains.
Par ailleurs les process sur l'appli sont très clairs et vraiment rapides.
Et eurail est tout à fait en mesure de s'adapter aux particularités de ses clients.
J'ai déjà du procéder à un échange l'année dernière, j'étais totalement hors délai pour le faire ,Ils se.sont montrés très compréhensifs m'ont accordé un premier échange avec une 1ere dead Line ...comme je n'avais pas eu la possibilité matérielle de réaliser l'échange , on m'a accordé une seconde dead Line!
Lors du remboursement que j'ai effectué aujourd'hui, j'ai été en contact avec des personnes vraiment à l'écoute de ma situation personnelle..
Je recommande très souvent interrail à mon entourage, pour sa simplicité d'utilisation et de gestion et pour la fluidité dans les échanges avec le service clientèle

I have travelled with Eurail for the 2 months

I have travelled with Eurail for the last few months and I had a issue that I needed to resolve. I used the chat feature and chatted to Sophie and Sophie understood my issue and was able to help me out. I am so greatly for the support!

Did not receive refund for returned passes

My plans changed, so I requested a refund on two passes that were never activated. I never received the refund, and now (two months later) the passes are expired.

To improve the travel experience, Interrail may occasionally run pilots that extend the number of journeys allowed in the country of residence. When a country is eligible, the additional allowance is automatically applied to the mobile Pass and shown in the app once the Pass is added. The applicable rules are also outlined in the Pass Conditions of Use.

Hice una compra de dos abonos en marzo del año 2025 para recorrer toda Italia. Lamentamente, me detectaron cáncer en el riñon derecho, lo que me impide por el momento, realizar mi soñado viaje. Explique mi problema de salud al equipo. Despúes de documentar debidamente mi caso, resolvieron reintegrarme lo pagado. Todos los operadores fueron claros, precisos en sus preguntas, amables y su respuesta fue inmediata. Obviamente, cuando visite Europa, no dudaremos en contratar sus servicios. Los recomiendo 100%. Felicitaciones !!!

they allowed hackers to steal my personal data

The company admitted to having lost ALL MY PERSONAL DATA to hackers. Data which they shouldn't even have had anymore at the time, and which they should have thoroughly protected. This company is CRAZY INCOMPETENT and thus DANGERGOUS to anyone working with them.

Horrible would not recommend

Horrible would not recommend.
Times and platforms for trains/busses were not accurate, no updates occurred in app. The only good thing was that I could book a new train in the app but the train numbers did not correspond with screens at train station. Overall very confusing and not easy to use.

If you want flexibility, Eurail is for you!

I travelled from Australia, and went to many major European cities, and I wanted to plan ahead.
Good stuff: ease of use: the app was easy to use (when we needed to show our tickets) and worked well overseas.
Not so great stuff: poor interfacing. The website and the phone app don't connect, so when you go through planning a trip online and expect it to show up on your phone app (even though it's the same login and account) it won't.
Planning ahead is difficult: i booked several trains seperately as it looked like they weren't on the Eurail program, but i was likely just trying to book them too soon. or, the eurail program showed far fewer trains per day, than what the reality on the day was, making us choose and book around certain trains, when it wasn't particularly necessary.
Given that the Eurail covers no local trains, just major cities, I don't think I really needed it for my trip, i would have been better off just booking tickets directly through any other app. but if you know you want to travel to/from lots of major cities, and you might just add in day trips whenever you feel like it, then Eurail is for you!

Customer service dreadful

Customer service dreadful, no phone number, AI reply no consideration given to customer loyalty.

Despite requesting my complaint be expedited to management this request refused. Tried to email CEO Carlo Boselli - he chooses not to give email or contact.

Due to technical issues with site unable to buy 4th pass within 25% offer period (previously spent €3000).
