Delivered my Water softner in time and at a good price including free salt blocks.

Bought a water filter and softener but it wouldn't fit so I needed to return it. No problem it seemed - at least to being with. We got a return number (hadn't even unpacked it) and actually delivered it back to them in person. Getting the payment back was an entirely different matter. All sorts of excuses. After a week - they needed to unpack it and check it over. Then they needed permission from someone. Then, they were short staffed. Then admin were only part time and so not available to do it. Then they pointed out it took time for the banks to act on their instructions and send a credit. Paid for by credit card on 21 Mar 24, refund received after much hassle on 7 May 24 - and that was £25 short of what I had paid. EMWC: If you are reading this, I'm still waiting.

I didn't have a confirmation email or read your website before buying. I purchased at a show after face to face communication and the returns policy wasn't mentioned. I did subsequently check your website and read your policy, but being realistic, does it really take nearly 7 weeks to check the returned items? I would have thought a quick skim through orders and past emails about returns would have brought up my name - after all, I did email a lot.

Additional comment: Apparently, the £25 was retained for repackaging. I slit though the tape and removed the leaflet. That's all!

I could give no stars I would. What an appalling company. I returned a water softener 2 months ago recorded delivery for best part of £1k refund and still no money has come back.
Apparently it’s waiting a a Managers approval ….. buying on line and returning items is a part of how we all shop today, why can this company not get it right.
My only option is to raise a dispute with the bank. Avoid at all costs…..

I spoke to Christina about a water softener and water filter + tap and ordered one of each and she also changed 25kg bags of tablets to salt blocks as it is easier for me to lift. The delivery was within 2/3 days very satisfied with service

Provided good advice - pros and cons of different systems clearly explained.

Avoid. If the blocks are smashed and still wrapped in bubble wrap, and the outer box is intact, can only mean the blocks were sent damaged. Won’t be using East Midlands Water again.

This is the second time I have used East Midlands Water company after my old softener packed up. Their prompt service and support are second to none, excellent as always. New Softener was delivered the next day after I ordered it. Up and running with luscious quality water! Well done again!

Refund is mission impossible. Please refund me immediately. It’s been over 3 weeks, I have chased up three times over an email and also tried to reach you on the phone.
If I do not get a refund notification from you by the end the week, I will have to raise this as a dispute with my bank.
We try and support small business, but business like yours make me regret it.

I spoke to James on the telephone and he confirmed the correct filter for my appliance. This was both a friendly and professional conversation. The correct filters were delivered a couple of days later. Well impressed !
