Veramente assurdo mi trovo a controllare il mio estratto conto e trovo un addebito di 44,95€ per qualcosa che non si capisce cosa sia dato che non ho avviato nessun abbonamento fate attenzione ragazzi perché qui è facile che vi fregano adesso dovrò perdere del tempo per riuscire ad avere un rimborso e vorrei capire anche cosa mi hanno fatto pagare senza il mio consenso

Horrendous subscription management is destroying excellent software...

This company is linked with the app CCleaner. I truly enjoy it because it cleans junk from my PC and phone, updates software and drivers, removes duplicates and large files, etc. It's a decent product. However, this subscription company working with CCleaner and all the other software associated with it is absolutely horrible. They can't seem to get ANY of their customer records straight. For myself, this included when I was billed, how much I was billed, when it would be renewed, and for which version of CCleaner. They gave me all kinds of great deals and incentives, MONTHS before my subscription was to be renewed. For example, I got a "deal" saying that I could renew my same subscription (CCleaner Pro with protection for more than 1 device, including my PC and phone with free customer service, a free VPN called Kamo, etc) for 2 years for only $10! Amazing deal 👍 So I signed up, only to receive an email a month or so later, saying that my subscription was going to expire. I eventually got a real person through a text (that option was hard to find- thanks a lot 😑). They had the audacity to say that was not the subscription they had on file for me! When all was said and done, I was told my subscription would be free and would not be due until 2027! About 2-3 weeks after that experience, I got an email saying that my subscription needed to be renewed because it was going to expire in 22 days 🤦‍♀️. I hate to lose a truly useful product like CCleaner, but if they can't get their 💩 together regarding their customers' financial records, they have rightly EARNED my distrust. What an awful company to have to manage subscriptions for a product that is so useful. It truly is a miserable shame. If CCleaner wants to stop losing thousands of customers like myself, they need totally SCRAP Cleverbridge regarding subscription management services. It's not doing them ANY good.

I filed a request for refund via the web page. This had to be reviewed by a human being. A short while later I got a very kind email explaining that the refund was processed successfully and that the credit would show in a few days.

Keine Zuständigkeit als Zahlungsabwickler!

Vor etwa einem Jahr habe ich im Rahmen eines Angebots eine Software erworben, wobei für mich nicht klar erkennbar war, dass es sich um ein Abonnement mit automatischer Verlängerung handelt.

Vor kurzem wurde ein mir nicht bekannter Betrag von meinem Konto abgebucht. Erst im Anschluss erhielt ich eine E-Mail mit Informationen zur Verlängerung des Abonnements. Daraufhin habe ich umgehend reagiert und das Abonnement vorsorglich gekündigt. Allerdings wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass lediglich zukünftige Verlängerungen gestoppt werden und das aktuell abgerechnete Abonnement bestehen bleibt.

Daraufhin habe ich die Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen geprüft und von meinem Widerrufsrecht gemäß Punkt 13 Gebrauch gemacht. Den entsprechenden Widerruf habe ich fristgerecht an die in den AGB angegebene E-Mail-Adresse (cs(at)cleverbridge.com) gesendet.

Ich erhielt jedoch lediglich eine automatische Antwort, in der mir mitgeteilt wurde, dass mein Anliegen nicht weitergeleitet wird und ich mich stattdessen direkt an den Support von CCleaner wenden soll.

Zusätzlich habe ich versucht, den Support zu kontaktieren, jedoch ohne Erfolg. Statt einer konkreten Klärung entsteht der Eindruck, dass die Verantwortung zwischen Zahlungsabwickler und Anbieter hin- und hergeschoben wird.

Aus meiner Sicht ist dieses Vorgehen nicht kundenfreundlich. Eine klare Zuständigkeit sowie eine lösungsorientierte Bearbeitung meines Anliegens wären hier dringend erforderlich.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Kundensupport sowie die Verwaltung von Kündigungen und Rückerstattungen grundsätzlich durch CCleaner bzw. Piriform direkt erfolgt. Wir sind in diesem Fall der Zahlungs- und Abwicklungspartner und verarbeiten die über unseren Webshop getätigten Bestellungen und Zahlungen. Daher werden Kunden in solchen Fällen direkt an den Hersteller-Support verwiesen.

Der Kündigungslink in der E-Mail dient ausschließlich dazu, das Abonnement bzw. die automatische Verlängerung für die Zukunft zu stoppen. Eine Rückerstattung muss separat beantragt werden, nachdem eine Abbuchung bereits erfolgt ist. Für CCleaner-Produkte gilt ein 30-tägiges Rückgaberecht. In unserem Support-Bereich steht hierfür auch ein Self-Service-Tool zur Verfügung – möglicherweise war diese Option nicht sofort ersichtlich.

Unauthorized renewal + false “activation” claim

I had a very concerning experience with SPAMfighter / Cleverbridge.

I purchased a 2-year subscription in 2022, which expired in 2024. I did not renew or authorize any further subscription.

However, in April 2026, I was charged again without my consent.

When I contacted support, they claimed that the product was "activated". This is simply not true. I never used the license key, never activated the product, and never agreed to any renewal.

More importantly, they refused to provide any evidence of:
- purchase authorization
- activation records (IP, device, account)

This raises serious concerns about their billing practices and transparency.

If a company can charge you without consent and then claim "activation" without proof, this is a major red flag.

Be very careful before purchasing or storing payment details with this company.

Cleverbridge has suggested that this review may be intended for another business.

However, Cleverbridge is the merchant of record and the entity that processed the payment and charged my PayPal account. Therefore, the billing issue is directly related to Cleverbridge and falls under their responsibility.

In addition, no verifiable evidence has been provided to support the claim of:
- purchase authorization
- product activation (IP, device, or account)

Without such evidence, the charge cannot be reasonably justified.

This review is based on a billing and authorization issue, not product functionality, and is therefore correctly directed at Cleverbridge.

The refund does not address the underlying concerns regarding billing transparency and authorization.

Cleverbridge is the merchant of record and the entity that processed and charged my PayPal account. Therefore, the billing issue is directly related to Cleverbridge, regardless of product-related communication with SPAMfighter.

2. Contradictory statements regarding “activation”
Previous communications clearly stated that the product had been “installed” and “activated”.
However, you now state that you do not have visibility into activation status.
These statements are inconsistent and raise serious concerns.

3. Lack of verifiable evidence
No evidence has been provided for:
- explicit authorization of the 2026 renewal
- actual product activation (IP, device, or account)

4. Irregular renewal pattern
The original subscription (2022–2024) expired without issue.
If this was a continuous auto-renewal agreement, why was there no renewal in 2024, but a renewal occurred in 2026?

5. Prior contact attempts
We contacted SPAMfighter multiple times on April 6, 2026 (05:03, 17:34, 20:59, 21:03).
The responses received were not related to our request and instead claimed that the product was already installed and activated.

While the refund is acknowledged, it does not resolve the underlying concerns regarding billing authorization, transparency, and accountability.

This review reflects those concerns.

In response to your comment regarding “no verifiable evidence has been provided to support the claim of purchase authorization / product activation”: the subscription was started in 2022 and has been renewed every two years since. At the time of the first purchase, the PayPal billing agreement was accepted, and this has also applied to each renewal since. Your order was refunded on April 7 , 2026.

As communicated during each renewal, including the most recent one in 2024, the following information has been sent to you by email with your invoice: this is a subscription product which automatically renews after the initial subscription period. The next payment of $49.00 is due on 03/04/2026. You can cancel your subscription at any time (there was a link in the same email to cancel the automatic renewal). This information has always been provided to you by email together with your invoice.

Please note that for data privacy reasons, we cannot share any documents or detailed account information here on Trustpilot. However, we are more than happy to provide this information directly via email if you would like us to do so.

Cleverbridge does Parallels dirty work…

Cleverbridge does Parallels dirty work by billing for Parallels which has highly deceptive auto-billing practices with absolutely no refunds after the subscription renews, even on the day of the subscription renewal. Parallels makes you think you have cancelled a subscription when you click "Cancel Subscription" but actually forces you to decline a discounted renewal subscription offer. If you don't decline the offer your subscription remains active and auto-renews on the renewal date. This happened to me and thousands of other Parallels customers (Checkout Parallels TrustPilot Reviews). Parallels stays in business because a large percentage of sales are to people that thought they cancelled. Cleverbridge by letting Parallels continue this scam is also culpable. Plain and simple I was ripped off $119.99 by Cleverbridge billing through Parallels. Cleverbridge Reference #533396653
