Hi Lynne,

Thank you for sharing this feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you've been debited for a Checkmyfile subscription you weren't expecting. We always want Checkmyfile users to feel fully informed and in control of their subscription.

We try to make it as clear as possible throughout the registration process that we are a paid subscription service. For clarity, we mention this on the registration page, when you enter your card details, in our terms of use, and in our Welcome email.

We also include the date your first subscription payment is due to be debited in our Welcome email, and allow all newcomers to cancel at any time during the 7-day free trial if they decide a Checkmyfile subscription isn't right for them.

While we're confident our subscription is clearly communicated to new users, we appreciate you sharing that this has not been your experience, and we would really like to support you wherever possible.

If you haven't already reached out to our team about this, or if you are unhappy with a response you've received from us, please reach out or get back in touch. We’d be happy to look into this for you.

Many thanks,

Amy

Hi Tolly,

Thank you for sharing this feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you weren't aware that Checkmyfile is a paid subscription. We always want to ensure customers are aware of this when they sign up with us.

We do clearly mention that we are a paid subscription at the point where you enter your card details, as well as on many other pages throughout the registration process.

We include the date your first subscription payment is due in the Welcome email we send you, and ensure that all new users can cancel their subscription at any time within the first 7 days, which are free, if they decide they no longer want to proceed with their subscription.

That said, we are always looking for ways to improve our service and become more user-friendly, and we really want to resolve any issues you've experienced.

With that in mind, if there's anything you feel we could've done to make the subscription clearer during registration, or if you have feedback about the service itself, please do reach out to our team directly. You can do so through your online account in the Help Centre, or by using the contact details on our website.

Thanks again for sharing,

Amy
