Had an extremely bad experience. Bought 2 round-trip tickets to Barcelona through Cheaptickets. I booked tickets that included hand luggage and a personal item so I wouldn't need to check in any baggage.

I thought everything was sorted until 22 hours before the flight when online check-in opened, and I found out that the hand luggage, which I had paid for with my ticket, was not included at all!

It was half past midnight, so I immediately contacted them the next morning. First, I tried the online chat, but I got stuck with the chatbot. Then I attempted to contact them via WhatsApp in Dutch, but the conversation was extremely unhelpful; the only thing the representative kept saying was that it was not Cheaptickets' fault and that the airline was responsible for baggage. (That's all well and good, but Cheaptickets happily sold me tickets with hand luggage! That's what they advertised. After all, I'm buying a plane ticket from Cheaptickets, not from Vueling). The conversation abruptly ended because the Cheaptickets colleague thought it was perfectly fine to disappear in the middle of our conversation and not say anything more.

Third attempt: calling them. I could only speak in English, which was not a problem as I speak English well. A friendly man assured me, not once, not twice, but more than three times that I not only had a personal item but also a hand luggage suitcase per ticket! Great! I asked him to tell me where he found this information so I could verify it because my boarding pass clearly stated that I only had a personal item, no hand luggage. He repeatedly insisted that I definitely had hand luggage and that if I had to pay extra at the airport, I could get this additional payment refunded by sending the receipt to Cheaptickets. He also said he would send me an email with a screenshot showing that I was entitled to hand luggage and the confirmation from Cheaptickets that I had this right.
Email in the inbox, ready for vacation, let the party begin.

Mistake. Because once I arrived at the gate, I had to pay €60 euros for 1 hand luggage suitcase, and it had to be checked in as well, causing significant delays after landing as we had to wait for our luggage.

I immediately forwarded the receipt and the story to Cheaptickets, and they initially sent me an email saying, "We apologize for this experience; we will look into it." Then I heard nothing for several days, and when I asked for an update, I received the familiar response, "There's nothing we can do about it; it's the airline's responsibility."

So now I'm in Barcelona, Cheaptickets sold me a product different from what was advertised, treated me incorrectly and extremely rudely, and I have to pay an extra €60 per flight to bring my luggage with me. On the return journey, it might be even more money! Completely unacceptable.

The way they can deceive people so blatantly and handle it without any shame is truly bizarre and unacceptable. I will never buy a ticket from Cheaptickets again! You never know what could go wrong, and when something does go wrong, you get conflicting answers and end up in a terrible situation! Unbelievable!

The service was absolutely terrible. They lied about the seat assignments. I had to continue to call about my tickets. I had to pay additional cost for seat assignments after the representative told me it was included in the price. Do not use them. I. Would give them a zero if it was possible.

Travelocity and CheapTickets are owned…

Travelocity and CheapTickets are owned by same company. This time booking, I had to change my plan, so I used to virtual assistant to cancel my reservation at a hotel. The virtual assistant was absolutely horrible. Very hard to get anywhere with it and once I did I canceled, and apparently the cancellation notice didn't go through to the direct party of Travelocity. The hotel received notification and when I talk to them they had canceled my reservation. Then I received an email from Travelocity asking me about my trip two days into what should have been my stay there at that hotel. Upon receiving this email, I went online through the virtual agent to see where my refund was and after getting nowhere there I spoke with two separate agents who left me on hold for over an hour trying to reach the hotel they said. I called the hotel. The hotel answered directly and gave me my confirmation of cancellation number. And they said that the company does this all the time!
Unbelievable!
Now the refunding a partial amount of my initial expense. But I still lose out. I imagine I'll be going to the better Business bureau to complain about this company.
DO NOT USE THIS TRAVELOCITY OR CHEAP TICKETS! THEY ARE A RIP OFF IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL. I'm so disappointed in this company. I live on social security and they thrive on my pension.

Dat is inderdaad erg vervelend, mijn excuses voor het ongemak.

Echter is het zo dat als je via KLARNA hebt betaald, zij de ticket netjes hebt betaald en van hun dan ook de restitutie krijgt als we de boeking hebben geannuleerd. Omdat zij wel de boeking al hebben betaald vragen ze dus inderdaad wel het geld nu aan jou. Zodra dit tussen KLARNA en ons is opgelost, krijg je een restitutie dus van KLARNA

Je geduld en medewerking wordt zeer op prijs gesteld.
Ik hoop je zo voldoende te hebben geïnformeerd

Grappig Farida want jij was degene die heeft gezegd dat ik niks hoef te betalen, nadat je de boeking hebt geannuleerd. Dit hoefde niet omdat jullie wel vaker dubbelboekingen krijgen en het dan heel helder is dat dat niet de bedoeling is. Ik heb zowel KLM als Klarna gevraagd hoe dit zit en beiden geven aan dat Cheaptickets bepaald of ik wel of niet iets moet betalen na de annulering en niet, zoals je nu weer zegt, Klarna. Of zoals eerder door collega’s van jou, KLM of zelfs dat mijn bank iets moet doen. Ik vind het nog steeds schandalig dat jullie als organisatie blijkbaar geen idee hebben wat jullie juiste informatie is, iedere keer krijg ik weer een ander antwoord, zolang jullie maar niets hoeven te betalen. Dus nog steeds, nooit meer via Cheaptickets boeken

In 40 years of travel never experienced anything so bad: rip-off!!! DON'T BE FOOLED! CheapTicket is only after your money!

I requested a change to our booking CDE-11680920 regarding our return flight for two passengers (the third to keep the reserved return flight). I received several standard emails, which asked me to deal with the site's chatbot (robot) and to which I replied with the details of the cancellation.
I did not receive any answers to my specific questions about the difficulties I encountered during the rebooking process on the website. The biggest problem was that the whole booking would be cancelled (instead of a change of return flight for some of the passengers only), and the site's system would charge us a much higher price than for a new booking - even if we were willing to pay a fee, it was about €1,500 - without claiming the deduction for the first booking.

In the meantime, after 2 weeks of daily attempts, I lost hope of successfully resolving our situation. No answer to our questions, no change of booking and no contact, even though we were promised a return within 3 courses. No valid customer service phone number, those discovered after long research are fake.
I am surprised by the rating, which attested to the competence of this company on sites like Trutpilot and others consulted beforehand. We have strong doubts about the validity and authenticity of these reviews, which have resulted in an average rating of 3.8 - 4.2 /5.
Perhaps this is the reason why Travix is hiring like crazy from Bangladesh... They should better support us with a real customer phone!

This is the second time we have booked with CheapTicket and also the second time we have faced their incompetence and arrogance. Our first experience (2.5.2019) traumatized us. CheapTickets, who cancelled our return flight without notifying us (neither email, nor phone, NOTHING!), simply let us down. We (1 couple and 2 small children) had to stay in the transit zone of the Moscow airport for 3 days. Since we were not granted a visa, we were treated like good-for-nothing and imprisoned there. Without any support from CT, we had to look for a return solution ourselves. It was indescribable!
In addition to delays in important exams and appointments, we have received no explanation, no apology, no compensation from CT , even afterwards!!!

I strongly advise against CheapTickets, which does not keep its promises and treats customers as cash cows. DON'T BE FOOLED!
You can't rely on CheapTicket, which will let you down at the slightest problem!

Horrible

Horrible. Will never book flights with them again. The insurance protection is a major scam as well. Nothing is refundable and they have dates that they do not inform you about when it comes to canceling a booking and the insurance. Took 15 minutes for a live agent to get on the phone and she didn't cancel my flight. Just told me to file a claim knowing I couldn't. Major scam

Avoid cheaptickets.com -- they lost my car booking and left me hanging

I booked a car with SIXT via cheaptickets.com at Paris Charles DeGaulle Airport. I was coming for a funeral of a family member. When I arrived, SIXT had no record of my booking, even though cheaptickets.com had provided me with a SIXT reservation number. After 2 hours arguing with both SIXT and cheaptickets, each blaming the other, I had no choice but to rebook the car at ALMOST THREE TIMES THE PROMISED PRICE so I could get to the funeral. Now I have called both SIXT and cheaptickets.com about a refund of the extra charges. Each blames the other. "Martin G" of SIXT responded to my earlier posting and invited me to send the paperwork to SIXT to sort out the problem, which I appreciated. This morning, after two weeks, SIXT emailed me to say they have no record of my booking (even though I have a SIXT booking number) and they refer me back to cheaptickets.com. And, of course, cheaptickets.com says they gave me a SIXT reservation number, and so send me back to SIXT. So BOTH companies say "not my problem" and do nothing. And I have to pay the bill. So don't be fooled by "Martin G's" comments on all these negative SIXT reviews -- it's just a load of nonsense designed to make unwary viewers think SIXT cares. THEY DON'T!!

Flug wurde annuliert.
Einfach eine Bodenlose Frechheit..niemand meldet sich .. ChatBot betohnung liegt auf Bot .. 4-5-6Mails geschrieben keine Rückmeldung . Das solche Unternehmen überhaupt über Skyscanner empfohlen / angeboten werden .. finde ich darf denifitiv nicht sein. Hoffe das ich mich irre und sich das in den naechsten Tagen klaert was ich wie es bis jetzt gelaufen ist zu 99% nicht glaube . Definitiv nicht weiter zu empfehlen .. lass die Finger von .. Es gibt alternativen .

Vlucht annulering zonder compensatie

De airliner heeft ed vlucht geannuleerd. Helaas zijn wij daar nimmer van op de hoogte gesteld.
Met als gevolg dat we pas 2 dagen later vanuit Muscat konden vertrekken. De reis duurde al met al over de 32 uur. We waren gesloopt.
Bij terugkomst de gemaakte kosten ingediend..
Je wordt aan het lijntje gehouden, je mails en vragen worden niet goed gelezen en beantwoord.. ik ben al bijna een jaar bezig om ruim 1800,- terug te krijgen.

Premium Plus Packet für nichts

iCH HABE EIN FLUG GEBUCHT, hin und zurück.
Da es unsicher war ob der Rückflug wargenommen werden kann,habe ich das Premium Plus Packet gebucht.Damit wollte ich mir die Rückerstattung sichern falls ich den Flug Stornieren muss.
Jetzt ist es soweit,ich möchte stornieren ,aber es wird mir in der Chatt gesagt,das mein Flug nicht Erstattungsfähig ist.Für was habe ich das Premium PacketPlus extra dazugebucht und bezahlt?????
DAn haben sie mir gesagtich soll mich an die Fluggesellschaft wenden um mir eventuell für den Rückflug eine Gutschrift uaszustellen.Dieses geht aber auch nicht weil das GEld ja Cheapticket kassiert hat. Als ich es dann mit einer netten Mitarbeiterin der Fluggesellschaft telefoniert habe war alles nochmehr sospekt. Sie sah nur das ich economy gebucht hatte.Sie konnte aber auch sehen das bei den drei Passaggieren ein Änderung erzeugt wurde,die ich nicht beantragt habe. Sie konnte auch nicht sehen das das Premium Packet an den Flügen gebunden war.Dazu kam noch das plötzlich beim Rückflug keine Koffern mitgebucht waren. Ende vom Lied ist das der Fluggesellschaft schon bekannt ist das dies nicht mit rechten Dingen geht.Ich sollte mich wohl an ein Anwalt wenden

Had the worst experience possible while renting a car via Cheaptickets.com

Had the worst experience possible at the Hertz desk in the Austin airport.

Had made a car rental reservation via a 3rd party website (CheapTickets.com) - CheapTickets itinerary 72461931614056 for a Tesla Model 3 (Hertz CONFIRMATION K36020442B2). For this reservation I had paid in advance 168.45$ of the total $221.93 due for a 3 days period.

When I arrived at the Hertz desk in the Austin airport, I gave them all the documents (confirmation #, driver's license, passport, credit card). I was told by the lady at the counter that because I am renting a Tesla this would be considered as a special car reservation and therefore her manager came and told me they would need to make a check on my credit card + drivers license. He went back in his office with my documents and came back after 10-15 minutes telling me that after checking, my driver's license was found to be "fraudulent" by Hertz's internal compliance team. When asking what does "fraudulent" mean for them, he said that unfortunately he cannot tell me as this is the resolution he received from an internal team; he also told me that he cannot give me any other car because of this resolution and that I will be able to get a full refund. In conclusion I lost more than one hour to go through this entire process waiting at their desk.
I was really surprised by what he said specially because I had used Hertz for renting a car back in June in New York city using the same credit card + drivers license and did not encounter any issues.
I then moved to the Avis rental counter which is next to Hertz's one and was able to rent the same car (Tesla Model 3) using the exact same documents (passport, credit card, drivers license) in less than half an hour.
The biggest surprise and disappointment however came now when trying to get a refund from the 3rd party website (Cheaptickets.com) for my Hertz reservation. Their message was that Hertz rejected my refund request because I did not provide a valid driver's license. So in conclusion, I lost 168.45$ without ever benefiting from the rental car service. I am never renting from them ever again and would recommend a high level of caution when dealing with them! I wish I only would have read all the reviews found here beforehand.

Bijzonder slecht,CheapTickets neemt geen enkele verantwoordelijkheid voor je boeking, terwijl ze wel geld opstrijken van jou en de vliegtuigmaatschappij. Vertragingen kunnen ze niets aan doen, maar met overbooked vluchten wordt je weggestopt op volgende vluchten zodat je transfers met volgende vlucht mist en nieuwe ticket moet kopen.

Feeling scammed

We booked a flight for my son to be here for christmas a month in advance, go to the airport only to be told, Cheapflights canceled it and rescheduled for a later date. Cheapflights never updated us. HORRIBLE experience. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Nice way to disappoint a family for Christmas.

Shocking and disgusting

I have used cheaptickets for over a decade...I had credits because of COVID but apparently you need a miracle to use your own money already spent....I am so upset....I have lost over $500...I also bought the insurance which when flights were cancelled because of COVID were useless....I will NEVER use anything but the airline to book again...And now I am being told in order to use my OWN MONEY...due to FLIGHTS I DID NOT CANCEL MYSELF!!! I have to travel from the exact starting place to the ending place....I am so disgusted and angry.....and feel stupid that I ever trusted these companies.....come on....customer service??? Or no??? Guess not.

Threatened with legal action after they were unable to provide a payment link for attempted ticket purchase.

I tried booking a flight with them in April 2022. They sent me an e-ticket but I never received a payment link, which I communicated to them. They assured me that it was fine. I tried numerous times to explain that I haven't paid for it and wasn't about to try and get on a flight that I haven't paid for.

Fast-forward 6 months... It's October 2022 and I start receiving emails with payment links for a flight in April 2022 (which I canceled and never boarded). They have now started threatening me with legal action if I don't make the payments.

This company is a joke and should not be allowed to conduct business.
