Horrible customer service from the online store. FedEx lost my order and they're doing nothing about it. I just have to wait?!! Just insane. Also, the most disinterested phone rep. I've ever spoken to. Please avoid ordering form their online store. Better yet buy form a different brand altogether. They don't deserve our money.

Though more expensive in relation to other well-known luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton (Bottega Veneta can probably be considered to be in the ranks of Hermes/Chanel/Dior/Loewe in regard to ‘known’ luxury brands) they have beautifully crafted items which are timeless and relatively ‘incognito’ sans conspicuous logos if you were not already aware of their famous trademark intrecciato weave ;)

The term ‘quiet luxury’ has been a buzzword thrown about for the past year or so but Bottega Veneta was already ahead of the game and doing it well before every other luxury brand and social influencer declared that ‘quiet luxury’ is ‘in’.

The lambskin can be delicate but it gets better with use. I have several lambskin bottega veneta hobos from the Thomas Meier era and they can hold their own with the current/recent offerings from other creative directors Daniel Lee and Matthieu Blazy. I also own shoes and bags from all 3 creative directors and I love them all.

The sales assistants at Bottega Veneta shops always been attentive and kind even if I am only browsing. And if I am purchasing directly from their store in-person at San Francisco or Santa Clara, they always checked in by text to see how I like my purchase. So I will continue to spend my hard earned money at Bottega Veneta for now. It’s one of my guilty pleasures.

Purchased earrings for my wife from the Bottega Venata website directly for Christmas at the end of November. The box came tied up with fancy yarn/ribbon and looked great. She opened it Christmas morning only to find that one of the earring posts was bent and covered in a greasy substance. I contacted the company directly a few days later, and it took them over 3 weeks to get back to me. They told me they wouldn't accept an exchange because it was past the return date policy. They offered me a chance to get them repaired (at my cost) which I find offensive since I just paid over $800 for broken earrings. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! My wife said she will never get anything from that brand again either after the way they treated us.

Santa left me a nice gift under the tree this year. A Intrecciato Bi-Fold wallet Dark Green/Travertine color. This is a top quality piece that I know will last for years to come. Very happy!

You know Santa, they do make a matching women’s Zip-Around for my wife? She’s been good too.

I sent them an emails, I called multiple times. Nobody could help me they can only advise to call another store )))) no call backs, none gives any answers regarding my questions. The team unprofessional!!!!!!! too slow and have 0 understanding of their job.

The styles that have come out in recent years don’t match anything like the quality and usability of the originals like the intricato hobo bag the original style and size was fantastic this should be a huge comeback in all the original colours!! That bag was both beautiful and practical and the price point was amazing! If you bring this bag back you will have new and old customers lining up for it!! The Teen Jodie is nice, however functionally it doesn’t sit on your shoulder due to size of knot and width of the handle! So please bring back the original hobo bag this was the true original and should never have been discontinued this is what Bottega Veneta was about!! It should be your holy grail bag, a staple, like the Chanel Classic flap and like the lady dior!! No matter what designer comes this bag should remain a staple and a timeless classic! This bag is why I started shopping with Bottega and at one point I had 3!!! Please bring it back in the medium and large sizes they will be a sellout!!!! I cannot find anything as beautiful and practical!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Purchased the medium Bauletto in chestnut on 5. July 23 with matching wallet (cassette zip around light blue). Have carried this bag a total of 5 times. The shoulder strap is already broken at the metal hook fastener.
I took the bag into the purchase location and was quasi rudely informed that to switch the strap out would take A YEAR???!!!
And that if I "sent it in for repair" it would go faster?! As in like 2 MONTHS WAIT?!?!
I am done with designer bags. This is my third BV handbag with matching wallet in over 2 decades and it is by far the worst quality, and was the most expensive.
From now it its going to be a New Yorker tote bag for me, I am so so disappointed and annoyed.
A special shout-out to the horrible horrible client service at BV boutique Zürich Switzerland. There is only one person at this boutique who is knowledgable and helpful, and she was unfortunately not in-store when I asked about repairs.

I have since received a full refund to their credit even though it did take multiple calls and emails to receive this.

I bought a bag from Bottega Veneta only 6 months ago this item was not used daily but just for special occasions and the stitching has started to come undone, this bag was about $5000 aud you would expect a refund or a new bag, well No! they started by saying they might charge for repairs?? But then said they would send it to China and they would look at it and possibly fix it, this process would take between 3-4 months, the staff were not helpful and not trained to deal with anything other than selling, terrible experience I would tell anyone who intends to buy from them not to throw their money away on that brand!
Any other decent brand would insist on replacing the bag on the spot! Or offering to give me my money back!! To make matters worse This bag was a Birthday present from my husband! He had given me 5000 and i made the stupid mistake to go to Bottega Veneta i should have gone to LV who I believe treat their customers with respect not like i was, what a terrible experience and what horrible customer service, possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had. I found out that Gucci are also owned by the same company so I would not buy from them again either.

I bought a Euro 420 rubber sandals in Milan. After I used them 2 times they peeled. I sent a complaint to the shop and they asked to send a picture. After two weeks I’m still waiting for a reply. When you charge this prices for rubber sandals it’s expected that the quality should be decent and the service responsive otherwise it’s just a branded rip off

Purchased the turn pouch in May from Bottega online. Bag arrived faulty with glue and leather coming apart. The packaging it arrived in did not scream luxury either.
They organised pickup and service on that side was pretty good initially for an exchange. Contacted me after pickup to let me know that the remaining stock they had was also faulty so they will proceed with refund. Since then, radio silence 3 business days. I called up today to find out what returns process was since it’s my first online purchase with them & their team didn’t reply back on what the process was (they guarantee a 24 hour reply usually). The customer rep treated me like I was an impatient customer & should be aware that it will be 7-14 business days. Sorry but I’ve purchased from luxury online brands & they are always informative & do not punish customers with long wait times when the product they supply is faulty. Has put me off Bottega but if you are after their product, buy instore only since that experience was positive hence 3 stars.

Bought an iPhone cover to an iPhone 14 Pro which not fit the phone as one expect. It’s too big, don't fit tight around the phone and once I dropped it accidentally and the case fall off. So it’s not stuck on the phone either.
I made a formal complaint after been trying to use the case for about two months and the “quality Team” argue that I have somehow worn it out. I mean, if that would be the case, should that even be possible for an iPhone case less than 3 months old and a retail price of €250 to be worn out???
How can a brands own “quality team” not know their own quality and admit that it’s poor and allow returns? And the next question is of course why do they even have a quality team abroad that approve all complaints, it is easy seen that the product is bad, everyone can see it but this “quality team”; they must be blind and lack all sense of common sense. This is really unacceptable and need to be taken care of asap!!

I’m here course I’m so frustrated and disappointed with the Bottega Veneta bag I bought from RUELALA website. Just half year usage, the bag surface has a lot of bubbles and deficiencies! I asked the manufacturer, they are not responsible! Very bad quality and service! Not worth the cost of a luxury bag.

Purchased two of the same handbag because the quality of the previous bag was poor. The second bags received, also in poor condition and were returned in the same box. Order was refunded today for one bag only and they still owe $4k for the other. I called them and they are saying there is no manager to speak with, all managers are in meetings. How is this possible for an enormous brand to have terrible service? Really disappointed and feel like I’m being stolen from. I will no longer be shopping with Bottega which is dishonest and has crap service. The company needs to revisit their practices asap. How returns and escalations are handled. I will be filing a police report with the warehouse where product was processed for return and calling my credit card company if not resolved within 24 hours.

Servizio clienti scortese e sgarbato. Non acquisterò più sul loro sito: pronti ad incassare soldi ma per restituirli dopo i resi risulta essere molto complicato. Copia documenti, copia della banca; in più bisogna imbattersi in un servizio clienti maleducato ed incapace di risolvere le problematiche dei clienti. Dopo l'ennesima mail di richiesta rimborso decido di chiamare al servizio clienti, la signora che mi risponde dopo aver ascoltato la mia richiesta di procedere per favore al pagamento del rimborso senza documenti della banca per evitare di farmi perdere tempo nella richiesta all'istituto bancario, mi dice testuali parole: "chiama alla banca e fattelo dare" (da precisare che io non mi ero permessa di darle del tu) . Dopo questa affermazione sono rimasta sconvolta e le ho chiesto il nome e cognome per capire con chi stessi parlando, credendo fosse lecito, e dopo avermi comunicato solo il nome mi dice: "il cognome non te lo do, non sei tenuta a saperlo!".
Io cara azienda sono sconvolta! Faccio questa recensione perchè anche io ho un'azienda e credo che le persone non meritevoli non possano lavorare in contesti di un certo tipo e chi le paga deve saperlo. Non so se leggerete questo messaggio, mi auguro di si! Spero che la mia esperienza sia utile per evitare spiacevoli inconvenienti come questo che ledono moltissimo l'immagine del brand. Io comunque non acquisterò più.
