Very particular group of scammers here who keep your security deposit for as long as they can. Meaning you need to chase it to get your refund. Ours was returned well over 35 days post stay. Also, their policy to refund the security deposit, post stay, of 14-days is highway robbery.

Lovely apartment, yet not worth the challenge of chasing the 600 Euro security deposit.

Too close to 11th District too making it feel a little unsafe.

Ants in kitchen, beds too firm, internet only worked in kitchen and dining areas.
Positives: great kitchen facilities, good to have 2 bathrooms (you guessed it, no products, BYO), clean enough.

This company is complete scam artists. They message you 1 week before check in and demand a 400 Euro damage deposit, which they actually charge on your Credit Card. I have been waiting over 5 weeks to get the money back and they keep saying it has been returned (after a dozen emails and VRBO messages), it has NOT! Complete criminals, I do not know how VRBO keeps them as a partner. I now have to submit a Fraud Dispute case with my Credit Card company.
DO NOT DEAL with these Crooks!!!!!

If it has been over 3 weeks and we have not received our bond refund of €800—despite the other party claiming it was processed, without any proof.

Do not book with this company. I am still waiting for refund of 600 euro deposit since checking out a month ago and they have not responded to any of my messages. Do not use this company.

This company, BnBNova, is a scam. I'm warning everyone. We booked an apartment in Paris and still haven't received our deposit back (600 €). The apartment reeked of feces, there was mold on the walls, and the air conditioning didn't work. Everything was different from the photos. And we still haven't received our security deposit back.

This is a follow up to the review I wrote 2 days ago. They are telling me that their policy allows them to not only keep security deposits 30 days, but also the rental fee. Most companies will refund such amounts in 5-7 business days. This morning, when I was told their policy for any refunds was 30 days, I asked to see a copy of said policy. The answer was that, unfortunately, they have no written policy to provide. What? If you don't have a written policy, accessible to guests, how is it a policy? It is very likely an unenforceable 'policy'. Very shady.

Still waiting for my deposit one month after the end of the renting. They use the swikly company for the deposit. I've asked for my money back.
But if you don't go and ask, they'll keep your money.
Yes they're cheating with French laws and they have to be reported to the fraud service.

Still haven’t received the 600€ damage deposit, and they won’t respond to my mails. Suddently completely silence.

DO NOT BOOK – Dangerous, Illegal Apartment & No Refund Even After Admitting It Was Uninhabitable

BNB Nova knowingly rented me an apartment that was dangerous, unfit for living, and in clear violation of French law. The property had serious health and safety risks: scaffolding directly outside the bedroom window with no security, no ventilation during a heatwave 43c INSIDE EXCEPT ONE SMALL FAN, and multiple habitability breaches. BREAKING 6 fRENCH LAWS.

I immediately raised my concerns. Shockingly, BNB Nova admitted in writing that the apartment did not meet health or safety standards – yet they still refused a refund, hiding behind their so-called “policy.” Let me be clear: company policies do not override French law, which requires all rentals to meet minimum standards of decency and safety (Article 6, Law of 6 July 1989).

Their response? If I left the dangerous apartment, I’d forfeit my money. I had to pay for another place out of pocket. Imagine if I couldn't afford to—forced to choose between safety and shelter.

This company is reckless, unethical, and operating outside the law. I’ve reported them to Booking.com, the EU ODR platform, the French authorities, and my bank. Others should do the same.

BNB Nova should not be allowed to rent properties. Stay far away.

Abbiamo prenotato tramite Booking un appartamento a Parigi, gestito da BnBNOVA. Ci è stata richiesta una cauzione di €400 che abbiamo pagato e che però ad oltre una settimana dal rientro non ci è stata ancora rimborsata. Non rispondono ai messaggi, così come Booking che se ne lava le mani. Dalla altre recensioni che vedo è ovvio che è una prassi. Come minimo finanziano la loro attività con le cauzioni dei clienti, c'è da capire se si tratta di furto! Devo incaricare un legale per rientrare dei miei soldi? Aggiornerò la situazione se la struttura dovesse farsi sentire.
4/07 finalmente il 4 luglio hanno autorizzato il bonifico di restituzione della cauzione, dopo mille messaggi, recensioni negative. Si sono trattenuti i nostri soldi per 10 giorni. Mi dispiace solo constatare che Booking è stato assolutamente assente in tutta questa faccenda.

Ich kann nur dringend davon abraten, bei diesem Anbieter zu buchen.
Trotz vollständiger Zahlung im Voraus haben wir nie eine Adresse und keine konkreten Details zur Unterkunft erhalten.

Kurz vor der geplanten Anreise wurde ich noch einmal aufgefordert, eine Kaution von 800 € zu überweisen und eine Kopie meines Ausweises an eine anonyme Webseite ohne vollständiges Impressum oder klare Identität zu senden.
Ohne diese zusätzlichen Schritte wurden mir alle weiteren Informationen verweigert.

Zwar konnte man dem Anbieter schreiben, aber er bot keinerlei Lösung an und blieb bei seiner Forderung: Ohne weitere Kaution-Zahlung – keine Adresse.

Da ich – wie viele andere laut Online-Bewertungen – befürchten musste, dass die Kaution nie zurückgezahlt wird, konnte ich das Risiko nicht eingehen.
Wir standen mit unserem Gepäck bereits in Paris und mussten kurzfristig eine neue Unterkunft organisieren.
Die bereits gezahlte Summe haben wir vollständig verloren.

Das Verhalten ist aus meiner Sicht hochgradig unseriös.
Keine Transparenz, keine Sicherheit – aber das Geld wird ohne Gegenleistung einbehalten.

Fazit: Wer hier bucht, riskiert, viel Geld zu verlieren und ohne Unterkunft dazustehen.

I was given instructions on key pickup 24 hours before my reservation began. I went to the location with my luggage and small daughter, tired from overnight travel. The designated computerized key box was non-functioning: the screen was dark and the box was unresponsive to multiple attempts by the location owner to turn it on.

I spent nearly three hours communicating with the key box technicians by phone and text. It was not possible to reach the host for my booking, and there was zero backup plan to assist me in retrieving my keys. I thought I would have to locate a new place to stay in the middle of high season in Paris.

Finally, at my insistence, a technician arrived to remove the box from the wall and extract my keys from the back. At first, he rudely refused to give me the keys, a problem that required further texts and phone calls with the company.

Overall, the experience was extremely stressful and caused my daughter and I to miss our entire afternoon plans for our short stay in Paris, tickets for which we had paid money.

On our day of departure, again with all my luggage and daughter along, I arrived at the key box location to find that the key box was STILL not functioning; no one had contacted me by phone, text, or email to advise me of this or to instruct me on how to leave the keys.

There were further phone calls and emails and texts with BnBnova, and I was told that I had to walk all the way back to the apartment, climb the stairs again, and leave the key inside. I left my daughter alone in a café and raced to do this, since we had a train to catch.

When I wrote to request a discount or refund of some sort to compensate me for the incredible stress and labor of the non-functioning key retrieval and drop-off process, I was told that it was not possible.

I am shocked that a company would treat its paying customers like this, and that there was no clear backup plan in place when the key box broke.

Make reservations through BnBnova at your own risk!

Scam company, booked through AirBnB platform, took 600 Euro deposit which has still not been received 17 days later

They booked us an AirBnB over a dance club. It was unlivable when the club was open.

Scrivo questa recensione per mettere in guardia altri viaggiatori. La mia esperienza è stata estremamente negativa e, a mio parere, si è trattato di una vera e propria truffa. Mi hanno ingannato riguardo alla possibilità di ricevere una fattura a mio nome per una sola persona, cosa che mi ha causato seri problemi.
L’appartamento a Parigi era deludente: prezzo altissimo per uno spazio mal tenuto. Il lavandino era intasato, la doccia quasi inutilizzabile e il letto nel soppalco era così basso che per salirci bisognava quasi strisciare — impossibile anche solo stare seduti senza sbattere la testa.
Inoltre, mi è stata richiesta una cauzione di 600 euro molto tempo prima del soggiorno, con la promessa di restituzione. Ho dovuto coinvolgere il servizio clienti di Booking per riaverla e, ad oggi, non ho ancora ricevuto nulla.
Sconsiglio vivamente questa struttura: poca trasparenza, condizioni pessime e gestione inaffidabile.

DO NOT BOOK with this company, they are scammers who also go by the name BnBNovaStay. They will ask you for a damage deposit through Swikly, which you will not be refunded. If you Google this company, you will see numerous reports of this happening to travellers who booked with them through Booking.com and AirBnN.

Scam company. Place we booked with them was a shambles, dirty, mouldy a shower that flooded. Responses we got were a joke to say the least.

It’s a scam!!! Don’t book anything with them!!

Avoid this shabby company who simply change their name when the negative reviews pile up (formerly 'Cityapartmentstay' see reviews). May actually be just one bloke called 'Paul' who is repeatedly mentioned. Five messages over 3 weeks asking a check in question went unanswered until Booking.com got involved. Rented a flat in Paris for £830 with a 800 euro security deposit. Absolutely filthy, toilet didn't flush and the door didn't lock. Late arrival meant we had to stay one night but we moved to a hotel the following day having had no response from them and because the problems were too great to be remedied. They responded by email, after I'd told them we had left, asking if someone could come to look at the toilet but didn't mention all the other issues. They have one mobile phone number with an answer machine and an email address but no actual company address listed anywhere. Refused refund and they marked the booking as cancelled so I was unable to leave a review. Unbelievably they rented out the same place 2 weeks later in the same filthy state (fixed the toilet, I assume) as the guest left a review on Booking.com with photos similar to mine. If you have had a similar negative experience, contact your credit card company. My security deposit was refunded at Booking.com's insistence on the 14th day after my official check out date so they held onto that money for a month. Reported to Trading Standards via Citizens Advice.
