The most appalling customer service - never buy anything from Bing Lee…
I bought an old expensive laptop from Bing Lee, Burwood, NSW. I also purchased the extended warranty, so altogether I had 3 years of warranty. The laptop kept breaking down every few months and I kept bringing it back to their store for repairs- replacements or refunds were outright refused bluntly by the store “manager” Jonathan. The most appalling customer service treatment that I have ever had the horror to experience in Australia! And each time they repaired the laptop, they installed old drives and used parts, so the issues persisted and laptop won’t even update to latest Windows operating system. After more than 5-6 repair attempts, they still rudely refuse to refund or replace it! I am taking things to Fair Trading and will never buy anything from those Bing Lee scammers!

Give this business a miss if you pay for premium delivery with removal of your old appliance. My old fridge was cleaned as required according to their website, but there was dirt on the outside that apparently was animal redisue? Cockroaches? So without forensic testing, who knows, they refused to take it. If it wasn’t that it was apparently a little heavier than the one they delivered anyway. Stick with the reputable “online appliance” store that will remove your old appliance without an issue.

Worst ever retail experience of my life. Made an online purchase, and after 2 months I was still waiting for them to confirm delivery date (originally was 10 days). Due to the exceptionally poor communication I cancelled my order. I provided bank details for refund and advised them that the refund couldn’t be done via the original method of purchase as I had closed my PayPal account. I was told that should not be a problem but it may take a little longer for the refund to be processed. Over 30 days later - again with zero communication from them, I follow up to ask where my refund is. They tell me the refund was issued to my PayPal account which was closed over 3 months ago! No apology or explanation as to why they ignored my request. I have now been on the phone with PayPal for 45 mins trying to get my money back. I am furious with Bing Lee and will never purchase anything from them again. I have never had such a bad retail experience in this country and will be making a complaint to NSE Fair Trading.

Bing Lee is a disaster and it has ruined the Xmas 2023 for my son. We ordered a laptop for my son on 25/11/23 as Xmas gift, on BL website it indicated the item will be delivered between 6/12/23 and 11/12/23, until today 24/12/23 there is still no ETA. Everytime we have to call them or email them to get a generic update: item delivery is delayed, sorry for the inconvenience and push the issue to the laptop vendor. I call up the laptop vendor who says the issue is with BL etc ... what a non professional retailer which is supposed to be a main one in Aus. They took the money in full during the order time and just remain silence until I initiate the communication. Now it is too late to go and buy another laptop for my son. Never again I will buy anything from Bing Lee
Lying staff/ price gauges
Have been shopping at bing lee for over 30yrs like many others spent a fortune on electric goods. Shopped aro und for a appropriate price for a TV only to come back to bing lee,tried haggling a little on the price like anyone only to be told no further discounts before Xmas not $1more would they discount.
Then to find out about 3 days later they dropped the price a further $200,

Delivery advertised for the next day or 2 to 4 days. We'll I waited 2 days for them, then I contacted them and now it's 5 to 7 days and that's if the items come from another place. Really not good enough at Christmas. No communication just poor lack lustre apology. If you can't deliver what you say then maybe don't promise. You ruined my Christmas and I will not ever be shopping with you. If you deliver my items within the original posted date then I'll remove this review. But I'd say it will stay as bing lee are horrible. Big w, kmart, dick smith and jb hifi all kick your behind. I honestly hope you go out of bussiness
Forgot my delivery
Delivery scheduled for Saturday but they forgot me so I now have to wait until Tuesday - will have to take the day off work and have ordered food for delivery in expectation of the new fridge (old one has died). And their offer to compensate? $150 - I wish I had read these reviews before I gave them my money.
Extremely Disappointed with Bing Lee Services
I recently had a highly unsatisfactory experience with Bing Lee that compelled me to share my frustrations. I placed an order for a Sony TV A95K, eagerly anticipating its arrival for the Christmas holidays. However, after waiting for more than two weeks without any updates, I was shocked to receive an email informing me that the TV was out of stock.
The lack of communication throughout the waiting period was utterly frustrating. I had to initiate contact to inquire about the status of my order, only to find out that the product I had been patiently waiting for was no longer available.
Upon reaching out to Bing Lee's customer care, I received a response that not only failed to address my concerns adequately but also lacked any attempt to rectify the situation. The suggestion to seek competitive prices online and the refusal to consider any future pricing or exceptions left me feeling undervalued as a customer.
The complete absence of transparency regarding stock availability and the inability to provide a satisfactory resolution, coupled with the suggestion that a refund would conclude our transactions, has undoubtedly left a sour taste in my mouth.
This entire experience has been nothing short of disappointing, and I would strongly caution others to consider alternative retailers with more reliable customer service and communication practices.

It didn't heat the water or wash the dishes. It was faulty from the get go.
I called Bing Lee to try to get a refund and they put me on hold for more than 20 minutes and said if it's not reported as 'dead on arrival' within two weeks (it was around 3 weeks when I called them, 2.5 weeks when I called the service number in the manual) they will only repair it. I doubt that is consistent with my statutory rights under the ACL. They are still "looking into it". It's a simple matter. They sold a faulty product and should replace it or give me my money back. The customer service was atrocious. The repairman through Glen Dimplex called in sick and then they were "upgrading their systems" so couldn't access my account etc etc. I will never buy from Bing Lee again. Sometimes you buy something and it's faulty but for them to refuse to provide customer service and give me a refund or new dishwasher is not OK. I only just bought it!

Paid for delivery & old oven removal, & not only would the delivery guy not take the old one, he got aggressive with my husband when we asked him too! Terrible service, terrible response to my complaint. I will never shop from Big Lee again. 0 stars.
Taking money for services not provided
I paid for a fridge to be removed from the premises after delivery of the new one which did not happen.
I was NEVER informed that the outside of the old fridge needed to be pristine clean, it was not noted when I was paying the pick up fee of $59 that the pick up would not happen if the fridge was dirty (Fair Trading advised this is a failure to disclose), nor was it on the front of the receipt where there was a paper with important information for the delivery day.
I called the store as per the delivery drivers advice to get the refund to be told no it was part of the terms & conditions (which again were never disclosed) and they are on the website.
I fail to see how this would have helped to read it as I had already paid for the pick up instore so I don't understand why I am being denied a refund of the $59 when even the delivery drive told me to call to get a refund.
No idea and no responsibility
Made one order. Delivered in 5 different parcels. 4 were late. Customer service blamed AusPost but couldn’t even tell me how many items were in each parcel. Blamed me for not ordering express post, when it was late and no express option. Then wouldn’t give me the place to leave a review.

Purchased an LG washing machine for $2300 with 5 years of warranty. A year later machine stopped working. Called them to organise replacement. It took them so long to reply and kept telling me we've escalated the issue with LG...no answer yet and machine is still not working....

Do not buy from binglee
Purchased a dishwasher online, arrived the next day which was great, installed and noticed it was leaking. Not from the hose but from underneath nowhere near the hose connection. Called manufacturer who couldn't help after troubleshooting. Called binglee who without asking anything about install decided no refund stating "installation error" how they came to this conclusion is beyond me. Installation is connecting one hose at the washer. Definitely not where the leak is coming from. Straight illegal not to give a refund. I will never buy from binglee and advise you shop elsewhere.

Shipping estimates and advertising bordering on dishonest
Don't order from Bing Lee if you'd like to receive your product in a reasonable time frame or expect customer service to be able to help you if things go wrong.
I was silly enough to order an 'available to order' item from Bing Lee online with a "Delivery Method: Australia Post Delivers within 18-20 Days."
On day 14 I have called for an update and was told that they were still within the estimated delivery period and they couldn't tell me when the product would arrive from the supplier. Try again later.
On day 16 their website was showing the item as 'in stock' online and in multiple stores including one 5km from my house.
On day 21 (after the delivery period) I have called to check on my order and was told that it would be coming towards the end of the month, at least a week away. I had asked for this to expedited and pointed out they had stock in stores local to me and was told this would probably take a week for them to ship the stock back from the store to their warehouse to then ship to me. Meanwhile they are advertising on their website $20 guaranteed next day delivery for this very item.
I even had the pleasure of paying $6 for the (non)shipping of my product that is now on day 21 of shipping time while someone could order that same product today and apparently receive it tomorrow.
This has been such a poor experience for me that the only two possibilities I can deduce to be the cause of this are:
a)Bing Lee backend/warehousing systems are archaic and allow customer service no ability to actually help customers
b)Bing Lee are happy to take your money on orders where they have no chance of fulfilling them in a reasonable time.
