Sadly the current staffing situation within the UK is affecting this Arc badly.

Pre-pandemic I would have recommended the company in a heart-beat, post pandemic however is a very different story. The staff are very poorly trained, you make a booking a month ahead and a few days before they tell you that they cannot fulfil the whole booking and then on the day you are lucky if anyone turns up.

We have now had multiple instances where staff have failed to show for bookings leaving the event venue short staffed and of the ones who have shown up they have been unable to fulfil their duties of holding a tray as a wine waiter.

I wish I could be more positive and hopefully in the future they will be able to turn things around, but at the present time they are unreliable, expensive and poorly trained.

They allowed us all to apply for certain roles on their app and then told us on the day that we will be working whatever role they want us to. They made us arrive an hour early for training but then they didn’t train us🙂 They had us sit around for that whole hour (UNPAID!!!!!). Two hours after we arrive and finally we start serving food which is when the chaos begins. The ‘team leaders’ (who clearly had never done that role before) had no clue how to organise us. We would all come out with plates and we would be standing around waiting for our team leader to guide us, which just never happened so we would serve random tables. The team leaders were supposed to organise all the veggie meals but this was never done on time, so the waiters would have no clue who was veggie and would place the wrong plates in front of people. The food wastage here was RIDICULOUS, at one point a whole team (8-10 people) had to throw their fresh food away due to the lack of communication from team leaders on when all the tables were done. One of the team leaders were EXTREMELY RUDE. Screaming at people for not clearing the plates fully (which may I add most of the staff were extremely young, so this job was probably their first), the same team leader followed me into the dinning area (where the guests were) and instigated an argument between the pair of us because I made a comment that a different team leader didn’t like. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone so unprofessional in my life !!!

The chef also made inappropriate ‘jokes’ about penises whilst surrounded by YOUNG TEEN boys !! They looked extremely uncomfortable. The ovens were waist high and in front of the food handlers, the chef told a boy to “shut the oven door otherwise their kids would burn” .. I found their ‘jokes’ cringe worthy and inappropriate.

So I definitely would not recommend this company unless you like to have your time wasted and love being spoken to like your sh** on their shoe by people who aren’t even trained for their role (:

Great agency to partner with for events - Always kept up to date with how bookings are progressing and Arc also accommodate last minute requests we have.

Staff are always punctual and professional in the duties they carry out.

This agency is just will take care that you get the shifts and work hard and in the end, you will not get a fair payment either get any solution for any issue that happens within the shift. It's will give you so many shifts but you would get less payment .when you call their phone numbers suddenly will not answering your finance enquiry as they treat you like a slave and do not even look at your profile or what you have done. Only they got your money directly to their bank accounts, and you need to chase them to get your pay for what you've done. It does not matter how many shifts you got and how many hours you spend standing on your feet. The matter is how much money you provide to them return unfair rate changes to get less. huge scam company I've ever seen. also if you work on the 25th of any month will get paid after two months of waiting as they say that is the threshold of the month so it's hard for them to pay in early of next month!

Arc were great at helping us out without much notice for a wedding in Nantwich in Jun 21. Although we'd never worked together before, the team were great, communication was fab, and the out of offices were very precise! Would definitely use again - can you open an Oxford branch please?!

Easy to sign on with but shifts way to far away. Admin is none existent and if you have a question then you never get an answer. Last minute change to shift times and then blame you when you can't make it anymore. This then goes down as a strike. Also not allowed to be sick, otherwise its another strike. Needs better organisation

Easy interview, they will hire anyone, seen many fools get this job if I’m being blunt. 1 star as it’s a waste of time. You’ll get a job then get cancelled on the same day with 1 hour pay. Jobs you do get will state 10 hours but will end up lasting 5. There more than 500 staff and are biased over certain people. As someone who has been here around 2 years it’s a waste of time. I recommend Compass, Host or Catapult agencies if you don’t want to get messed around, instead of this waste of time.

Do not take on any work for Arc. Was assured among with others we would be working for k we a week at a certain event. Took days off work for training and other registration for the event and didn't get any shifts. Was told every day there would definitely be shifts and they would be sent out the next day etc. Took a week's holidays of own job for no reason. Arc will lose you money. Also will not respond to messages calls or emails.

I rejected the opportunity to work there and was constantly spammed. Also, someone who worked there texted me abuse really unprofessional company. I am so glad I avoided when I did. Especially reading up the reviews online.

All staff arrived on time and well turned out. Standards were good. Managers and Supervisors coordinated staff well in conjunction with our wishes and those of the DPS

Poor quality and undertrained staff. Waiters are not able to hold trays and drop constantly at corporate events

All staff turned up on time, did the job and we finished ahead of our Room Ready time.
