Great communication

Thanks to technology I found I was able to pinpoint with greater accuracy just where my families came from.
I am now 86 years old and have advanced my computer skills considerably. I am now able to follow ancestors and their migration around the world.
An explosion of new information has become available to me, which promotes my understanding of the past, as new discoveries are literally unearthed
With the home testing kits everything was explained and the test has been well worth-while.
I have had four people who have contacted me regarding family adoption details, and they are now a bonus and added to my tree.
On the whole I think it is a very satisfying experience and sorry in some ways that I hadn't done the test sooner.

I found interesting information about my father’s family. I didn’t know a great deal about the family on this branch of my family tree as my father was somewhat estranged from them.

The set up and layout of Ancestry suited my needs. Found it easy to build my family trees but be aware to always do thorough research and check that you are on the right path, so as to not mislead others. As one of the great features is that you can share and make contact with others and distant family members.

My experience with Ancestry has been very rewarding and I have found it to be very straightforward to enter data.

I have found it interesting to learn what a 3rd great grandmother's life was like by connecting information about her and her family. Access to newspapers has made such a difference in this particular family.

You never know what you might discover. I put a few of my details on Ancestry and a few weeks later I had a message from someone I did not know. Since then I have found out about a whole new family on my fathers side which I did not know about. I have step brothers and sisters. I have met some of them and the stories were amazing.

I order did the ancestry test to find my heritage and I unexpected found who my father was, my Mum never told me before she died. I have had so many matches with his family. I met my cousin and 5 Aunties.

I used to be able to research ancestors in the UK but this year everything seems to of changed. I've paid the usual amount thinking it will be the same thing but I can only see some of other peoples trees and the only things from the UK that are not blurred out are things I can research for free on other sites. I have very limited australian options as well. I constantly get a page telling me I have to pay three times more to be able to research anything I used to be able to look at. Very disappointing and an absolute waste of money as being a pensioner I don't have hundreds to be able to pay for six months.

Ancestry has the best range of DNA matches, innovative programmes and quality data matching to make this a worthwhile investment of my time money and expertise i recommend them

I have found it easy to follow the prompts and hints provided by Ancestry.com.au over several years. The company also shares discoveries from other users which may be useful. I have been able to trace my ancestors and build a comprehensive family tree. There were no surprises with my DNA result.
I have found the experience very satisfying.

I don't like the way you blatantly advertise "Newspaper" products on almost every screen. I don't subscribe to the Newspaper or to the Fold products (they're too expensive) but I hate being forced into looking through their products when there is obviously a link in their data to my tree.

Researching gets better with every new discovery. I call myself the Queen of Convicts with over 25 of them so far, spread throughout both my Maternal and Paternal lines. Learning almost everything about my 3X Great Grandfather William Baker a convict from the Second Fleet 1790 has been very rewarding, and finding I had a new first cousin from my DNA results was amazing.

Knowing my family tree and all the history and information you can access is an amazing experience and mind blowing at times. I’ve been doing it for 20 years. It’s better now than ever with DNA matches to support and verify your ancestors. I have discovered photos and visited places where family lived. I’ve connected with distant relatives and we help each other with our research.

Love ancestry.com. I couldn't do my family history without it! So many records - & I especially like to see the actual source images when available rather than just transcribed records. More & more record images are becoming available. Census records help to put family members together. Wills list relatives. And parish registers are a gold mine! Ancestry.com has helped me to go back step by step for many generations. I'm hooked!

I found out that I am related to Larry Hagman the actor from I Dream of Jeannie fame. My 3xgreat grandmother and his 2xgreat grandfather were siblings.
