It was their first time organizing something as big as the Guinness World Record event, so it made sense there was some "amateur" mistakes in the whole process (such as giving different estimated timings and making some people worried about their orders).

But overall all the items and the whole process of the virtual race was accurate, fast to do and fine.

The customer support was amazing, they answered to every question I ever had very fast and they were always respectful. I wish more companies was like that. It's a little sad to see most people leave bad review about them, but my personal experience with them was that it was fine but got a little room for improvement.

Participated in the GWR Official Attempt but yet to receive medal. Starting to think it’s either a scam or a poorly run organization.

This company purchased a licence from Guinness World Records for an attempt at the: "The most users to complete a remote 10 km in 24 hours". GWR approved 25,523 runners and as the purchaser of the licence, the current World Record holder is VirtualRunners. The apparently signed up participants of over 40,000 persons are recognised as participants in that world record. If you successfully uploaded your run details. with the correct details showing ie time of run, distance completed etc, you were recognised by VirtualRunners as a successful runner in the attempt. If you used a Garmin sporting watch and uploaded your Garmin activity file, your run was automatically recognised, without human intervention and a celebrity medal, if purchased, would be on its way to you. I used the Garmin method of uploading my run details. I entered this event in April 2021 and the date of the attempt was 19th September 2021. I did also purchase a t shirt with my entry and this arrived in reasonable time after April, even with the pandemic delivery issues.
If your run was recognised by VirtualRunners, you are allowed to purchase a GWR certificate indicating you are recognised by GWR as a successful participant as well. If you purchased a certificate, it would be dispatched to you but there was a proviso from GWR that it would take them some time to process the event and participants. I am pleased to say the GWR certificate has safely arrived, by FedEx, trackable during its whole journey and has arrived before the medal from VirtualRunners has arrived.
I have sent emails about the delivery of this medal, whether there are any trackable details for the delivery process, without any reply what so ever from VirtualRunners. I have also raised the same question on their social media sites. If you start that question as an original post, it does not get past the moderators. If you tag onto someone else's already approved post, you comment sticks and generally gets some interesting comments about the same problem. Their social media pages are full of similar complaints about this company and the total absence of customer service. It is now 6 weeks after the event, nearly 7, no medal and no reply as to what is going on. If they are having troubling in sourcing the medal from their suppliers, no simple explanation about such a problem.
They do have a process to "claim" no delivery of their products, but you are only allowed to submit one complaint and you are none the wiser about whether your delivery has got lost, is still on the way or simply not sent yet. Very simple, basic customer service that nearly all on line merchants adopt during this pandemic.
I shall leave it to the readers of this review to make up their own mind about this company, which is based in Germany and if you live outside the EU, no recourse what so ever, through any consumer protection service, to officially complain.
I have participated with this company in another virtual run and did not experience any problems with medals etc. If this event has been beyond their resources, share this information so that your customers are aware of what is happening, don't hide your heads in the sand and hope it will all go away.

Nope, just nope. They won't send the product you've paid for, YOU have to chase the customer service because they won't inform you, but the only thing they do is apologising and still not doing anything. No tracking numbers, no follow-up, just disappointment and waisted money and time. I gave them several chances as they have good ideas and good quality stuff but they cannot be trusted at all.
The only thing they do fast is deleting the negative comments from facebook.

Today after some waiting I did receive the most beautiful medal for the Stockholm run, I'm so happy! It's a very nice medal, and it was wrapped in a gift package, very beautiful!

I am writing this review from the UK. I have been told so many things about recieving my Pride Medal. Ive been told a number of times that its on its way. Ive been told its been lost, ive been told it stuck at customs, ive been told that you will have a look and search for a spare medal, ivd been told to choose another medal cause there's none now available and my latest correspondence states you are checking with logistics. Ive requested twice that I wish to launch a formal complaint but nothing has come of it. Completing ignored. This is so unfair. Ripping off Runner's that havd run virtual marathons and just want a medal to add to their collection. I will be asking for a full refund and I will complain to PayPal and my credit card company who will look into this on my behalf. Absolutely disgusting 😤

Signed up for a few virtual runs for the fun of it. Medals and T-shirts looked nice - so We signed up for 4 run and ordered T-Shirts too. One T-shirt arrived and two sets of medals. That’s all for way over $500. Well, you can get a lot of good quality running shirts for this amount and don’t need to spend all the time chasing their helpdesk. Funny enough - they claim to be German - tried to speak to them in German…they actually don’t speak German. I’m German living in the US - so I’m pretty sure it wasn’t me.
Stay away from this scam. You never receive what you’ve paid for.
Also, the one t-shirt we’ve received is actually very poor quality -not athletic wear.

This is a scam. They take your money but they do not send any medals. Avoid avoid avoid...... I’d say it is a strange person in their basement scamming money from people.....

No communication with Team. Automatic replies. No medals arrived after run.. Turning off comments onFB group.. Terrible service....
