Responsive customer service when it all went wrong
I had a real problem with my order. Unusually the seller had dismantled the piece (a cupboard) into many pieces as they had taken it off the Vinterior website intending to keep it after all and move it to a new home. However it didn’t fit and as I had contacted them through the Contact the Seller in case it came off reserve (it was shown as reserved when I first saw it) they messaged me to ask if I was still interested, explaining that it had been dismantled. They then relisted it and sold it to me through the website.
Delivery was then delayed due to the courier vehicle breaking down so the numerous pieces were collected from the seller, taken to a warehouse, loaded on a van, taken back to a warehouse, reloaded on a van then delivered. By this time many pieces were much the worse for wear, some broken and some missing.
Customer service and the guarantee/refund options came to my rescue. Initially I requested a refund and return, sending photos to show the issue. Through the website chat with the seller, a partial refund was negotiated. As funds stay with Vinterior and are not passed to the seller until you say you are happy with your delivery, this was very reassuring.
Separately I had email exchanges with Vinterior who are pursuing a claim for damages with the couriers. Sally at Vinterior has been endlessly patient, understanding and responsive. When you first email an AI bot, Margot, replies but your email passes to a human being if the AI bot can’t give you the answers however the AI bot does also follow up to check that things are being actioned.
Given this experience, I would happily purchase through Vinterior again knowing that they have good customer service if you need it and that the returns option is available but also that, in this instance, a partial refund could be given as a solution allowing me to keep the cupboard and pay for the repairs needed.

Site is good but so far I have had poor communication from the seller. Item is marked as shipped but I have not received a tracking number. The seller did say that it could take 5 weeks to ship - but if that was the case then surely don’t change status to shipped until it has shipped . This is probably more of a reflection on the “trusted seller” I would purchases other items as the site has a good collection

Vinterior: Guilty Until Proven Innocent
A masterclass in how not to handle a seller dispute:
I’ve sold original posters for 12 years, but apparently that experience counts for very little if you don’t photograph every poster at the exact moment it goes into the tube.
A buyer claimed they received a completely different poster - one I have never owned or had in my inventory.
I provided Vinterior with:
-The original invoice for the poster, including the buyer’s details.
-Shopify records showing when the poster was deactivated from my inventory.
-Screenshot from my inventory proving I never owned the poster the buyer claims I shipped.
-Photos of the actual poster I shipped.
-Proof of dispatch and tracking showing the parcel going to the buyer’s address.
-Correspondence with the buyer, including their request to declare the poster as a £50 gift (which is wrong and therefore illegal).
-Additional information about my custom packaging and the poster tube used for the shipment.
Vinterior acknowledged that the buyer’s photograph showed an item I did not recognise or have in my inventory.
But because I didn’t have a photograph of the poster inside the packaging at the precise moment of dispatch, they decided there was insufficient evidence to establish what was in the tube and refunded the buyer.
Apparently, professional sellers are now expected to document the contents of every package like a forensic crime scene.
I’m now closing my Vinterior shop.
If you sell on Vinterior: take photos of everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. You never know when you’ll need to prove what was inside a sealed tube after it has left your hand. And good luck if you ever encounter a criminal on the platform.
