First Time Experience with the Unagi Scooter

I finally received my new Unagi Voyager Scooter app via email, and rode it my for the first time yesterday after impatiently waiting for a while to receive it The app works well, the Scooter nice. The handle bars are a little wobbly, and very short in height (measures to my stomach), but I can still enjoying it. And I am still having trouble figuring out how to change the speed modes.

Customer service at its best

So I signed up to rent a unagi voyager. But it's been almost a week and still no shipment. But if I want it faster coz they're low on refurbished ones I have to order a brand new one. So I did but the problem was I ordered a latte on refurbished one. So I thought it's gonna carry that order out. Nope I received a mist green one. So complained and c/s will be sending me a brand new latte and send my mist green back. Now tell me is that good customer service or what?

This company “Unagi”

This company, Unagi, asks for a review and to refer them to my friends… to spread the word… I’m a college student and I am a part of a community where word gets around. Unfortunately for Unagi, I’ve had nothing but negative feedback about them… each month the company gives me a credit due too many inconveniences —like for 1) when I got my scooter the battery was faulty, causing me to be stranded and lugging around a heavy scooter. 2) Firmware update causing the e-scooter functions to not work as Unagi has promised and advertises. 3) Customer service is just not there. I’ve reach out many times to Ungai in regard to this issue with the scooters function and they seem to not want to communicate or be transparent about issues.

This company advertises that this scooter will make your life easier by efficient transportation so you won’t have to worry. However, since I’ve had this scooter, I can say, my life has been more inconvenienced and I find myself worrying more. If this company isn’t able to be honest, transparent, and uphold what they advise and promise, then they need to go or do better!!

They have fixed this issue with the scooter speed... BUT still doesn't excuse their lake of communication and transparency. There is no other company like Unagi when it comes to the quality and efficiency, that's why it made me upset when they were falling back on their promise... however, today they are writing their wrongs, and I look forward to the promise set forth as this commenter has stated. Thank you!

We’re pleased to inform you that as of October 2, 2024, the issue has been resolved with the release of app version 1.07, which restores the top-speed unlock feature. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience as we worked to resolve the issue.

Horrible horrible horrible company

Horrible horrible horrible company - they purposely misrepresented themselves to sell and rent scooters ,.. they out out a firmware update that literally blocked the ability to go full speed . It took the speed from 20mph to 15mph. They still promote a 20mph speed it now that is a lie . Many many angry customers And the only reply is that they “are working on it “- it’s been over 3 weeks now and zero resolution- I believe it was their intention to do this on purpose and now they are stringing people along. No customer service phone number to call. No phone number at all,.. Al you can do is send an email in which they never reply ,.. stay far far away from this company and DO NOT pay them a single dollar until they fix this issue- I also recommend if you are renting a scooter from them currently , to block your credit card from allowing any more monthly charges to take place until this is fixed.

This Scooter is amazing I never thought it would be as durable and easy to ride gives you options for speed and levels of beginner and advanced it's got great lighting at night it's definitely the best scooter I have ever ridden

Love my e-scooter

Love my e-scooter! I haven’t had any issues with my scooter thus far. It’s made commuting to work super fun and convenient. I take my scooter into the office, so I don’t need to worry about locking it outside.

Scooter won’t charge no contact info

We recently received a scooter, refurbished that will not charge, nor will it pair to Bluetooth. We have tried to contact the company but there is no phone number, nor does the chat feature help but is a continuous loop. I’m now paying for a scooter that my son can’t even use because it only came with half a charge and you can’t charge it. Also it will not pair to the app. It’s beyond frustrating because there isn’t even an email feature…so what do I do?

Its a pretty decent scooter, but customer service do not exist. They don't have a phone number no more, they closed their only store in Manhattan and good luck chasing someone over email ( If you can fine their email on the website) and getting an answer every 2-3 days. So disappointed. I have had my scooter for 4 years now and customer service was the company's strength. So sad and pathetic what they have reached too.

Bad experience won’t recommend

I don’t really leave reviews on anything because I don’t care, but this was important to share as scooter never arrived, no phone number provided to call, just an IA answering, it won’t allow me to cancel my subscription and it’s saying that they’ll try to resend it and a fee may be charged. Completely terrible do not under any circumstances go through this company.

First they told me they sent me a thing saying that I had to do an ID verification and when you open the ID verification it says that if you do not complete the ID verification your scooter will not be mailed to you it will be canceled and you will be refunded. However that is not what happened I never did that ID verification not only did I not do the ID verification and they still went through with the order but they also added a $10 upgrade that I did not ask for monthly. They also on top of all of this sent me a broken scooter that does not even function I haven't even been able to ride the scooter I opened it from the package and as I was pulling it out multiple bolts fell out of the front wheel the front wheel is no longer even attached to the scooter except for by the electronic wiring it's not mechanically put on the scooter at all the o-ring that fell out was wavy instead of being flat long story short is this is ridiculous oh and on top of that not only is it ridiculous I can't even get a hold of them when you call their customer service number there's no answer if you try it after that again after that that is then you will receive a busy line signal. I have no way to return it because I'm not going to pay to return it and then pay a restocking fee and still have my deposit taken out when I didn't do the ID verification and nobody is getting a hold of me. I don't know what to do
