Nerva: IBS & Gut Directed Hypnotherapy Arvostelua

I am learning to control my gut/bowel instead of it controlling me...

I wrote a previous review which was early into using Nerva. I am now writing this second review to add more for those considering using Nerva after more experience with the ap.

It has made a huge difference.

Definitely has affected my symptoms for the better, all of them. However, there have been many unexpected benefits! I am calmer in general. It has made me aware of managing my emotions to protect my overall health not just gut health. Demonstrating how intricately our emotions and gut health are connected, I find the words click in when I'm about to get irritable. People with 'irritable gut' have many reasons to be more irritable, let alone dealing with modern life. Great motivation.

I had best results using twice a day. I have recommended it to two friends and they are also very happy with the results. An excellent Ap.

The audio is very high quality and helped me relax. I’m not sure if my IBS has improved but it does give me some useful tools to deal with flare ups.

Works fantastic . I was surprised it’s almost like a switch gets flipped during a session and my symptoms suddenly stop

I wasn’t particularly happy with the ‘maintenance’ programme when I started it in May after a very successful first six weeks of daily sessions.
Unfortunately I now have to report that the maintenance experience has actually got worse!
The app no longer offers a separate reading list so that users can easily find information and read around the subject.
Instead the reading list has been ‘incorporated’ into the daily sessions meaning that you may have to go through 42 daily sessions to find something you’re looking for.
Nor is it possible to find in which of the 42 sessions crucial elements like ‘distraction’ techniques are described.

And I have become tired of the customer service agents who reply with sympathy to all my queries but who never report any change in app policy.

It must be straightforward for an app to issue an index of contents to signpost users to the area they want to explore? There is no such facility existing at the moment and I feel really frustrated by the lack of user friendliness. I paid for a year’s worth of this app and effectively got 6 weeks - which were brilliant - but nothing else afterwards. You need to try harder Nerva!

Repetition of listening to daily hypnotherapy sessions combined with the short educational chats complement each other very well. They also provide a great level of insight without information overload and separately or together greatly reduce any anxiety associated with GI symptoms

I've suffered from IBS for 40 years and I know it's due to things I perceive as stressful. I've managed it all my life but it has got worse over the past 4 years. Having tried just about everything, I began to feel depressed and tired of the symptoms. A friend suggested Nerva and I can honestly say, in 6 weeks, it has changed my life. I rigidly followed the 6 week course and I'm now on the maintenance plan. I found the information provided very useful and the hypnotherapy has been a game changer. I look forward to the hypnotherapy session every day as it relaxes me and helps with my gut-brain communication. I really appreciate the customer service and communication from the staff. 8I paid for a full year and once the 6 week programme ended , the app went wrong and I was unable to access anything at all. The customer support was slow and consisted of asking me to re install with the latest version. I di this and it still did not work. They seem not to be responding to any further emails. I actually did find the programme helpful and was looking forward to a full year of using the content to support me. I feel that once they have your money they are not interested in rectifying any problems.

I feel my gut is doing a good job.Burping has almost disappeared and digestion feels normal.My levels of anxiety have decreased remarkably and I feel better

This app has been a game changer for me! I was struggling at every competitive golf tournament I was in with nerves and digestive issues. I faithfully did my daily lessons and meditations and I can say that after the six weeks, my symptoms are very mild compared to when I started. I would give it 5 stars, but I had several problems where the app froze on me. Their customer service is excellent! They replied back to me immediately with possible fixes and were extremely professional. I am now on maintenance and I feel SO much better. I highly recommend this app for people who need an additional piece to their IBS puzzle.

The tools Nerva taught me to use really impacted my symptoms. I felt better overall and could handle flairs more easily. Plus, the sessions calmed me and helped my sleep. I love this program.

I greatly enjoyed the well produced guided meditations/visualizations. It might be nice to have some longer ones, but the 15 minute length is helpful for maintaining a daily practice. The voice of the narrator is crystal clear and calming.

It's great that information about IBS is available on the app but as a prelude to each session it often seemed a little simplistic or repetitive and redundant.

I signed up in recovery from twisted bowel surgery, not because I have IBS; I had to "pretend" that I have IBS in order to access the program; perhaps other conditions should be added to the menu.

I really enjoyed the relaxing hypnosis. I like visualizing everything moving as it should within the bowels. I mean this is positive and can't hurt. .
However, I am on Constella 145mcg for visceral lbs x6 months, so not sure which was kicking in?

This program was great. I’ve suffered from GI issues for over 20 years. I can’t say that my issues are totally gone, but things are much better. Thank you for this great program.

Well - detailed info about IBS that I was not able to get elsewhere - not even from IBS specialist doctor and IBS specialist naturopath.
Not For Me - trying to push a connection with my practitioner (s). I want to control the PRIVATE medical info that goes to my doctor. Patient electronic records are misleading enough without adding more noise from a private company.
SoSo - Hypnotizing audio - some scenarios work and others don't. The gardening ones are stressful for me, as are those emphasizing deep breathing too much as I am often breathing into gas pressure and need to be very gentle with breathing exercises.

After following the program as prescribed, every day for 6 weeks, I unfortunately don't notice any difference in symptoms. Support suggested that I go through the program again. Perhaps I need more than 6 weeks to get results from the program.

My gut overall is significantly better and I am better at using coping skills to lessen tension and anxiety.

My IBS symptoms have dissipated and my confidence has increased.

I have gotten some great information from this application. Ive struggled with IBS mixed for years. Ive received valuable insight into the reasons for my condition and great ways to manage it while maintaining a balanced quality of life. I credit my gastroenterologist office for the referral. I was able to get the application at a discount and got an invaluable service.
