Extremely disappointing experience with Triton Showers.

About one year ago, a Triton-authorised engineer attended my home and repaired my T90sr shower without raising any issue whatsoever regarding the installation.

Now, during the warranty period, when the shower developed another fault, Triton refused to attend claiming the exact same installation is suddenly “unsafe” for engineers to access.

Nothing changed in the installation.

I asked customer support a very simple question:

“What has changed since the previous visit?”

No real explanation was given.

Instead, I received repeated references to a technical opinion that had never previously been communicated to me.

As a direct result of Triton refusing to honour the warranty, I was forced to purchase a brand-new replacement shower at my own expense.

The most frustrating part is not the product failure itself — these things can happen.

The real issue is the contradiction:
Triton accepted the installation when it suited them, carried out repairs on it previously, never issued any warning, and only refused service when I needed the warranty most.

Very disappointing customer care and very poor consistency in handling consumers fairly.

FOLLOWING TRITON'S PUBLIC RESPONSE:

After reading Triton’s response, it appears evident that there are still significant unresolved issues, which the company continues to avoid addressing.

Let us be clear:

Triton stated:
“As previously advised, the repair could not be carried out because the shower installation does not comply with our installation and user guide.”

If the installation was genuinely unsuitable, why did a Triton-authorised engineer carry out repair work on this exact same installation one year ago, without issuing any communication whatsoever regarding technical incompatibility?

Triton also stated:
“Our engineers are trained to strictly follow company health and safety policies and unfortunately, in this case, the unit could not be safely accessed.”

That is not what Triton’s own service history from one year ago demonstrates.

Triton further stated:
“At Triton, we always strive to provide the highest standard of customer service and sincerely regret when this is not achieved.”

If Triton truly wishes to provide a high standard of customer care, then why does the company continue refusing to address the issues that remain outstanding, namely:

1. What is Triton’s position regarding the omission of any information about the allegedly unsuitable installation during the first engineer visit?

That omission created a legitimate expectation that the installation had been accepted by Triton for servicing and warranty purposes.

What is Triton’s response regarding the false expectation created by the company’s omission?

2. I repeat this point because I believe it has still not been properly understood.

A Triton-authorised engineer previously attended and carried out repairs on this exact same installation, without raising any safety concern, non-compliance issue or warning of any kind.

No recommendation was made, no restriction was communicated, and no indication was given that future warranty support could later be refused.

Nothing changed in the installation between the previous repair and the later refusal of service during the warranty period.

As a direct consequence of Triton refusing to honour the warranty, I was forced to purchase a replacement shower unit entirely at my own expense.

What does Triton have to say regarding the financial loss imposed on the customer as a consequence of the company’s own inconsistent conduct?

Therefore, the issue is not simply whether the installation complies with a guide.

I already understand what Triton’s position will apparently be from now onwards.

My question, and let this be absolutely clear, concerns what Triton previously did and accepted.

Why does Triton continually avoid addressing the first engineer visit?

The central issue remains the contradiction between Triton previously accepting and servicing this installation, and later refusing warranty support precisely when the warranty became enforceable.
