Online difficulties
Attracted by a good interest rate we attempted to open three accounts. We are not young, baffled by the myriad of information needed including a photo of the reverse of my driving license ! I telephoned the local branch to see if we could go into open the accounts whilst understanding they were to be operated online. That was a no ! So we struggled. Given I suspect people with substantial amounts to invest are old I think some assistance to open the account should be given. Not comfortable with so much information to be held online but guess that’s life.
