May repurchase but won't consign again....
Buying from The Luxury Closet has always been smooth for me—fast shipping and an easy return process.
Selling, however, is a completely different story. I would never recommend consigning your luxury items with them. Their terms and conditions are overwhelmingly in their favour, their authentication process is questionable, and sellers are left with peanuts after all the commissions and deductions while they keep the lion's share of the selling price.
If you're thinking of selling with them, read every clause of the seller agreement very carefully. Better yet, avoid consigning with them altogether. I've also seen numerous reviews from buyers claiming they received inauthentic items and were denied refunds, which only reinforces my concerns. Great for buying, terrible for selling.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Having to post this since I had given them another chance after they fixed the first complaints given the Google review I had posted, they then asked me to edit my review and the minute I do, back to DISASTER. I sent 4 Gucci pairs to sell with them, they kept promising I’d receive mail updates within the next day/s, after more than two weeks of efforts following up still zero update! Then they go ahead and post completely false quality status that they never consulted me on before posting, one pair is basically new, worn max 100 meters for trial) I have pictures of them proving that from minutes before they were picked up, they downgraded them 3 grades to « good » without my approval or sending me any reason or proof which doesn’t exist as it’s absolutely untrue, and it’s been days I ask to escalate this lie and have a manager call back, they couldn’t care less and refuse to call. Oh, and one of the four pairs is still missing zero info on it either! This is the level of disrespect and distrust we can obviously expect when dealing with them. A SHAME of a service. A SHAME.

Poor Customer Service and Questionable Quality Control
I bought a pair of Marc Jacobs shoes from The Luxury Closet that were advertised as "pristine" and "never used." But when I tried them on at home—just a few steps indoors—the leather creased instantly, embellishments fell off, and the insole separated completely. For something supposedly quality-checked and authenticated, this was shocking.
I spent over a week trying to reach them through calls, emails, and WhatsApp with no response. When I finally got through, I initiated a return through the app. They received the shoes back, but then they sent them back to me. They called to arrange another pickup, and even asked if I'd be okay with them repairing and reselling the shoes—which makes no sense. If they knew the issue, their quality team should've caught it before shipping to me. Three days later, they called again to pick up shoes that had already been returned.
Their internal communication and customer service are a complete mess—I will never purchase from them again.

Problem solved by Anas
They finally resolve the issues by honoring the cash offers and refunding my fees. Thanks for Anas Askar’s continuous help and saw this through!
I sent several items to The Luxury Closet under confirmed cash‑buy offers. After they received my package, they changed three items to consignment without my approval and have spent nearly two months giving me delays, excuses, and contradictory explanations.
They now claim they “cannot” reinstate the cash offers because of customs declarations — even though those declarations were based on the cash‑buy prices they originally provided. Worst of all, they are asking me to pay customs and withdrawal fees just to get my own items back.
Important Warning for Future Sellers
The Luxury Closet advertises U.S. operations, but every item is actually shipped to Dubai for processing.
If they change your offer or make a mistake, you may be forced to pay international customs fees and return charges out of your own pocket.
This has been an extremely frustrating and costly experience. Sellers should be aware of these risks before sending anything to The Luxury Closet.

The shoes I ordered were in terrible…
Update: The Luxury Closet reached out to me after my previous review. I will say their customer service was excellent. They offered a partial refund for the shoes.
Original review: The shoes I ordered were in terrible shape. The sole of one of the shoes has pulled away from the shoe and was not disclosed on website. I had to send it to a cobbler to be repaired. Also, while shipping was super fast I received a bill from DHL for duties a week after delivery.
