I’m so angry. Finally purchased a new phone just to be met with a whole new issue. I had been trying to activate or register my number for the last 2 weeks. When i called, the guy who answered was clearly not interested and had no idea how to literally activate or register the number (yet i was told to call them to do just that????) asked for my email and said he will send something to me… yet nothing. then he asked me to wait on the phone while he tried to sort it out but he must’ve forgot to put it on hold. I sat there for 45 minutes waiting but he was talking to a friend the ENTIRE TIME! (And I heard it all) Then had the audacity to just end the call. Im so angry Im assuming this company is a scam.

The operator really put my mind at rest with her advice
The operator listened carefully and explained things to me so well as there was a complication concerning the changes made with Crown that I didn't understand. In addition to this, the lady explained the advantages of using the $49.90 unlimited gb deal that I'm considering using when I more to my new address.

Purchased an eSim
Purchased an eSim, went to activate it and it said I was not eligible for activation. I contacted customer support who said there was an issue with the email I provided? After much discussion, they agreed to refund, although it will take several days. Much time wasted. Would not recommend at all.
(Edit) - telsim's reply fails to address the issue: if the email address supplied was not valid, whatever that means, then the system should not have accepted payment. Happy to take my money.....

Komplette verar***e. Der Empfang in Australien war meistens ziemlich schlecht. Außer in der nähe von größeren Orten natürlich. Sobald man das Land verlässt bekommt man nichteinmal Nachrichten oder Anrufe rein. Dazu müsste man nochmal 35 dollar ausgeben. Da ich eine wichtige SMS erwartete um in meinen Account reinzukommen, habe ich das günstigste Paket für ca 30 dollar gebucht. Es steht nirgends dass man im Ausland keine Nachrichten erhalten kann oder ein zusätzliches Paket buchen müsste. Auf freundliche Anfrage ob ich die Kosten erstattet bekomme, da ich das Paket ja eh nichtmehr nutzen kann, bekomme ich nur den Hinweis ich könne ja nochmal 35 dollar ausgeben. Da sind Telsim natürlich "leider" die Hände gebunden.

Data being withheld and being left high and dry
I prepaid for 160gb of data and unfortunately have had lots of issues. What they do not tell you when you purchase a travel pack as a visitor to Australia is that after the first 15gb is used you have to wait for the next bundle of data which they drop feed to you 10gb at a time. On multiple occasions the top up of data did not happen. I was left without data for 14 hours on the first occasion and more than 8 hours on the second. I am still travelling so will update further in due course. Navigating rush hour traffic in Sydney a couple of days ago with no satnav was no joke. I have found myself having to turn on international roaming on multiple occasions to maintain connectivity at significant cost. Ironically due to the significant periods of time without data it Is unlikely that I’ll even get to use the data I already paid for. Customer services dont seem to be able to do anything about it. I suspect they are overwhelmed with lots of customers all having the same issue. It is genuinely crazy that they withhold data from you that you have already paid for. I would avoid using telsim and have learned my lesson the hard way.
