Disappointed that Telecare have no dedicated carers to help physically for serious falls
I have just found out that unlike local alarm care companies, Telecare24 do not have local health care support workers who come and assist you if you have a serious fall/ accident. If I was aware of this I would never have made a premium payment and commitment to Telecare 24. I signed up because of the GPS function of the alarm but more important I wanted assurance that I would get dedicated and personal on Hands support should I have a serious fall. I have had a number of instances where I have injured myself and been rendered unconscious whilst at home on my own and my partner has come home to my lying on a Blood stained carpet with facial injuries

Ordering my new alert box was trouble free, your instructions for installing it were excellent and I was able to do it myself and did the test call to establish all was well. I only did not give 5 stars because I haven't been able to test it in an emergency situation. So fingers crossed! Thank you.

Am happy with my experience with Telecare24
Have used Telecare24 for some years now, have not used them fo an emergency situation but they have always answered the test calls promptly & professionally. Due to Ofcom directorate we have had to change over to the new digital service slightly more expensive but at least now the alarm works if the power fails or the broadband goes down. Which happened a few days after the new set up installed. Within 2 days of ordering the new kit it arrived & was very easy to set up. From my experience I would recommend Telecare24 if you need an alarm system for an older or vulnerable person.

The only negative is that I sometimes send false Alerts, even when sitting down and just reading, but I'd rather have that than a genuine Alert not going through!

Enforced upgrade before fibre installation completed . System fails to connect due to weak mobile signal.
Net result, no alarm.
Telecare customer support have sent me their wet blanket placating email but failed to ring me and discus the matter properly.
The alarm switchover sequence was driven by Telecare 24. They should have explained the requirement to upgrade to a VOIP broadband connection first. The net result of their lack of communication and refusal to reinstate the analogue device is the my friend Peter is now UNSAFE.
I have been promised a call from customer services by the clinical team but it has not materialised.

Leaving the analogue system as it was is simply not safe or reliable, as users could be unexpectedly cut off from the service and the alarm would stop working altogether.
