I'm not sure about this product
I'm not sure about this product. I loved it when I first used it.... Easy to use and wonderfully mouldable. I brought a multipack because I knew I would need more, But, the shelf life is shocking, I opened another of their small packs today and it was sold.... Impossible to mould. It just broke and definately nothing like glue. This was a massive shame. Unless I was going to use it immediately I would probs not buy again. Sorry.

Goed product, matige verpakkingsstrategie.
Ik ben op zich er tevreden over het product, het doet wat het zegt op de verpakking.
Helaas staat op de buiten verpakking geen houdbaarheidsdatum. Nog vervelender zat in mijn laatste verpakking met 4 zwarte en 4 witte deelverpakkingen een verschil van houdbaarheid van 10 maanden (Zwart 08/2021 en Wit 06/2022), voor een product met een 13 maanden houdbaarheid is dit verschil echt te groot! Gelukkig weet ik dat het bewaren in de koelkast de houdbaarheid tot 3 maal de overige tijd kan verlengen en liggen de niet gebruikte deelverpakkingen in de koelkast.

My favorite project, though, involved securing a wine rack to a mirrored wall in a bathroom. The rack now holds rolled up towels for guests! I wish I could attach a photo. I frequently get compliments on this project. Sugru made it work!

Really wanted this to work
Really wanted this to work. Arrived quickly but didnt work for my projects. Followed instructions. Tried twice to fix a small tear in wellies. On both occasions it came off. Tried to apply to wood as a hook. Came off. Ended up using glue for the wellies and screws for the wood.

A good idea, but not at all robust as claimed and not fit for purpose.
I had bought a pack of four black and four white packets, and a second pack of three white packs. I used them all on tupperwear and plates, both plastic and ceramic. The brand claims to be good in temperatures -50 to +180. It claims to be dishwasher safe, but most of my sugru has crumbled off. It's a great idea but a low quality product in my experience. I've seen it used successfully by others, which is why I bought it, but I guess it just isn't that robust.

It's true that Sugru is safe for use up to 180°C, and is dishwasher safe. It also bonds well to ceramics and most plastics, so should have worked well for your fixes.

Update March 2021... SUGRU customer service ROCKS! I am so impressed. Sugru responded to my review. They addressed every single point I raised with a courteous, complete and helpful response. (Usually companies respond with a form letter that says absolutely nothing. Don't know why they bother.) Sugru REALLY stands behind their product. All companies should aspire to Sugru's level of customer service.
Depends on how you use it... we bought Sugru in winter 2019 to fix a hole in my husband's ski boot, but it did not stand up to the wear and tear. We used it to fix a computer cable and it worked like a charm. Today, (Feb 4, 2021) I pulled out the last packet to fix another cable, but the putty had completely dried out. The package was dated 08/2019. Given the rather high price point ($15.99CAN), this short shelf life is disappointing. Maybe sell a separate solvent to revive aging Sugru. Also, I would nave needed just a teeny tiny bit to fix the cable this time round and would have had to toss the rest since it clearly doesn't survive long. Hope this feedback helps with product development, and helps other users as well. :)

Sugru fixes to the upper and outer areas of shoes such as patching tears in fabric, or sealing small cracks work very well, but our experience with Sugru fixes to the soles of shoes are very much a mixed bag – the constant impact and abrasion often means these fixes are just not durable enough. I'm sorry if this was the case for the ski boot!
I'm very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the shelf-life, I understand this would have been very disappointing to discover when you went to use it again!
Sugru has a shelf-life of 13 months from the date its made. If you like keeping things for a rainy day, a handy tip is to store your Sugru in the fridge (or freezer), and you'll extend the time left to use it by up to 3 times!

Schade, mehr erwartet vom Produkt
Hab einige Packungen gekauft, gleich in Metallboxen und die mit den Magneten. Nachdem ich alle defekten Kabel gefixt habe (halten immer noch) hab ich die Metallboxen beiseite gelegt. Wollte die Magnete letztens brauchen und siehe da ... bocksteinhart und nicht mehr zu gebrauchen! Für so ein teures Produkt absolut schade dass es nach einer gewissen Zeit unbrauchbar ist!! Wusste nicht das es ein Ablaufdatum hat, da ich alles in der Metallbox gelassen habe und es wurde dunkel und kühl gelagert (wie empfohlen). Es funktioniert zwar, die Haltbarkeit ist extrem kurz und ich musste mehr als 3 Packungen entsorgen. Werde wieder zu anderen Produkten wechseln bei denen ich nicht aufs Datum achten muss

Great, but issues with shelf-life
This is an excellent product that works well. The massive problem is the shelf-life. Single packs are very expensive (when actually in stock) and unless you have a whole row of jobs lined up the chances are that if you order a multipack you'll use the first one and then throw the rest away because they're out of date and don't work.
If money is invested in the development of the product (or the wrapping) to extend the shelf-life this would be a must for every tool box.

Really useful for multiple uses, easy and clean
Helped me hang some floating shelves and had some left over to repair my earphones. Set in 24 hours. Shelves are held up properly (they are lightweight shelves) and support the weight of my Lego models, and the glue is supple enough to have moulded around the broken cable on my earphones and has fully sealed the breakage. No need to throw anything away! Thanks Sugru!

Short shelf life for price
Bought some sugru (3pack) to fix cables and learnt that it is single use so I waited to collect some things to maximise a packet. I hadn’t realised they have an expiry date so opened it today as I wanted to use it to fix my puppies’ harness but turns out it had all gone out of date and was all crumbly :( Even kept it in a cool dry place so didn’t expect it to go off. Frustrating as I didn’t even get a chance to use it, hence the one and I’m unlikely to purchase a whole other pack. Also reading that there are allergic reactions when used close to skin I’m unsure about investing again.

I'm very sorry to hear you didn't get the chance to use your Sugru! As you mention, Sugru has a shelf-life that's determined from the date it's manufactured. If you use it before the expiry date, the cured Sugru will last and last. You'll always find a use-by date on the back of each single-use foil pack as well as on the outer packaging.
If you like keeping things for a rainy day, though, you can store your Sugru in the fridge, and this will multiply the number of months left to use it for up to 3 times!
I do understand that it can be frustrating to find that your Sugru has expired. Could you please drop us an email to hello@sugru.com? We'll get some replacement Sugru out to you so you can get fixing again.
In regards to the skin sensitivity, our Original Formula contains a minuscule amount of potentially sensitising ingredients, so can cause an allergic reaction in a very small number of people with sensitive skin or after constant, prolonged contact. Which is why we launched our Family-safe | Skin-friendly Formula, which is safe for prolonged contact with skin, so it’s great for projects where Sugru would be in prolonged contact with skin (e.g. wristbands, headphones, eyeglasses, inside shoes, etc.).

While promising, failed to deliver
While it seems like a great idea, I feel it failed to deliver for me.
It was only successful when I tried to stick minor things and even then I had to try two or three times until it actually worked -sometimes it didn't even then. I applied pressure, I tried many ways but nothing worked.
The packaging is also kind of useless because once opened, it did nothing to protect the content from drying out even If I tried to close it carefully, so I had to use a whole package every time I wanted to stick something, just so it didn't go to waste. All in all, it seems like a great idea that is just that, an idea. It's almost as if the product isn't finished yet.

It worked well but my hands suffered the consequences
It worked well and hung up the item that I needed to hang. However after having it touch my skin less than a minute later I felt a burning sensation in my hands and my hands were covered in dark red-ish patches and I couldn't touch sugru without it burning so I had to get someone else to use it for me. I saw on the packet and on YouTube videos people not using gloves so I did the same.
Afterwards I saw that there was a small warning at the bottom of the back of the pack but I didn't expect any irritations to occur to me as this has never happened before. I couldn't find anyone else online speaking about this experience before so I thought I'd include it in this review. But other than that it's a decent product. It's only been two hours though so I'll have to see how it holds up!

Double check Best Before date after buying online.
Ordered a pack of black ones. Used just 1 of them and its great. Unfortunately few months later (like 6) when I need it again I discovered that the other Sugrus are hard/dry and useless. Good product but best before needs to be check just after buying them from on line resellers. I wish to use it again but I do not want to risk. Any way is very good and use full product.

I don't even know what to say now. I scored a product with 3* because a relatively short shelf life(13 months). After that I was contacted by Sugru Customer Service Team (Jordan) who explained me how to extend Sugru shelf life up to 2 or 3 years(fridge). He offered me super deal as well. Next day I had email from Katie that my parcel is on the way. 1st clas Royal Mail. I'm speechless. Never seen that kind of customer service. 10/5*. The product I bought was ok and it was only MY fault that it expired before I use it but they still did everything and beyond to make every customer happy. BIG RESPECT for whole Sugru team.

Sugru & squirrels
I like Sugru for many things, and now always have some in my refrigerator, just in case. Something not staying where I want it, broken bits of plastic, wood, whatever.... all kinds of places where it turns out to be the best option.
And, whilst doing battle trying to keep the squirrels from emptying my bird feeders every single day, I discovered that they do not like Sugru. I had one of those feeders where the outside drops down with any weight on it - the squirrels discovered that they could fix that by ripping off the metal guards and chewing all the holes bigger. They really are a pain!! Anyway, thought I'd try fixing the holes with Sugru and was pleasantly surprised as not only did it work to fill in the gaps, the squirrels clearly tried a chew and decided that they didn't like it.
A product that fixes my toys and deters squirrels is definitely worth keeping around.

Absolute waste of money
Absolute waste of money, I bought 2 packs, I tried the first pack and it didn’t work, there is no point using the other pack as they don’t do what they said.

It seems like a really good product but…
It seems like a really good product but when I bought them from the store and came home to try it out all of them were dry. I’m not sure how long they have been sitting on the shelf and I wasn’t aware of its shelf life.
