Booked an appointment which was changed via email good job I checked!! Arrived and girls were straight away on at my daughter!! "what do you want"then proceeded to grab dresses and pile them up on a wrack. Which were then all wheeled into the changing room with her 1 member of staff assisted her with the first dress and that was it. I had to go in and attempt to untie the knots off dresses to enable her to try them on which wasn't easy as they had crammed in all the dresses with her. In the end we gave up with some of them as they were in such a tangle. The only time we were then really spoken to was to see if we wanted to put down a deposit on a £600 pound dress!!which I politely declined as I don't think she tried anything on that was of any quality at all.
Wouldn't recommend at all. Was not a relaxing or pleasant experience.

Do not buy your dress from this shop. I only wish I had seen these reviews before I purchased my daughter’sdress. We paid for home delivery with a date of 8th Nov. Rang a few days before but got not response, rang repeatedly on the following day. Left voicemails, wrote emails, sent messages via instagram and Facebook on the actual day of delivery - nothing! Not a single response. The date of my daughters event arrived and NO dress. Daughter was heartbroken. We had no time to get another dress. My daughter didn’t attend the event. I’m left £300 out of pocket. Still no response. This shop is a complete scam. I’m so angry that they have ruined what should have been a very special event for my daughter. Please shop elsewhere! I’m now left considering what my options are including suing vis the county court

I would choose less than one star if I had the option. Terrible, terible service. We have tried three times to collect my daughters prom dress. This morning we have shown up to the shop to be told that we cannot collect our dress because they requested the wrong one be brought from the factory. No advance warning of this or message to let us know. Staff claimed to have messaged, but it turns out they used the wrong mobile number so accept they messaged someone else to cancel our appointment. Absolute joke!

Ordered a dress on 10th February, paid in full and advised it would be delivered in 12 weeks, I advised I needed to have it shortened and a hidden pocket added for my daughters insulin pump and was assured it would be in with time to do this, after 12 weeks rang and rang no answer so emailed, finally had a response saying the dress would be delivered by the end of May, middle of May I emailed again asking for confirmation the dress would be her by the end of the month and was advised the dress was scheduled to be recieved on 31 May I would receive a text message on the 30th May so I could arrange to collect in on 30th, after no text went into store and the staff couldn’t give any explanation so phoned the manager who assured them the dress would be available the next day. To my disbelief I received a call from a sales assistant advising me the dress wasn’t in and and should be delivered by the 10th June, during the call the was no real concern that I needed to get alterations and didn’t give me confidence that the dress would come, i finally stated I wanted a full refund which I was promised would be transferred back immediately if I gave my bank details so I could sort another dress. 24 hours later still no refund so I emailed advising I would come into the shop later that day with the card for the refund to be completed, 30 minutes later a full refund provided, no reply to my email no apologies and no point in this saga was any suggestions given to resolve the problem, a store that size surely could have offered an alternative instead of a refund but it was clear the staff didn’t care and the manager wasn’t bothered and is never available. Avoid this shop at all cost the sales patter and fittings make it all sound so simple but the service after they have your order/ money is poor. I would never recommend this to anyone as what should be an exciting time for any teenage girl ended up being a disaster and very stressful and disappointing.

If I could 0 stars I would. Please avoid this shop. I paid in full for a dress in January for a dress for my daughter’s prom which we knew would need altering. We are now in May and there has been no contact from the shop regarding its whereabouts and we won’t have time to get it altered. I have rung the shop numerous times, mostly calls go unanswered but on one occasion I did get a reply. The girl on the end said they needed to contact the manager and would get back to me. They never did. I also have a number of unanswered emails. I have resorted to travelling to the shop on a number of occasions and each time am given a different story. The girls in the shop appear to be able to make contact with the owner but somehow I was unable to speak to them directly. I am now in a position where I am trying to get a refund and find my daughter another dress in time for prom. There is no way I want to deal with Sonique’s again- complete scam.

Terrible service and awful quality and finish on the dress. What an awful experience. £500 for a badly made dress.missing sequins, no offer of compensation. When I suggested they take some sequins from another dress was told that would ruin the other dress even though mine was badly made. Whole place is ran by young girls who don't know how to tackle a problem. No one ever answers the phone or emails. Whole place is a joke and I could not wait to get out of there. Now have an additional cost to buy missing bits to the dress. NEVER AGAIN.

After reading the reviews I was worried, however when we went to try the dresses on the assistants could not have been more helpful. I paid the deposit and then the full amount when the dress was ready to ship. Booked an appointment to try the dress on and collect and it was a very good experience from start to finish.

I am absolutely disgusted with the service is this shop. My daughter has been going on and on about taking her prom dress shopping. So eventually I gave in a took her to Sonique. The assistant was brilliant and I couldn’t fault the service until it came to trying the dresses on. They have a lovely changing room section with seating for the parents. My daughter was shown to her dressing room and just as I took a seat another assistant came over and said “excuse me, I’m going to have to ask you to leave the seating area”. I asked “why”? And her resins was “men are not allowed into this area but you can wait in the shop”. Absolutely fuming I left the shop leaving my wife and daughter in there while I sit outside in the car.
So now as a proud father I can not take my daughter prom dress shopping!! That is appalling and down right sexiest! I am sat in the car with my wife sending me photos from the parents waiting area.

PLEASE DO NOT buy your daughters prom dress from this shop! They are ripping parents off selling expensive dresses that are nothing more than cheap tat!! My daughters dress cost me £450 the strap broke within 30 minutes of wearing it and had to be held up with a safety pin and to top it off they sold the same dress in the same colour to another girl in her school. I emailed the shop and tried to contact them they have very poor customer service. Avoid!! My daughter was gutted! Still no resolution or response 12 months on. I dont usually leave reviews but this shop is shocking!!!

BIG SCAM. awful customer service, rude people

Couldn't fault the staff and the help we received in store, dress arrived eventually after having to chase it numerous times. The dress cost me way over what I wanted to spend but I knew there would be an option to resell after my daughters prom. But unfortunately the quality of the dress was very poor. Paying over £500 I expected the best but loads of sequins came off leaving loads of bits of thread hanging and a spaces everywhere. This dress was only worn for about 5hrs max! I have since tried to send emails and messages but no reply. Very quick to sell you an overpriced dress but don't want to know after that sale. Bad customer service. I'm now left with a dress I can't do nothing with.

There clever marketing on social media convinced my 15 year daughter to go here to order her prom dress. This is a warning to everyone else who gets sucked in by their marketing - the experience is completely different. The dress never arrived, she was offered a replacement from the shop that was broke and she did not want to buy. Our daughter was devastated and hated the whole experience and left crying. DO NOT GO HERE

We like the dress shop at first and there was , some online more affordable too , comparing to other shops that we visit in Cannock( rubish place) , but we had few issues:most the dresses unpriced🙄🙄staff girl that got to assist us: lazy and smelling awaful , excuse me! I insist many times to give more otions to my daughter but , no intention from her, Place that sells £700 dresses? The girls all young and poor dressed too, on saturday morning they were cleaning the floor and leaving the customers alone trying the dresses? What kind the trainning do you give to them SoNique manager? Ok , later pay for the dresses,went home, saw the same dress online for £50 less😱😱😱😡really bad! Emailled the manager to asking why they charged £50 more? And asked refund and apologies, what she reply? Can you send you bank details and name so i can refund you, ok never said sorry or anything.Today pick up the dress, all ok we try on , fine but the only girl working from 7:30 to 8 pm with 4 clients said ,we run out nice bags to the dress , gave the dress in the ranger and plastico on top! I just sent an email to get my proper and fair bag , felt a bit misleading with that place too much money people leave there , shouls all be treated with much more respect!

After looking at the reviews and ordering a dress for my daughter’s Prom for the end of June I felt sick with worry for 3 months as 2 hours from home as yes they are difficult to get hold of on phone. As promised the dress came on time and easy to book an appointment to try dress on albeit not easy to get through on phone. I got the exact same beautiful dress today and am absolutely thrilled. Staff were really helpful even though all run off feet and really was worried over nothing. Trustpilot Reviews not showing Sonique in a good light like in my experience and would have no hesitation using these again.

I ordered a dress in store in a size small as it was unavailable, they informed me it would be guaranteed to be delivered to the store may 29th and I would receive an email when it was delivered. I haven’t received an email. I have tried ringing the store numerous times for 40 minutes now and no answer. They never answer emails, enquiries, or phone calls, very disappointing and poor service considering how much money I have spent ordering a dress. All I want to know if it’s available to collect because I don’t want to do an hour round trip if it’s not there.

It should be a special experience for mother and daughter going to choose a prom dress. We booked an appointment online and arrived on the day. Stood around being ignored until after 15 mins a young girl asked what our budget was and my daughter picked a few dresses out. In the changing room on closer inspection the dresses were ripped and tatty but my daughter had her heart set on one of them. We took it to the till and was told it didn’t matter it was ripped as they will order the actual dress in to store. I said they should put a sign up saying this. They then said their card machine was not working and asked me to pay £600 in cash. I said I don’t carry cash, they then said okay just pay £100 cash deposit. I again said I don’t carry cash and would prefer proof of purchase - I asked them to call me when their card machine was working again. They didn’t call. My daughter did not get the dress. Awful experience and would avoid this shop! One Indian woman (presume owner) and young white girls who look like they are on minimum wage in tatty clothes themselves. All very bizarre!

Paid for dress in November went to collect dress and try on again today very disappointed 1st of all they knew we where collecting dress today so you would have thought it would have been all ready ....please check your dresses befor you take them one of the hooks on our dress was ripped they did offer me to repair it or get a new dress but I didn't want to travel again or wait for another dress as had already waited since November so I asked for some money back which they did not much considering how much and how long we waited for dress ....then the dress looked liked it had been screwed up somewhere they offered to steam the creases out which I wish I had stopped and watched as I said yes then went and sat and in car for 45 mins while they did ( or so I thought so ) went back into shop collected the dress which was already bagged up and left ...hung dress in car got home hung dress again to take out of dress bag to see the dress was still as creased as when it was in shop...not happy as I think this dress should have been crinkle and crease free befor I entered the shop to collect as I had booked the appointment one week befor so plenty of time.....I know you expect some creases but this was ridiculous I think it had been stored somewhere screwed up like a ball so please check your dresses as to say not a happy parent who had spent a lot of money on a creased up not sown properly dress

Absolutely awful service. The shop knows they have you over a barrel. Went to collect my daughters dress today and the dress was damaged. Two girls said that she had damaged it putting it on which clearly she hadn't. Told we could reorder and when I asked about a goodwill gesture was told that they could take 20 pounds off ( dress cost 480 and I'd spent more than 20 in petrol to get there). Manager said if you don't want it then I'll give you a refund my daughter was in tears. Horrible experience given the chance again would not have parted with my money.

My daughter and I traveled 2.5h to this shop, the appointment was on We at 6.20. We were welcomed by a smily young lady who has introduced us to our assistant. This was just a start, as there were four or five young ladies on the floor who were helping the customers and all of them helped us at some stage of our visit. All were extremely helpful, not pushy at all, leaving us to make our own decisions. Only towards the end, when we got down to the final three choices, they have asked us about how we feel about the dresses.
There is a vast choice of dresses in that shop. In short, we have enjoyed our visit very much, the customer service went far beyond what we expected, for example they extended the opening hour just for us, while not even mentioning they have officially closed, until i have noticed we are the last customers in. Big thank you to all the amazing staff! My girl loves her blush pink ball gown and you have given her an experience of a life time.
