pathetic
Even if you give delivery instructions they dont agree to use them. Stolen parcels are apparently our problem, no insurance payout even if clearly listed as signature required.
Both times I've HAD to use them
Both times I've had to use them through the website I was ordering from. Both times was given a delivery date that was never updated and the day came and went. Almost as bad as Amazon delivery.
Its to bad the company will lose a customer due to a out sourced delivery service.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
This is the worst experience I've ever had with any company in any service sector. I have been using Sendle for 3 months since the Canada Post strike of Nov 2024. My last shipment was picked up on Jan 28th. It has been about one month since then with no further shipping updates after they were picked up. In total, they have lost 40 of my packages with their shipping partner Wizmo, adding up to thousands of dollars worth of product (in addition to many lost hours, costs, and potential customers on my end). I run a small business to support my family and Sendle is not willing to refund the cost of the losses. I am also not able to continue business operations in the meantime because of this disaster which is another financial hardship for myself and my family. Not to mention the potential negative impact this has had on my business reputation or repeat clients.
Their shipping rates are reasonable but the amount of $ you may save on each package is not worth literal sleepless nights and stress trying to figure out where your product went, writing endless emails to a bunch of robots, and dealing with unhappy customers on your end.
Their customer service team sends the same prewritten emails every time you reach out to them, stating they will provide updates soon. It has been nearly impossible trying to escalate the situation to a higher up department. I will no longer be using their services once this issue is completely settled with them. It seems like based on other reviews there are some common themes here.
Worst courier ever
Worst courier ever. Do not use them. It’s being a month I shipped with them and I still have no clue why my package was not delivered.
Impossible to sign up
Impossible to sign up. They require a password that would take the CIA an hour to break.
Terrible - Absolutely Terrible
Terrible - sendle lost my package - spent 30+ days looking for it - no updates - only to spend another 30+ days trying to get a refund/claim processed. Terrible customer service. Will bring my business elsewhere
ZERO STARS- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
ZERO - Stay far away from this company. We run an online store in in Canada, we tried them for 2 Months shipping around 1000 packages. They lost so many packages and their claim process is so onerous its nearly impossible to get reimbursed for a package.
It was a horrible customer experience, we had a lot of customer complaints about the delivery drivers and any money we saved was negated by the cost of lost product.
They falsely advertise 3-5 business…
They falsely advertise 3-5 business days, where every single one of our packages took 10-14 business days (2-3 weeks).
They lost 5 of our packages, are refusing to refund the postage or cover the cost / supply insurance of the package.
They have no customer support line, only a chat that you speak with an overseas team that robotically answers your questions with premade answers.
Avoid this service at all costs.
Do not have any expectations that your packages will be delivered
Cheap service for cheap service. If you want your package to arrive "sometimes"...Sendle is the place to use. They've lost 25% of my packages and their support is pointless. You've been warned...use at your own risk.
Twice :/
2 different times. No one picked it up for 3 weeks, so I took it to an outlet they work with, dropped it off, got it scanned in... waited a week. Still no pickup. Contacted them and they said I couldn't change it to a dropoff. They finally switched it to a dropoff and got it picked up...
The second time. I waited from January 30th to Feb 12th when they cancelled it out of the blue.
And also said they tried to pick it up one day but they absolutely did not.
It was sitting right there waiting for them and I was standing here.
It only updated that they tried to pick it up after I contacted them to complain...
I've never dealt with a shipping company this ridiculous before... They shouldn't say they serve this area if they don't or can't have someone come out here..
Slow delivery and delivers LATE at night
Billiard Pro Zone used this company to delivery my stuff. Driver left for delivery at 7:30AM and delivered the product at 8:04PM. I do not appreciate this kind of service as I have kids that sleeps at 7:30PM.
No problems with Sendle (after 500 packages), but...
When Canada Post went on strike in November 2024, we added Sendle as a new carrier. We shipped about 500 packages in 3 months, and our experience with Sendle is excellent. It doesn't mean that we wouldn't have problems with the local courier services. ICS, for example, returned a few items without even a 2nd delivery attempt or a note card. Canpar returned a package when they found out the recipient is a military object. There is some ridiculous stuff going on with courier services; these people are not the brightest candles in the room. But there is nothing to blame on Sendle. They handled every complaint immediately, and are very responsive. They don't offer a plugin for WooCommerce, but recommend one from Joovii which is, unfortunately, a bit buggy. It recently stopped working for us completely. But it is only a question of time until other developers will integrate Sendle in their shipping solutions.
Do NOT use
Do NOT use. Lost packages, poor customer service. Don't be drawn in by low rates.
An absolute disgrace of a company
I used Sendle during the Canada Post strike before Christmas to mail a parcel within Ontario. Signing up for an account and ordering the pickup of the parcel was easy, the price was good ($17 for a 2.5 kg parcel, the destination was a three-hour drive from where I live) and the pickup went well. What followed was three weeks of failed and inadequate delivery attempts, delivery instructions not being passed on, the parcel being stuck (and lost) in a depot multiple times before it was returned to me three weeks later.
All of this was bad but not half as infuriating as "communicating" with Sendle: the company cannot be contacted by phone. All support is given via email or chat with "customer happiness champions" (seriously!) whose support exclusively consists of endlessly repeating pre-fabricated phrases devoid of any meaning. During most of the countless hours and days I spent in this pointless support hell, it was unclear to me whether I was communicating with a human being or some AI bot. The reason for all of this seems to be the fact Sendle isn't an actual delivery company. Both company and staff are located in Australia without any representatives in Canada. All they are is a web interface for customers to place their delivery orders on that are then outsourced to a local courier (in my case a company named ICS Courier). Sendle's ability (or willingness) to communicate from Australia with the courier in Canada seems very inadequate to completely dysfunctional. And the support staff (or AI) couldn't have cared less. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company.
Poor service
Used Sendle for over 50 packages during the Canada Post strike. Pick up did not work - they kept promising next day, but did not show. Ended up driving to the drop off each time.
Very long delivery time, and 3 packages totally lost. Only ended up with a refund on one - the other canadian one finally got delivered after more than 6 weeks. The US one - they failed to take action as they said it was handed off to USPS. Unable to claim so am hoping it turns up
Driver didn't even bother
Driver didn't even bother trying to deliver the parcel. I was home, we also have an entrance way and stairwell where it would have been safe to leave the parcel, as well as a mailbox out the front of the property. Clearly the driver just took it straight to a drop off point instead of trying to deliver it at all. Customer service was pretty useless too, just told me to leave delivery instructions to help the driver. From now on I'll have to add "knock on the door" as their staff seem incapable of doing the most basic tasks without explicit instructions
Lost package a month ago
Lost package a month ago
Won’t do a refund
This business is a total scam in Canada
I took a big loss using Sendle
Tried using Sendle during the Canada Post strike to send Christmas parcel (book) to friends and paints to customers. I run a small paint store.
Five parcels made it over a period of a month. Given it was Christmas season and given Canada Post was on strike I wasn't too upset with one month delivery time as the volume they had to deal with was enormous.
The other five parcels completely vanished. No live human to talk to and no one from Sendle is reaching out to us even though we reported the losses over two weeks ago.
The Christmas book loss sucks but not too bad, $25 book that I can repurchase and resend with Canada Post. One of the paint order losses was over $300, not to mention a customer who will likely never use our store again.
If Canada Post goes on strike again, I will just close down and go fishing before I trust Sendle with any of my parcels again.
Even if Sendle was free - don't do it
Even if Sendle was free, it's not worth the stress of its terrible service.
They also seem to seek out the worst Courier partners, wherever they operate in the world, just read the other reviews.
Generally they seem to partner with Couriers who just never pick up parcels from hubs, lose or destroy the parcels they do pick up, or have sub-human social skills when interacting with any other humans along the way.
Customer Service agents are also not armed with much information or recourse to help customers because Sendle clearly has very few remediation processes or options for Customers that they are willing to undertake, meaning Service Agents bear the brunt of Customer frustration from all over the world. Can't imagine how thin their service playbook would be.
Some super weird questions/quotes from them in providing 'solutions' to complaints/queries include:
[Destroyed parcel] "Do you have a picture of what the parcel originally looked like before this happened?"
[Courier yelled at receptionist] "Sorry about that. Is there anything else I can help you with today?"
[parcel not picked up from hub in over 4 weeks] "Have you tried getting it back and using someone else?"
Truly chaotic.
They position themselves as providing a cost-effective alternative to well established postal and courier services...but instead just illustrate that a 5% saving for rock bottom reliability and service is just not worth the hours of you'll lose out of your life.
Never Sendle
Never Sendle! Even if you're trying to save money. Customer service will take over 24hrs to respond and will not do anything to track your shipment. Sent 3 shipments, lost all of them. No compensation for recovery.
