Car hire went horribly wrong.
I hired a car through Planet Rental Cars from Izmir airport. There was nobody to pick us up from Izmir airport to take us to their car pool. We waited. Nobody showed up. We called. But no one picked up the call. We even got a Turkish person with a Turkish mobile to call the office. But still no answer. Planet Rental Cars has refused to refund the money I paid saying my call log shows the calls were cancelled, not understanding when the calls were not answered, it shows as cancelled.
In the end, we had to make another arrangement to hire another car on the spot at the airport. That cost a lot more money and I had to pay in cash.
It caused so much stress and exhaustion, which cast a shadow over our entire holiday.

J'ai eu une expérience extrêmement décevante avec l'agence de location Right Cars à Antalya. Voici les principaux problèmes rencontrés :
- Aucun accueil à l'aéroport, malgré une attente de plus de deux heures.
- Refus de reconnaître l'assurance souscrite en ligne, m'obligeant à payer une assurance supplémentaire injustifiée de 180€.
- Un dépôt de garantie de 150€ a été débité au lieu d'une simple pré-autorisation. Malgré mes multiples relances par mail et WhatsApp, l'agence n'a jamais remboursé cette caution. Ce n'est qu'en contactant la police locale que j'ai pu obtenir le remboursement grâce à leur intervention.
- Véhicule en très mauvais état (pneus usés, pare-choc abîmé) et absence des documents obligatoires (carte grise, assurance).
- Manque de respect et attitude désagréable du personnel.

Je suis Français d'origine turque, et je trouve particulièrement dommage que ce type de loueur donne une si mauvaise image de notre pays d'origine. Les vacances d'un touriste, qui devraient être un moment de détente et de plaisir, sont gâchées par leur manque de professionnalisme et leurs pratiques abusives.

Ces pratiques sont inacceptables et mettent en danger la sécurité des clients. Je demande un remboursement intégral et un dédommagement pour les préjudices subis. Je vous déconseille fortement cette agence.

Si vous avez rencontré des problèmes similaires, je vous invite à signaler ces abus à la police d'Antalya. Rendez-vous sur leur site officiel de la police d'Antalya (Antalya Emniyet Müdürlüğü) et transmettez votre réclamation via un traducteur Google en turc par e-mail (il y a la liste des mails de contact).

Booked a 5-day rental (Nov 23–28, 2025) at Orlando International Airport (MCO) through CarRental8. Paid in full weeks in advance.
Arrived at the Willy Park / Right Cars counter (the actual supplier). Everything is automated kiosks – no real staff on site. Because I’m not a US citizen, they insisted on extra insurance. Their remote manager personally verified my Mastercard over the phone and, because the card was accepted as valid, lowered the insurance to “only” $25/day (instead of the usual $40+ they try to force on foreigners). I also agreed to the $500 security deposit and signed everything.
Minutes later, the exact same Mastercard that their manager had just verified and approved could not be charged. The system failed repeatedly. They rebooted the terminal FIVE times over 30+ minutes – still nothing.
I immediately offered my US debit card – refused, because “it has to be a credit card.”
I had plenty of cash on me – they said there is no way to accept cash.
After almost an hour of this nonsense, no keys were ever handed over, no contract was completed, and I never drove the car for even one second.
Contacted CarRental8 the same day asking for a full refund. Their reply: “No refund – this is considered a refused rental.” They are hiding behind the supplier and refuse to return a single dollar, even though they were the ones who originally charged my card.
Thanks to this experience I discovered Uber for the first time – cheaper, faster, and zero stress compared to this disaster.

At the end Carrental8 made a full refund. I’m happy to report that they agreed, there was no fault of mine and issued the refund. I will continue renting with them but will be more prepared for situations like that.

I rent it izmir aks for £1500 deposit i refused the pay then cancel rent but they never pay me back i contact with uk headoffice they said nothing with them so all are crap fraud

J’ai eu une très mauvaise expérience avec DiscoverCars. J’avais une réservation pour une prise en charge à 19h30 à Porto, avec mon numéro de vol communiqué. Le vol est arrivé à l’heure.

Une fois sur place, aucun van comme prévu, et après avoir attendu, j’ai appelé l’agence : on m’a répondu que c’était déjà fermé, malgré l’horaire confirmé...

J’ai dû trouver une solution de dernière minute, perdre du temps et argent (coût supplémentaires dû a une réservation à la dernière minute dans une autre agence de location...) et réorganiser de toute ma soirée....

Service pas fiable du tout ! Aucune communication, et une réservation non honorée. Je déconseille fortement !!!

I rented from this company through my Chase Bank travel site thinking it would be safe to do so. When we picked it up from Izmir Airport ( no stand inside, someone picked us up from front of the building to take us offsite place) They charged us $1010 for deposit assuring us it would be returned within 45 days after we turned in the car. Paperwork showed that. We returned the vehicle no problems 2 years passed after many unreturned calls, bunch of excuses. We hired a lawyer and just yesterday they returned our deposit, of course it was $200 less because TL wasn’t worth as much now. They are SCAMMERS DO NOT rent from them.

Ce sont des voleurs. Faites attention si vous n'avez pas un contact en Turquie. Nous avons fait la réservation de la voiture par l'intermédiaire d'Opodo pour être tranquilles. Eh bien ! Ce fut un fiasco. Arrivés à Antalya à minuit le 15 septembre, en allant récupérer la voiture, 1ère difficulté : si votre carte bleue n'est pas à crédit, pas de voiture. De plus, ils ne font pas une empreinte de carte. Ils vous prennent sur votre compte bancaire la somme de 1100 euros au lieu de 650€ annoncés sur le contrat. Ils vous disent que c'est une simple formalité et que le RBT se fera au retour de la voiture. Il est déjà deux heures du matin. Plus envie de discuter. Nous rendons la voiture le 1er octobre. Nous n'avons pas abîmé la voiture. Et commence le parcours du combattant pour récupérer notre argent. Notre chance était que nous avions sur place un membre de notre famille qui s'est déplacé 4 fois pour récupérer cet argent. Il a fallu qu'il les menace d'appeler la police, d'entamer une procédure pour qu'ils reversent l'argent le 28 NOVEMBRE 2025. Plus de réponses au téléphone car nous avons essayé plusieurs fois de les appeler. Opodo s'est dégagé en disant qu'il n'était pas responsable des pratiques du prestataire.

Paid via Travelocity and when I went to pick up vehicle I had another $170 in fees to pay. At that point, what do you do? All other rental companies are sold out and I’m left no way back to the airport. This was truly bait and switch. The car was filthy and smelt of perfume so bad we had to drive with windows down.

Jeg lejede en bil fra den 8. til den 15. Oktober 2025. Vi betalte et depositum på €650 og har ikke modtaget det tilbage.
Jeg har ringet til dem mange gange over flere dage på +905302247575, som står på deres Right Cars Antalya-kontrakt. Desværre har jeg ikke kunnet få fat i dem.

Cette société est à fuire. Ils ne devaient pas débiter notre caution le 10/07, et ils ont débité près de 650€. Nous avons restitué la voiture le 18/07 intacte et nous n'avons toujours pas récupéré notre argent. Ils ne répondent plus sur whatsapp, ils nous ont bloqué. Carjet, l'intermédiaire (basé en Espagne) qui nous a vendu la prestation de location ne fait rien pour nous aider.
Nous sommes le 25/11 et je vais devoir me faire une raison que j'ai perdu 650€
Je rajoute que sur place l'accueil chez Right Cars a été extrèmement froid. Ils ont été très désagréables.
Ils ont fourni il y a quelques jours à Carjet un faux document attestant un virement bancaire du montant de la caution en ma faveur. Carjet dit ne rien pouvoir faire car le loueur sur place ne leur répond pas.
Donc à fuir absolument. Dommage que je n'ai pas les moyens de les attaquer.
Cette société ne fait pas honneur au peuple turc, un peuple accueillant et chaleureux.

Après 3 mois d'attente mon dépôt de 1200€ n'a toujours pas été remboursé malgré de multiples relances au prés de la filiale carjet en Espagne. J'ai du avoir recours à un avocat et la situation n'est toujours pas solutionnée. Il faut fuir absolument cette compagnie. Ce sont des escrocs.

Zero stars. Run- don’t even consider this place. This place is a joke. I made reservations out of Orlando online and paid online. Once I got to the counter- no one were there. You talk to someone via Skype. There are a ton of hidden fees. I cancelled my rental with this joke of a place before the transaction was complete. The company was going to charge $25 per toll and fee although I have my own Sunpass issued by the state of FL. RUN- Run quick to someone else. I went back to the airport and rented from Avis.

I rented a car from this company for a trip to Izmir from October 2–4, and it turned into one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had. Since I declined their insurance option and was a foreign driver, they charged me a massive 40,000 TRY deposit (around $966 USD).

They promised the deposit would be refunded within 30 days after returning the car. It has now been over a month, and I still have not received a single cent back.

At first, they replied over WhatsApp and claimed the refund was being processed. Then, they stopped responding entirely. Every call and message after that was ignored.

This company is dishonest, unprofessional, and preys on tourists.
Avoid this car rental at all costs.

Everything about it, great personal good timing and price very nice vehicles.

Trzymać się z daleka! Skasowali 1200€ depozytu, który miał być zwrócony po 28 dniach. Czas oczywiście minął, firmy nie ma, nikt nie odbiera telefonów, nie odpisuje na maile. Oszustwo!

Rente un vehiculo por 12 días y me entregaron un vehículo con algunos de los plástico aún, su flotilla muy actualizada y su propietaria Ismelda muy atenta y disponible para cualquier cosa más que recomendados quedé encantado

We arrived at the airport at 9:30 PM but there was no one waiting for us. I started contacting them but no one answered after an hour. Finally, someone answered and told me we had to wait about an hour because our car wasn't ready. After almost 2 hours of waiting, I called the company again and they came to pick us up after 30 minutes. We arrived at their office and started the process, and they told me I had to pay for insurance. I refused because I already had another insurance policy. They asked me for my credit card for the deposit, but according to the operator, my card didn't work. We tried with three other credit cards, but it still didn't work. At that point, I began to realize that a scam was underway. They offered me insurance again for a total of 300 euros, which meant I wouldn't have to pay the deposit. It was 2 AM and I only had my credit cards and no cash. Tired of the situation, I agreed to pay the insurance and, magically, the credit card worked. In the end, my rental cost 300 euros more with a completely dirty car. It looked like they'd just unloaded the watermelons and eaten them, leaving the remains in the car. Furthermore, the tank was empty and we were lucky enough to find a gas station open at 2:30 in the morning. CANCEL THIS COMPANY IN ANTALYA.
