Terrible customer service

I have an issue with my meta quest 3s. I have been promised fantastic service, yet I have received nothing but the same repetitive scripted reply’s every single time. I even received an email today telling me they were delighted my issue was solved and they were closing my ticket. I’ve been told I’m getting a replacement, please submit receipts, same response every time I send the receipts, from a different operator every time. It is like my email is on a training programme and im just being threw round the office for practise. This was a Xmas present to our son and he has yet been able to use it. Terrible communication and very disappointing from a company whose mission statement is to “Build the future of human connection”.

I’ve had a complaint going on since early December regarding a £80 meta voucher I purchased and have not yet received. I have sent proof in the for of a receipt and still NO luck!

Meta quest 3

Brought brand new for my son for Xmas wont turn on other than a blank screen , to be told its a software problem and they will email me when it's fixed . Alot of very disappointed children this Christmas by the sounds of it . To top it I was told there is no time frame as to when the issue will be resolved!! So my sons main xmas present is out of use and we don't know for how long. They should be replacing all ones suffering from the faulty software issue. Absolutely disgusting!!!

Dont buy Meta Quest unless your happy to be forced to upgrade

I purchased 2 Meta Quest 1's about 3 years ago. I understand that time and product move on and support has stopped. However, there are still games out there that are supported by my headset. Our favourite Elven Assassin' says still supported by the Quest 1. Recently the headset updated and it turns out that Meta have deliberatly disabled multiplayer on that headset to force purchase of a later headset. If you want a headset that will not have facilitites deliberatly disabled, look somewhere else. We are livid, these headsets cost over £1000 when purchased (I bought 2), and now because of their policy, we cannot use these headsets anymore when before the upgrade their was nothing wrong with them and they were good enough for what we wanted

I would give Zero stars if I could

I would give Zero stars if I could. We both 2 Vrs for our children in xmas 2022. I have the accounts set up in their names with my email. I have an app on my phone so I can monitor purchases, friend requests etc. Started getting emails noting accounts are for under 18s and I need to set up parent account and log both current accounts as kids accounts or the accounts will be lost by December. We would loose 100s of euro. I have been dealing with customers service for 4 weeks (easily 20 emails) e.g. can't verify acc as name on my ID and name of account don't match, couldn't verify via bank details etc. The last email was nothing they can do until my youngst son is 10 in 3 months, they cant pause or hold the account, and wont change it to my name so i can get into it and not lose all the purchases. Don't waste your money on VRs...customer support is the worst I have ever come across when something isn't right or you actually need help. I'll be selling our devices and never purchasing any app, device etc from this group.

4 emails asking for a replacement of a faulty part and they tell me to reset the visor or to asdjust correctly.
really bad support, i need a replacement, a software reset will not fix a broken button, a correct adjustment on my face will not fix a broken button.

account blocked and games lost…

My nephews account was blocked and they deleted £100s worth of games from the account, they offered no fix, we spent over 8 hours trying to fix it. But gave up. The console is not family friendly

If I could give no stars I would, ordered two controllers from the meta store one refurbished one not only one arrived I contacted meta and told them the parcel looked to be tampered with sent them pictures and asked them if both controllers were shipped in the same box as one was missing only to be took around in circles and have no definitive answer to a simple question, was asked for multiple pictures of a box asked for pictures of the controller ect ect, how hard is it to say yes both controllers were shipped together you may want to check with delivery service, plus you only get an email reply back every now and then sometimes daft times like 4am ( the support team looks to be in India) no uk phone number to ring basically all round shoddy support for a service/ item that's quiet pricey looks like I'm out of pocket by £70, would not recommend.

a fuir, inutilisable sur la plateforme PC et trop peu de jeux dessus
Le casque développe tout son potentiel connecter à un pc, car la puce interne n'est pas asser puissance pour profiter pleinement de la résolution. Ce n'est pas un soucis mais la connexion à un pc est indispensable pour une expérience optimal et un choix de jeux grandement accru.

Voulant l'utiliser que sur pc, le Quest link ne fonctionne pas du tout. Beaucoup de jeux ne sont pas compatible et son injouable (seul de très rare cas fonctionne, et c'est bien sûr des petits jeux sans intérêt ^^). N'espérez pas jouer à votre bibliothèque de jeux pc avec ce casque...

Il y a Steam link qui fonctionne mieux, mais pas longtemps. après ça pixelise, ça rame, ça donne mal un mal de tête et c'est suivi d'un rangement de l'appareil...

On a beau avoir la fibre, un pc de la Nasa et tout ce qui s'en suit, on est bridé par les bug et l'ergonomie pourri du Quest 3 qui oblige à le redémarrer en boucle pour espérer lancer un jeu... J'ai perdu plus de 700€ dans un appareil obsolète dès sa sorti. J'attend donc avec impatience la sorti du casque de Valve afin de revendre mon appareil et choisir un produit dont j'ai confiance en l'équipe de développement car même l'envoi de messages à l'assistance bug... Ca ressemble beaucoup à une arnaque à grande échelle !

Lies on offers in email

I was sent a email from buying a new meta quest headset to sign up to the new meta quest + service free for 6 months. I have left the offer to the last day the offer is on till so I can get the best time for me. So to my surprise I clicked on the link on the email to find it's half the time offer not 6 months but 3. So I have contacted meta to be told nothing we can do as it's the last day of the offer, hold on the offer is still valid and in date it's your lies in your email and the wrong link gave to me not my issue but meta's to be told there is nothing than can do how is this good customer service one star is too much on the review

Terrible

Terrible, horrible customer service. Only way to get a hold of them for your account issues, is through email. They will reply maybe once a day once every other day, they just repeat the problem they offer no solution. Absolutely ridiculous. I got a notification where I’ve had the VR for seven months now, I needed to verify my identity. I sent in all the information which really it’s none of their business, and they said it didn’t match trying to get a hold of somebody is impossible and when you finally do, they offer no solution. The reason why they wanted to verify my identity, they thought a child under 13 was using it and they can’t legally steal a child’s data under 13 so they want to verify you so they can steal your data without getting in trouble with the law. How about just don’t steal our data? Problem solved. But no, they need to make money off your identity and what you like. Shady company.

Meta are theives

Meta are theives. All of a sudden £49.99 came out my account. At first I thought my son had subscribed to something but he was adamant he hadn't. Checked my account checked my sons account nothing there. Contacted meta can only speak them online. They have admitted there is no subscription it does not exist but refuses to give my money back. This has been going on since may. Contact PayPal can't help me contact bank can't help me. I them escalate it with bank and they do eventually start a fraud investigation. Meta tried to close my case I have asked for compensation which they ignore every time . They ignore all emails but then I randomly get one once a month asking me the same question what account does the subscription resides. I keep telling them I do not know but it is not on ours. I then tell them the story I even wrote it in captails this time so that maybe they understand better i then ask again for a refund compensation which gets ignored and then I get a random e mail 1 month 2 months later asking the same thing. You.can not sue them or involve trading standards as not in the UK. Just one big fraudulent company with a big name

Decent company.

I honestly think that meta is an awesome company. The headsets work great. Only thing is, some products are quite expensive. I have been wanting to use the headset on my PC for a while, however they recommend I get the usb-c off of their website. Yes it is a pretty long wire, but it is very expensive for a wire.

Another issue, is that there are quite a few bugs, however you can click the "meta" button 5 times for help so I suppose that may help.

I think some of these other reviews, are more about their own issues, because as of now, I have not had an issue with the quest 3.

Nothing works

Can't subscribe to Quest+ - unknown error.
Can't login to Oculus app, though can login on the WWW - unknown error.
Few days wait for support response - they ask for info I provided.
Bought a game - can't see in library.

Worst.
Store.
Ever.

One word : Terrible

The company Meta and the Meta Quest 3 is a device you should avoid at all times. Paid a lot of money for a Meta Quest 3, and less than three months after purchase the USB port suddenly melts down and almost sets my house on fire. The melting of the USB port is not an isolated case on the Meta Quest 3, moreover, the internet forums are full of identical stories, which suggests that at least a batch of this headset has serious manufacturing defects. You then think you can claim your warranty (in my case until June 2026) but then hell begins. After the first email via their online form I had to wait three working days for an initial response in which they ask for another 24 to 48 hours of patience. Not 48hrs but another three working days later, finally a follow-up with an email in which they ask exactly what I already explained in that first email. Friendly as I am, I explained everything again and added the requested information and photos. In the meantime, three days have passed, but Meta support remains silent. No response at all. It is clear that Meta only cares about your money, and once they have that, you are of no interest to them anymore. Some support services can be difficult, but what I have experienced with this company, I have never experienced before. An absolute disgrace.

Disgusting service

Today the free six-month subscription to Meta Quest+, which I never used anyway, ended. That's why I forgot about it, but today $7.99 was debited from my account for renewing my subscription. I immediately tried to issue a refund, but their support page keeps showing an error and won't let me send a message.
The money is lost forever.

Honestly the worst support experience I have ever encountered.

I can see why the VR department of Meta is tanking if my experience is common.

If your headset works and you never have to contact support you are lucky. Once you have to contact meta support it makes the experience with support a horrible time.

5 days to respond to an email, then another.... and then another..... . Multiple different support members asking for the same info that has been provided.

Avoid a meta headset at all costs. I went witha pico 4. Headset is not as good, but dear god everything else has been smoother.

Your stress will be thankful.....

I had a subscription to VZ Fit on Meta…

I had a subscription to VZ Fit on Meta Quest that I accidentally had on yearly renewal. I no longer use the product nut when €79.99 was taken from my card today they refused to refund it.

I literally requested a refund within a few hours of being billed and haven't used the service in a year.

Dreadful treatment of customers. Blatantly obvious that this purchase was accidental.
