Decided to have an air source heat pump installed at the beginning of the year (2026). Obtained quotes from several companies. PHS were by far the best in price and the professional and speedy way all staff we came into contact with both face to face and on the phone dealt with the design and installation. Work completed first week in February. Couple of small follow on issues dealt with very efficiently. First rate. Would strongly recommend.

I am very happy with the work this company did at my house. I had new radiators and an air source heat pump fitted. The installation team carried out pleasing works and they worked in a clean manner. They got my heating system up and running and explained everything before they left. I have had no problems with this system. I also feel the company benefits from a professional back office team.

We learnt about this company through Roof Friendly of Lincoln website.A company which we had glowing reports of. It therefore made sense to obtain a quote for our solar panel & battery installation ,Further to the survey the quotation was reasonable so we went ahead with the work. Being a bungalow no scaffolding was required, the fitters turned up at 8 o clock,the electricians at 9 o clock.By 11 o clock we had a working system,mobil app & were enjoying free electricity . No fuss,no mess, no problems. A great bunch of lads from a great company backed up by superb office staff

My system is a 12kW air heat pump. All was installed in a day, very professional and works great now for 6mths. It is combined with a solar battery system, I am expecting to be heating, power and EV charging, cost neutral at the end of the year.

The staff was very informative before going ahead with purchase. The service was quick with very little upset to home. The workmen was clean and cleaned up for job. They were also polite and respectful . Brillent company.

Joe came once again to undertake the annual service of our air source heat pump. He was friendly and efficient and took the time to explain things to us. Excellent 👍

Can’t fault this company at all. Their team is second to none, polite, work hard, answer any questions you have (even if they sound stupid to you) they take their time to make sure everything is working properly before leaving. The office based teams are also amazing calling before and after works have been done. Would highly recommend using them.

Excellent annual service again of my air source heat pump. Good value for money.

First the good. The staff have all been very friendly and understanding. They've got back to me quickly and have answered any questions I've had promptly.

Unfortunately, this hasn't been a great experience for me. Firstly, the person who attended on the design visit told me the hot water tank could be installed in one location, but when the installers arrived they said it was impossible. This wasn't an issue for me in the end, but is something that probably needs to be noted by PHS.

Everything was going smoothly on my install until the end of the day. The electricians who were meant to finish the install said they didn't have the materials required and would have to come back the following Monday - my install was on a Friday. However, about an hour after everyone left site, one of the soldered joints on a pipe failed and began leaking radiator fluid everywhere, and completely saturated the carpet. I had to try and get this to stop while on the phone to PHS. The installer called me a few minutes later and I managed to stop the leak by releasing pressure from the heat pump outside. While it wasn't freezing cold, this meant we didn't have any heating over the weekend which wasn't ideal.

After the installation was fixed and commissioned on the Monday, I was given the booklets for the various components and told to download the app for the thermostat, which is fine as it is relatively self explanatory. But I had no walkthrough of the heat pump controller or what I did or didn't need to be aware of. As an engineer myself, I like this sort of detail, so while I appreciate it may not be required for every customer, I would have appreciated some form of handover. Unfortunately, and because I put the effort in to learn about the settings in the controller for myself, I found it had not been set up properly. Martin from their installations team was very helpful in identifying what settings needed to be changed, but this should not have been the case, and its concerning that this had to be resolved between Martin and I after the installation.

Some of the guidance I've also had around how to operate the system, specifically the domestic hot water has been confusing. PHS have advised that this should be on all the time, the same as the radiators. But this is not what the general consensus appears to be, and I've had the chance to speak to another installer who explained why this isn't a good idea. I now have to make the choice whether to trust PHS, or the general consensus of the industry, e.g. Heat Geeks.

I understand that sometimes things go wrong, but I would be lying if I said i wasn't disappointed by this experience and had a local installer carried out the installation, they would have been able to come out and fix the poor workmanship on the same day instead of 3 days later. With this in mind as well as the trouble I've had with the commissioning in general, I would be reluctant to use PHS again and am unlikely to use them for any servicing.

1) Pushed heat pump installation before end of March; 2) sold us "in-house" workmen and then contractors pitched up - drilled holes in walls, did poor job fixing walls and left a mess; also only had one new controller even though it was discussed that there are two zones - this was never fixed; 3) messed up the financial application - delaying solar installation for a week - so running heatpump which is 3x more costly than gas - so we had to switch off the heating to the house to avoid electricity expense - the house has been freezing cold for two weeks now; 4) solar installed - they did not have "all the parts" conveniently, so could not connect it to the house - said they would come back next week (after Easter) - another week delayed - a week of generating solar that can not be used for the house, but gladly exporting to the grid, for free..... - another week of using 3x more electricity to run the "efficient and cheaper" heatpump - We have not received any calls to see how the installation has gone or if everything is OK - ZERO after sale service or honestly, just lack of customer care!! - If I had known this was going to be the journey I would NEVER have agreed! ....still sitting without solar connected to house......

A big thank you to Joe for getting our hot water working again. A simple repair, and thankfully the only issue we’ve had in six years thanks to being on the servicing plan.

Had my heat pump serviced, all very good, nice man arrived on time and I actually learnt alot as he explained how it all works. Very pleased.

I had my AHP serviced this week by Project Heating Solutions. Most of the staff there are helpful, but the service engineer was Joe Gundry. He is excellent. Not just servicing the filters, etc, but cleaning everything, to ensure that my air pump stays in tip-top condition.

Had my air source heat pump and heating system serviced today …. The technician arrived on time , so I had no waiting about. Joe was extremely helpful, courteous and respectful. I was particularly impressed by how thorough he was … my outside unit is located rather high on the side of the house ( so may have been overlooked in the past ) yet Joe cleaned the rather green unit until it was lovely and white again. I felt Joe went over and above to ensure my system was functioning correctly.. Brilliant work … thank you

arranged a meeting with the salesperson and went ahead with installation the following week, after 3 days all work was carried out to a great standard, fitters were clean and respectable.

A shout out to Joe Gundry. A quick message to him helped me sort out a little issue when my heating wasn't working. It was just a glitch but Joe was reassuring, as always, and so helpful ( in his own time too). I am so very grateful for the support I have had. Thanks Joe.

Fantastic support from one of your staff his name was Joe we had just been away for 3 weeks came home and our heat pumps were not working correctly he came out and fixed it spending 3 hours going over and behond hes a credit to the company 👍

Just had annual service, no problems whatsoever great guy and did a great service would recommend

Would not recommend using there services!! Workmanship is horrendous and the after care services are diabolical!!
