PIRATE.COM - Rehearsal Studios Arvostelua 

I was not expecting much, and I was right. However the idea of Pirate Studios is great but on this scale its almost impossible to make it work. The Studio(?) I booked stank of OB, fried chicken and sweat... the controller keyboard was really small - 2 Octave mini keys.... and the bin was full. I had to leave the door open for the first hour. It was an interesting experience. Basically you get what your pay for? yeah! But don't let that stop you, just make sure you bring your own controller and air freshener.

Terrible company, always something broken, rooms are tiny and communal areas are disgusting with prices constantly going up.

Awful experience! Got fined £50 because we touched one of their cameras which appeared to not even be straight in the first place. They don’t make any rules clear then they will charge you without you expecting it. Even Vaping is not allowed which they haven’t clearly told customers hoping they will catch them out with another fine. They will fine you for what they call tampering with their equipment even though nothing was damaged/broken. I can see they use this as a scheme to make money off customers. My friends and I will no longer be going there. On top of that they are very rude to customers.

Amazing staff

Had trouble setting up due to being unknowledgeable. A worker whose name I never caught, was AMAZING set the full thing up for me fixed the equipment and showed me what to do. Was working on a present for someone and wouldn’t have been able to do it without him. This was in the Glasgow studios. Great service.

Absolutely terrible. In the "recording studios" you hear people singing, people playing beats, all kinds of sounds coming in from all of the rehearsal studios. Totally not isolated. Against the definition of a recording studio. And they refuse to return the fee. All they can do is to put the money back onto my account, so I can book again?! Absolutely not recommended.

equipment not working - customer service telling me its my fault for not contacting them. poor poor poor, all round poor

Customer service helped me so fast. Much appreciated. Sorted my situation out within minutes.

Sofia is the best customer service rep you have has helped me twice now with now issues at pirate and resolved my issues very quickly and efficiently give her a raise!

I was using their studio to record a podcast. When the time was up they switched the electricity off which wiped a two hour interview. They offered no support. If it is your policy to switch the lights off, you'd imagine the studio setup would be built to save what has been recorded.

No care, no remorse. Careless. I really would suggest podcasters look elsewhere. Your interview is worth more than the saving you'd make booking these cheap studios.

BEWARE - low hourly rate is subsidised by parking fines.

You register, you get a code to exit the car park. So the car park can't be used by anyone but those using the facilities, right?

No, apparently they need to have a separate system to register your car details so they know you are a customer. If not, parking charge notices, debt collectors letters, threats of court action.

Not only are the studios clean and equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, but the customer service support is (if not the best) I've experienced. Can you guess how long it took them to answer when I had technical difficulties with a mixer? SECONDS, my guys. Not even Amazon has that.

Terrible place. Rented studio 7 for 2 hours just for a small recording session. One of the headphone outputs on audio interface was totally broken. We cannot even work normally as just one person can hear what’s happening.
+ there was a big mess when we came, and terrible smell.

Absolutely AWFUL!!! Useless person on reception, full of attitude all coz i "interrupted her social" to check in. Booked 3 hours, lost 2 of them with faulty untested/unmonitored equipment, had to be moved twice. The staff whatsapp were not replying to my messages for 10minutes at a time. As soon as I called them they tried to get me off the phone and get me on to whatsapp. Only refunded me for one hour when i clearly lost 2. Awful awful place. Vile!!!

Went yesterday,I had a small issue and the technicians Jez and Dan went above and beyond, solving my issues and really did the extra mile.

Really recommend!!!!

More than one piece of equipment was faulty - a regular occurrence. Then you have the joy of trying to fix the issue yourself practically in the dark because of the poor level of lighting in the studios. You can call the team to get replacement equipment but it’s a faff when you’re on a tight schedule. No care in terms of overall customer experience.

Wir hatten Probleme mit dem Equipment und der Klima Anlage und hatten uns deswegen an den Support gewendet.
Wir haben Kontakt mit dem Support aufgenommen und haben mit Kate gesprochen. Sie hat ohne Absprache einfach den Strom abgeschaltet, wodurch unsere 3 Stündige Session einfach dahin war. Nachdem wir gefragt hatten, ob wir die Zeit die durch den Studio Wechsel verloren ging hieß es nur, dass es an uns liegt und wirklich Kulanz wurde auch nicht gezeigt. Andere Leute, die auch ein Studio gemietet hatten, meinten, dass wir es später nochmal versuchen sollten, weil die wahrschnelichkeit einen kulanteren Mitarbeiter zubekommen höher ist. Wir haben unsere Session frühzeitig abgebrochen, weil Kate überhaupt nicht auf unsere Probleme eingegangen ist. Auf Nachfrage nach ihrem Namen, meinte sie nur, dass sie wohl eine Person des Management sei und es wohl eh egal wäre, Beschwerde einzureichen.

Neuerdings sind vor einer Buchung Lichtbildnachweis und Fotoscan über eine externe Firma erforderlich.
Keine Ahnung, was mit diesen Daten alles passieren kann; ich werde es nicht ausprobieren.

Soundproof was advertised and it wasn’t at all. Can hear every noise outside of the room nevermind privacy for your audio. People in the corridors just listening. Weird.
