A real treat
I've been enjoying all the various dishes for some weeks now but the one I had today - ziti with ewe's milk ricotta, basil and lemon - was outstanding! I added a few fresh basil leaves which only enhanced the wonderfully creamy sauce. Being alone, I eat one portion on two succeeding days, so am really looking forward to dinner tomorrow. I hope this dish is offered again before too long as I will certainly choose it again.

5 stars because it tastes great but…
5 stars because it tastes great but please try and have more than just 2 meat options per week. 4 veg options vs 2 meat options is not great and makes me cancel the whole weeks order. Perhaps at least 3 meat options or maybe an extra meat pasta dish would be great and I would definitely order more consistently.

We aim to offer a range of dishes each week that cater to different tastes and dietary preferences, but we completely understand your point that if there are only two meat options and neither appeals, it can mean skipping the week altogether.

Unfortunately we couldn’t give a good score ! Not for the food because we never got any. But the service of website really is not acceptable , unnecessarily complicated. We call twice to get help to filling in .. then we thought everything was ok ,. We wait for delivery , never came , we ring again and just to find out we’re not getting because the tech who help didn’t finished the application SHAME.

During our last conversation, we explained that the application had not come through on our website and asked that you give us a call the following day so we could make sure the account had been set up successfully. I can assure you this is a very rare occurrence and so naturally disappointing for us as we were unable to help create the account on this occasion.

Truly awesome pasta
The pasta is truly great quality and we really enjoy the recipes a lot, even the vegetarian ones. There have been issues with delivery a couple of times but customer service has been quick and very helpful.

Delicious pasta dishes
The pasta today was Chitarra with seafood puttanesca, absolutely delicious! We have not found pasta dishes as good as these in restaurants, certainly not in the UK. The quality is excellent, and very quick and easy to prepare

Our weekends have never been more…
Our weekends have never been more delicious since we discovered Nonna Tonda. Tonight’s vegetarian meal of fettuccine with red pepper, mascarpone and basil oil transported us from Wales to Sicily….accompanied by a very tasty bottle of Classico Chianti. Absolutely decadent and delicious and very much recommended. Thank you 🙏

Great food and incredibly convenient. The pasta is fresh, authentic, and definitely Italian 🇮🇹 approved!
The quality of the ingredients really stands out, and it’s a fantastic option when you want a proper Italian meal at home without the hassle.
One small suggestion: the portion options could be improved. Two portions weren’t quite enough for two hungry men under one roof, while four portions would have been too much. A three portion option would have been perfect, but unfortunately that’s not available.
Overall, I happily retain my subscription to get a weekly delivery.

Frustrating customer service experience for average food...
I had a frustrating experience with Nonna Tonda's subscription service and customer support.
My account had been placed on hold, and when I paused the service, I was told I would receive a notification before deliveries resumed. The only indication I received that my subscription had restarted was a charge appearing on my credit card. As soon as I saw the charge, I immediately contacted customer service, explained that I had not intended to resume the service, and requested that the order be cancelled and refunded.
The company later claimed that a weekly reminder email had been sent prior to this delivery. However, throughout the entire period that my account was suspended, I continued to receive weekly recipe preview emails that never resulted in a charge or delivery. Because those emails looked the same week after week, there was no obvious way to distinguish a routine preview email from one that supposedly indicated my subscription was about to reactivate.
Despite acknowledging the confusion, the company refused to provide a refund because the order had already been processed. Suggesting that customers should somehow know that one nearly identical email out of many carries a completely different meaning is not reasonable.
As for the product itself, I found the food to be average and not particularly memorable. Deliveries also arrived with the ice pack completely melted into what was essentially a bag of water. It left me wondering how long the package had been without effective chilling during transit.
The issue is not whether an email was technically sent. The issue is that the communication was unclear, inconsistent with what I had been told when I paused my account, and resulted in an unexpected charge. I would encourage the company to make reactivation notices much more explicit and customer-friendly.
Unfortunately, this experience left me with little confidence in their subscription management, delivery standards, or customer service policies.

Having read your comments, I can understand why the situation was confusing. If you continued to receive recipe preview emails throughout the period your account was paused, it's reasonable that you would not necessarily distinguish a routine menu email from one that indicated an upcoming charge and delivery. Whilst our intention is to keep customers informed, feedback like yours highlights where our communication can be clearer and more explicit.
I also appreciate your concerns regarding the handling of your cancellation request once the order had been processed. Whilst we have operational cut-offs that limit our ability to stop orders at certain stages, we understand that this can feel unsatisfactory when the underlying issue stems from a misunderstanding about the status of the subscription.
Regarding the delivery, our boxes are packed with ice packs and transported through chilled logistics networks, but I appreciate that receiving a melted ice pack can undermine confidence in the condition of the food, particularly during warmer weather.
Whilst I'm sorry that the food itself did not stand out for you, I genuinely appreciate the balanced and constructive nature of your feedback. You've highlighted several areas where we can improve, particularly around account reactivation communications and customer expectations.
