Normally service has been good, and I never had a problem. However, in this last situation I left several voicemails where I was told the team member would get back to me, which did not happen. Sent several emails to a particular person where the out of office reply said a team member would get back… I got letters saying things were closed out, and case was closed, which was not accurate. It was almost like a miscommunication, lack of staff, on this last accident incident.

After my initial calls to NJM the staff handled everything with Tilton Body Works. Thanks to the professionalism of both the NJM and Tilton staffs the entire process was seamless.

I made a Preview phone call about the significant serious increase in my car insurance premium and I’m now on the cost of retirement age. I’ve had New Jersey manufacturers for almost 50 years and this is the highest rate increase I have ever had and they told me rates have increased for almost everybody, and it’s becoming un affordable for me and I am just not happy and there doesn’t seem to be any real reason why this happened and for the first time in my car insurance history I’m sick gonna be 69 years old I am seriously thinking about going to another car insurance company I don’t feel I’m being treated fairly. I live in the town name is Hope lawn but we use the ZIP Code because of the post office requirements. The ZIP Code shows Perth Amboy, which is a next-door town and a totally different town and something is not fair about using my address for high rates thank you.

What made my experience great was the overall professionalism of the customer service, which includes my adjuster and also how quickly my claim was settled. I also appreciate the communication to keep me informed on the status . I cannot say anything bad about NJM as I feel they have their customers best interest and make the process as easy as possible.

Always follow up what’s going on with the car if we are satisfied or not and make sure everything fixed the right way.

I have been insured by NJM for more than 20 years and have always found their underwriters and claims departments to be exceptionally helpful. Unfortunately NJM has made the decision to farm out their Roadside Assistance program to a company called HONK. Customers are given an estimated cost for towing services that must be paid prior to receiving services and there is no possibility of receiving a detailed invoice to confirm the charges/number of miles towed are accurate. Hopefully the tow company assigned your case actually has the equipment to tow the vehicle and when it does not, let’s hope the second tow company doesn’t damage your vehicle because when they do and you complete the 18 page report and submit photos of damage Honk denies and closes the claim. NJM has a department meant to support claims against or issues with HONK but they actually have no influence or power to change HONK’s decision. Very Frustrating , and is making me rethink current auto, homeowners, and flood policies as I wonder other services will deteriorate as NJM expands coverage to additional states.

What went right? 3 weeks to get a cover on my roof and broken windows. Now over two months for them to figure out what to do .. they have no clue. Every promise i get from this is the same letter with a different date.. that says soon maybe .. working on it ..

They were fast with inspection and notified the mechanic at a decent time and the mechanic did a beautiful job. My car looks better than brand new. Thank you for all your help.

NJM has become an insurance company like all the others, Allstate, Geico, etc.
It's no longer customer focused with high customer service and reasonable cost.
