I love NJM but not my claim adjustor! I am calling tomorrow to complain. She never answered my calls. Always voice mail. Called me back in the 2 days if she called. My schedule is hectic so we didn’t connect but she never tried calling again to get me. Sometimes she emailed me instead of a call. Now I just got a letter saying something that you cannot continue my claim. I had major questions about the other insurance company involved who sent me a letter that I didn’t understand. Now they sent another letter saying they can’t help me with the claim. I’m angry. I’m elderly & live alone. I needed help that I did not get.

It takes forever to get tow service. This is one of the largest insurance companies in NJ, and will take 3 hours min. to get tow service.

I called today to report an address change so that my insurance company would always know where I am and my distance of traveling to work daily. The young man first asked me about an accident that my sister was involved in 2023 and ask was I aware of the accident, I replied that I did not, and in the next breathe, he told me that my policy would increase by roughly $300 because my distance of travel time would change. I was totally baffled! I have had my car for over three years, never got involved in any accident, just now hitting the 10,000 mile range in travel time on the mileage gauge but you are telling me that my insurance would increase by almost $300 because my travel time to work is 25 minutes instead of 10 minutes? I am still sitting here in shock because this is unbelievable and I am so disappointed in NJM. I will be shopping for other car insurance.

I made many attempts since April to reach out and either no one calls me back or I have to wait two days after I make another call to get someone to call me back. I overpaid my deductible and I am still waiting for my reimbursement. Can someone please reach out and let me know what is going on? Thanks.

Just added a second vehicle to my primary insurance for AUTO just liability $1000 my primary vehicle almost $1500 for full coverage and I also have two home insured and the prices have gone up since I started around $600 a year till close to 1000 a year doesn’t make sense

Good experience but too many letters about the same thing

The rep. that took my claim was not at all helpful.He treated a simple windshield crack like a major accident. I thoroughly explained that I was sitting in the Safelite parking lot and could get the windshield repaired right away if this could be expedited. He asked unnecessary questions ( Did I see why the stone came from? Precisely where this happened? etc.) Then he said I had to fill out info on line ad wait days from an adjuster to contact me. I explained that I was leaving for a roadtrip and concerned that the crack would spread. He transfered me to a Safelite department who could not help me because the claim # was not in the system. Bottom line I returned from my trip and the entire windshield now had to be replaced. The customer care experience that I encountered was awful. I have been with NJMIC for years, primarily because of the high level of service. At this poit NJMIC has higher rates than most companies and subpar customer service. Further if I have to do everything myself online, you should eliminate that staff and lower your rates.
