Monster Transmission & Performance Arvostelua 

Purchased a remanufactured 4L60e 350hp transmission from Graham on Monsters web site via chat. Giving him 5 stars for sales, (I'll rate Monster Trans service & quality later.) Good price and good conversation. Promised me a lot including 3 year unlimited warranty with his knowledge of myself doing the work. "No problem" he said. All brand new parts except the housing. Included the fluids and shipping with no core charge. Shipping would be 11-25 business days to arrive. I'm moving in a month and obviously need my truck so I'm hoping for the best! Too good to be true? I'll let you know...
Ok, as you may expect I've drastically changed my rating to zero stars. Monster Transmission's logo should be the house of lies! I was told transmission would arrive in 25 days but then was told after purchase it would 45 days. That's too late. Trying to get order # and status was a nightmare. Turned out that all they did after a week was take my money, that's all. I canceled the order & requested refund. Been calling everyday since the claim refund process takes 34-48 hours. Agent tells me they have request buy still not processed. Why? She doesn't know! They take your money in seconds but weeks (so far) to refund it.
If they refund it? Stay tuned... Absolutely everything they promise is a flat out lie! And they don't seem to care at all.

Put our transmission in and the transmission was no good, there was no reverse and second gear. 3rd and 4th gear clutches were smoked, 2nd gear gear band was bad and the drum was missing a chunk. Three transmissions shop inspected it, said it was an inexperienced builder and was poorly put together. Monster will not stand behind the (Lucas/Janice) warranty. I had the transmission rebuilt by a local transmission shop. I reinstalled the transmission and it works amazing. I offered to send old parts to Lucas at monster, called again and they refused to give me any help. Now that the transmission is fixed, they said they would offer "if we paid to ship it there" and the bench time, they would look at it. Now that I had the transmission fixed, they said they will not look at it and everything is voided. Even though I sent them pictures and I have all of the old parts. I thought they were the best in the business for transmissions, but I was absolutely proven wrong.
I DO NOT RECCOMEND BUYING A TRANSMISSION FROM MONSTER, GO TO YOUR LOCAL BUILDER. ATLEAST, YOU HAVE A WARRANTY AND STAND-UP COMPANY.

Person on chat gave me a higher priced than your website advertised and the only reason I clicked on the chat link is it said I would get a better deal, They then came back higher for the same transmision
Pretty shady and possibly illegal, I will also send this over to state for a referral to investigate the impropriety of the the site and sales team.

Wow this company. I order a custom built transmission for my 95 e350 on 1/4/24. When I ordered it I thought I was going to get a good transmission due to the text and "that they were checking the transmission with out team of engineers to make sure it's the best" and as kid watching them put them in trucks on Spike. I received it on 1/23/24. When it arrived I opened the box to discover a bolt on the bottom of the pallet. Upon further inspection there was 2 stripped transmission pan bolt. Attached photo show no threads.
So I called and they said we will get our WOWanty on it. It took 14 days to get them to review there video. It still on the pallet it came in. So I asked for a refund it's still in the original packaging and if I need to ill bring it back. No we can't do that. They said I can take somewhere to have it fix and they can see about approving the repair. I asked to talk to a manager I am still waiting.
You better off ordering a transmission of Tumu or a junk yard Transmission vs from this company.

Poor workmanship, Poor customer service, Poor everything. The biggest this is that they lie to the customer. They say quality is there #1 priority and that they check it. If that pan bolt was torqued at proper specs it should.have been could before it left there shop.

Transmission still on the pallet still waiting for answers.

I purchased a custom 4L60E for my race car that was being built in April. I paid extra for the custom chrome pan a purple painted transmission and the correct torque convertor. My race car is finally done with everything, and the transmission was installed this last weekend it went to the tuner yesterday February 25,2024 and the transmission doesn't have 2nd or reverse. I called Monster transmission first thing this morning to talk with someone about returning this broken transmission and they are telling me that there isn't a manager on duty to talk to. I can be transferred to the warranty department which of course doesn't answer I have to leave a message and 5hrs later and 5 more messages and phone calls and I still didn't talk with anyone. I finally get a hold of Janice in the warranty department only to have her tell me that all of their transmissions have a 30-day warranty. You got to be kidding me what the hell kind of transmission company only has a 30day warranty. On their website it states 3year/unlimited warranty, but Janice says my transmission doesn't qualify for that warranty and since it sat In my garage in there shipping container with their transmission fluid that the transmission went bad. REALY SINCE WHEN DOES A PART HAVE A SELL BUY DATE WERE NOT DEALING WITH FOOD. This company is by far the worst company to deal with they have their heads so far up their asses and all they obviously do is RIP people off.

Transmission came with wrong pan
Shift shaft was installed wrong
Dust pan taps were stripped
Tranny does not shift correctly
Very poor customer service

This has been a complete shitshow I bought my 46re transmission about 9 months ago. They had no problem taking the money and after about 10 days it was delivered. This was the heavy duty version. It had a slip from 1st to 2nd would randomly throw codes here and there. About 3 weeks before Christmas the front oil pump blew unexpectedly. Since then I have had about 10 calls can't ever reach anyone hardly I have to go to new purchase to talk to someone and be transfered. I have never talked to the same person day to day. Never got solid info and finally after talking to someone at monster I get a call from their mechanics then another from supposedly the shop it was going back to.we talked and I wanted a new transmission dropped to me and I'd send the core back. He said my transmission was being started as we spoke and it would be dropped Friday Friday comes and their delivery guy hit my drive as I started doing my business in the bathroom. Wasn't able to catch him. Come to find out there was no transmission for them to drop. This company overall was a horrible experience. I wouldn't let someone even order parts from them after this. This company had to have paid for the good reviews because my experience was insane.

Well I'm happy to say I ended up with a woman named Taz in warranty and in no time she had the ball rolling and I've been impressed with the service since. As long as the one I get back performs as hoped I retract my earlier negativity and would recommend them.

There products are junk. Bought 4t100. Lost gears in 2 weeks. They wouldn't stand behind there product. Pretty much stold my money and had the nerve to tell me pay to send it back and pay to have it taken apart to see what's wrong. Crazy but wasn't gonna get me twice. Would never spend a dime with them again and recommend everyone if they cherish there hard earned money to stay away from these scammers.

Bought a "ss mega monster" with torque converter for $5300 replaced cooler, cooler lines and radiator @ same time,6 months later transmission is broke. Took 3 days to get a call back from them only to tell me they won't stand behind their product! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I purchased a transmission from this company through ebay back in August. When I couldn't get a delivery date or tracking information or anybody to answer my emails and texts through ebay; I cancelled the order. After ebay went through their protocols I received a full refund, because they couldn't get any information from the company either. Two weeks after I cancelled my order a transmission showed up at my mechanics shop with my name on it. I told him someone should be picking it up since I cancelled the order. Well a month later a collection agency called me wanting money for the transmission that Is still in the box waiting to be picked up. So now when I call "Monster" I am told that they can not speak to me that I have to call the debt collection agent, which I have, so I guess they know their products are trash and don't want to them back once they send it out. Looks like I am going to have to get the Florida States Attorney General involved.

I saw these guys on TV. When I was looking for a company to rebuild a AODe Trans for me I gave them a call. Ordered the transmission, they said 2 weeks to get it. OK. Received the trans 1 month later. Got the transmission installed and could not get the shift points where they wanted them. Called them and got customer service. ( should I say the lacking of ) but they said they would have the tech or warranty dept get back to me. Well after calling and emailing for a month they finally got back to me. The tech said to try a couple things and let him know. Two weeks later I finally got a call back. After leaving 6 messages and and email. Well he told me that it had to come back to Monster and if they found it was error due to install I would have to pay otherwise they would cover shipping and everything. Well they must have found a problem because it was zero cost. I had stopped payment for the transmission after 3 weeks of not getting any response. When I received the Transmission back after almost 5 weeks we reinstalled. Shift points are now where they are supposed to be....But the firm shift that was quoted me is terrible. It slides into gear. Called them again. Now they sent me to collections because I stopped payment. This is just ridiculous. They won't answer or return calls but yet they say they want a long lasting relationship. My advise STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. I had to pay again to. have the transmission removed and reinstalled. NOT a good company to work with.

I called before I ordered a valve body and was told it was a manual reverse pattern valve body with trans brake. When it came it wasn't a trans brake valve body. I called and they were going to find what I needed but it was on national back order. After a month I called back and they will not refund my money now. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I received the wrong Torque Converter for my truck. I wrote them a bunch of emails about it never got a response. I called them on a Friday they said they wouldn’t be able to help out until Monday or Tuesday because supervisor wasn’t there, so I told them if I could get help from anyone else she said it has a been a couple weeks already as it would be a problem seems as if they are trying to delayed the resolution until the return policy time limit had expired. This company has no customer service ethic.
Also Still waiting for a call back from them I never received. Save yourself a headache and money order from some where else

The buying process went pretty smoothly, but once it shipped they didn't seem to care anymore. I had questions right away after the install about how it didn't seem to engage properly and felt a bit off. Their only response was to send it back for a warranty check at my expense. Wasn't worth doing that so gave up and figured for a 25 year old truck it was all I was going to get. A year later and I find out the torque converter I got from them was probably defective and the source of the issues. Tried reaching out to find out if there was anything they could do but they won't respond. So another thousand plus dollars and hopefully now it will be fine. The transmission itself always seemed to work.

Failed transmission for F350, approximately 20k miles, no towing or heavy use. It took 3 months of phone calls and emails to get them to approve returning it for inspection, 3 more months to get the replacement. 2 additional months to get a check to sort of reimburse removal and replacement along with palleting it for shipping. They reimburse at a shop rate of 50 an hour, refused to reimburse for fluid (that I bought from them for the first transmission), refused to reimburse for flushing or anything else required to replace a defective transmission. This is the worst company ever. All told it took almost a hundred phone calls to get the check. Horrible product, worst customer service ever!! Not the people on the phone, the company approach that is ignore until the customer gives up!!! Never ever do business with this place

Do not trust this company, the sales department will tell you what you want to hear at time of sale and promise fast delivery. Customer support will welcome you, then ignore you . Lucus with built team will lie to you repeatedly. Order mine on Oct. 2nd, after weeks of being told it would ship next week. On Nov. 20th I had had enough BS and canceled my order. The CEO won't even respond to your emails.
Bad company from top to bottom. Don't waste your time.

this company is trash first transmission lasted less than 90 days the second didnt make it a full year had another shop rebuild it found that it was missing parts inside this is the 3rd time im rebuilding it

Purchased a transmission from these guys and It leaked badly. They required me to take it to a certified transmission shop for evaluation and repair. It cost me more than $500 to have there poor quality work fixed. I got a "reimbursement" check for $275.
Warranty is a joke. Don't do business with them unless you are willing to get screwed!

If I could give zero stars I would. Don't order from this company!! SCAM to say the least. Transmission lasted only a week, and they will not do anything about it except have us pay to send it back and pay for new parts that have to go in.

Brand new transmission failed now to do the warranty after sending pictures has taken weeks and weeks and weeks and I'm out the cost of new fluid and labor and I run a repair shop and there were several things that they forgot to do when they built this transmission.
