My husband & I visited the restaurant in Aughton this evening, for my birthday. The staff were very attentive & cheerful. Our meal was excellent & we couldn't have asked for more. Lucy was the young lady attending to us & she was charming & helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant for service, meal standard & excellent staff. Thank you Lucy for making my birthday really lovely.

We attended the newly refurbished Miller & Carter in Marlbrook. They’ve done a good job. The venue is clean and crisp whilst making you feel comfortable at the same time there was a wide variety of meal options and staff were amazing ensuring all our dietary requirements were met. Food was delivered within a reasonable time and was of excellent quality. there were different meal options presented to us for our order and staff were able to recommend different foods to suit our party. The Bar staff were able to keep up with our drink order. Dylan the bartender ensured drinks were flowing.

Our experience at the Peterborough restaurant was extremely disappointing from start to finish.

We called in advance and made a reservation, but when we arrived, we were told that no reservation had been recorded. After some discussion, we were offered a table outside, which we accepted. We were then informed that if we wanted to sit outside, we had to go inside and place our order at the bar.

I went inside with my husband, our toddler, and our baby to order. Our toddler had his small bike with him and briefly rode around while we were waiting. We immediately asked him to stop, but as any parent knows, toddlers do not always respond instantly.

At that point, the manager, Brandon Walker, approached us in a very aggressive manner and started shouting at us. We politely asked whether someone could take our order outside instead, as our child would be outside with us and would no longer be inside the restaurant. Rather than trying to help or speak respectfully, he refused and continued raising his voice.

What was most upsetting was the way we were treated. Instead of calmly explaining the restaurant’s policy, he repeatedly shouted, “Leave the restaurant. Leave the restaurant.” We were made to feel unwelcome and embarrassed in front of other customers.

We fully understand that businesses have rules and safety policies, and we respect that. However, there is a professional and respectful way to communicate with customers, especially families with young children. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

Combined with the fact that our reservation had apparently been lost despite being made by phone, the overall experience at the Peterborough location was unacceptable. We left feeling shocked by the lack of customer service, the hostile attitude we encountered, and the complete absence of any attempt to resolve the situation professionally.

Sadly, we will not be returning and would not recommend this location to other families.

Took a party of six to the Gloucester branch for dinner. Service was terrific; friendly, helpful and prompt. My food was very ordinary but dressed up with questionable sauces and a complicated menu. Everybody else had mixed views about their food. My Waiuku steak was over cooked (ordered medium rare, delivered medium+) and, as a result, lost all its magical qualities and tasted like any other ordinary steak. The whole idea of a lettuce wedge with its overpowering sauce was not to my taste and I declined any sauce for the steak. Chips were good, onion loaf was also good. Wine was the house Merlot, run of the mill but OK. My wife's prawns, on her salad, were simply defrosted and totally tasteless. Everyone enjoyed their puds, I enjoyed my coffee. An expensive and unsatisfactory night out!

£25 for a mediocre burger and 20 french fries., and £5.10 for a room temperature bottle of water.

I’m sorry I don’t get the attraction

Gets 1 for the manager fobbing me of on 2 steaks costing 80.00 asked for well done and came with blood on my partners plate and also mine was red.Been here loads of times never again will they get my money after this just not interested for that cash fobbed me off.Thats the Sunderland branch never again I hope the area manager comes down on him with the pathetic excuse he’s given me

Hit and miss depending on who is front of house. Despite previous positive experiences in the past, today was not the case. We were declined a table of an almost empty restaurant purely because the individual decided our attire was not good enough when we dropped in for a early evening meal after finishing work. This has never been an issue before so I assume it's purely down the the perception of one staff member. However we will not return due to this. It isn't really acceptable to be treated so poorly when spending on average £180 a visit. We instead headed to the Harvester where staff treated us with dignity and respect. Their staff are clearly better trained.

Overpromise, under eliver. Promise response to feedback in 3 days - so far 5 requests, 2 months, no response.

Went to the Liverpool branch in the Albert Dock and had the Surf and Turf. The steak was gorgeous but the skinny lobster tails had barely any meat in them but they were still delicious, next time I'll probably just get a bigger steak by itself though for the same price. They had Perroni on draft of which I had a pint and my friend who was driving had a morito mocktail. Plenty of choices for drinks including a wine menu but I'd rather have a pint of cold beer. We finished up with the Brownie and NY cheesecake which were nice but probably unnecessary as we were quite full up from the main course. We did order the sourdough bread for one and shared it as well at the beginning which once again was exquisite in taste. Total came to £149 for the two of us including drinks and a dessert. One of the best restaurants in Liverpool for food quality. Staff were good and advised us to just get one portion of sourdough bread and share it as it was quite big, which we did.

Rosie gave fantastic service at the Ipswich restaurant this evening. She was very personable and very willing to go the extra mile.

A group of 6 of us visited millerandcarter in shirley today. The place itself was a lovely place to visit. The staff were really friendly and nice and could'nt do enough for us. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their food . We definetely be visiting there again. Thank you millerand carter.

Visited the Hagley road restaurant in Birmingham. Absolutely aw full, never put the starters through and brought out main course, never apologised and implied it was our fault. Steak was pretty rough and over cooked. This restaurant has some serious issues with staff attitude

Poor service, bad food, great decor but unfortunately that's not why I go to pubs......

We went to York and wanted a steak dinner. Having visited Miller and Carter in Essex several times, we were happy to try this one.
Very disappointing. Service was good, food not so much. The lettuce slice was weird and unpleasant. The steak was supposed to be medium rare, it was burnt on the outside and bloody in the middle. All I could taste was 'burnt'.
The onion wedge was quite nice, the tiny piece of tomato was beyond disgusting, no idea what it was cooked in. The triple cooked chips were bland, not crisp.
No other vegetables seem to be offered. We had six tiny scallops, quite tasteless.
Unfortunately would not recommend.

We had an excellent meal at Miller & Carter, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. The restaurant was immaculate, the staff were well‑trained and courteous, and the food quality was consistently high. Our steaks were cooked exactly as ordered and served with well‑balanced accompaniments. The overall dining experience felt refined yet relaxed. Location is great with parking on site.
Food was good overall. My wagyu was a little more rare than medium rare. However what let my experience down at Roverside, was lack of service. Initially great but from main course onwards it was a letdown. We had to ask for table to get cleared and for dessert menu. Wanted to order more drinks but no-one came so we didn't bother to pursue. Disappointed overall with our first visit here.
I'm not sure if we'll be going back to riverside.
Aberdeen branch was much better.

Honestly what an experience went to Cardiff and was served by a lovely man called Josh he made us feel welcome and didn’t felt the need to be rushed honestly this man deserves a pay rise he deserved his tip we will definitely come back
