Unbelievably unprofessional

Unbelievably unprofessional. Staff was rude and not polite at all. Tropical fish rarely come healthy and usually die in the first week after buying.

Maxi Zoo offers delivery within one to three days, as advertised on all websites. Unfortunately, I've ordered several times and the package never arrived on time. There was always a delivery problem, and the blame was placed on DPD.
DPD explains that they never receive full customer contact information. Overall, a negative experience.

Take money but online ordering g shambolic

Ordered Medica dog food x 36 tins at €95. Week has gone past emailed both emails available including customer care. Status of package online is ‘unknown’ but money left my account in under 5 seconds. They blame fluctuating stock and various IT ailments but that’s been going on for 3 years.

Maxi Zoo does not deliver as promised

Maxi Zoo has a banner that states "1-3 Days Delivery". Additionally, they have a whole article page with the title "1-3 Days Delivery" (located at the bottom of the page, under "Perks".

Now, the last order I made did not reach me during that timeframe. Ok, it happens. Now, it has been 3 working days, and the support email told me to wait 2 more days for the tracking number. The order is still being processed.

I understand delays, but this is not the first time. I order at the exact same time from another pet store (Fetchyourpetneeds), and the order will be delivered today with DPD as well. This one, is still yet to be sent and processed.

Really negative experience again, so I will order from another store in the future. I would advise anyone looking for alternatives as well.

Customer service

I had €50 MAX ZOO gift. On Aug 20th I wanted to use in shop but there was an issue with system and would not allow me to use the card. On October 18th I tried to use this card again and at the same shop and was told it is empty. I was advised to contact the customer service as at the shop they are not able to help me. I reached out to customer service and I asked for transactions history for the gift card I was told to go to the shop as they will be able to assist. €50 disappeared from the card and no one is able to help me. This is a joke and pure example of poor customer service. I will never again buy gifts cards at this shop and I will advise the same to everyone!

I made an order online for premium cat…

I made an order online for premium cat litter, there was a deal, saved a few quid. A week later it was canceled with the excuse it was not in stock and didn't know when it would be back in. I went into the store a day later and bought the same stuff I ordered, now with no discount. So you either couldn't be arsed doing the order or you didnt want to give the discount. Liars all of you. If you don't want to honor online orders, don't do online orders.

Ana is a great groomer

Recently switched to maxi zoo groomers at Finglas brought my 11yr old doggie to Ana. Couldn't recommend Ana enough she was so lovely and caring and also done a great job of the groom. I love the way the place isn't overrun with dogs sitting in crates crying, barking and been uncomfortable it's an extremely calm environment and the difference in my dog when I collected him compared to when I normally collect him from our previous groomers. He was calm and happy and looked like he had a great time. Will be booking Ana for all 4 of my dogs grooms from now on. 100% positive experience. Website is a bit of a nightmare with way too many choices and it's confusing to navigate so maybe just phone them or pop in if you're looking to book that's what I done.

Online Ordering and stock levels

Items out of stock messages a few days after ordering. This has happened to me on a few occasions now and just again to my wife who ordered from you last week and I can see from other reviews, other people have the same issue.

Understand that issues do occur, but difficult to understand with current stock control systems how it's this bad.

Trouble is also, that the refund takes a long time to go back to you account and you need to keep checking it to ensure you got it.

Sorry, but it's a bit of a messy process to be honest and it ends up wasting peoples time.

Refused to honor Discount

I have been buying dog food from Maxi Zoo online for years! On 2nd October, I received a promotional email from them offering a 15% discount that day only! I needed dog food so ordered some and used the discount code! On 6th October, they cancelled my order saying that the dog food was out of stock with no restock date! I went straight onto their website and it was clearly available and in stock!

I emailed them and got a generic reply! When I emailed them again to point out how rubbish their response was, they took another two days and sent me another generic reply!

I'll be shopping elsewhere from now on!

Bad experience

I've used this groomer before and was always pleased. The groomer was lovely and chatty and interested in the dog and his needs. I left him there last week and after a dispute with a different groomer who was very opinionated i left having giving the groomer my instructions.
When i brought the dog home having paid 65 euros for the groom I saw that my poor little dog had cuts and scratches all over his hind legs and was in pain. We are using a antiseptic cream to soothe him and hopefully we won't need a vet visit.
I won't be returning to Maxi Zoo again as I would be afraid to leave my dog in their care.
