Very poor service from Maxie zoo
They got the delivery address wrong, and after waiting a week I still have no dog food and no refund. I was promised a callback on Thursday, but nobody contacted me. I ended up having to ring four or five times myself.
I’ve wasted at least half an hour on the phone trying to sort out an order that should have been straightforward. They took my payment in seconds, but a week later I’m still waiting for both the dog food and the refund of around €30–€40.
Overall, a very frustrating experience. I wouldn’t bother ordering from them again.

Terrible website, woeful customer service, no delivery

MaxiZoo, you really need to sort out the website and not allow customers to order unavailable items. What I'm more annoyed about is that I received an email that one lot of cat food was out of stock and you went ahead and cancelled the entire order and then marked it as being a return by me.

The only reason I shop with you at all, given the constant out of stock and delivery issues, is because no other store carries the Moments cat food brand. I never encounter these kinds of problems with Petstop, and Zooplus at least have an amazing customer support team in the event of any issues.

Please do not respond to this saying, "We would like to apologise for this issue as this is not the service we strive to provide to our customers." This is not the first time I've had delivery issues with you, and looking at the latest reviews here, it's obvious there's a pattern of poor customer service so I'm not quite sure what exactly you are striving to provide.

Edit to respond to reply: I'm not sure if I'm just being a bit obtuse, but I did in fact contact that email address on May 15th and the customer care rep told me that he was "forwarding the case to our debitor team so that we can reply to your question", you're talking about, "investigating the matter thoroughly and offering appropriate support" - how is it so difficult to provide a straight and timely answer on why an order was cancelled?

Online shopping not worth it

Online shopping with Maxi Zoo is a disaster. Ordered 28 April, two emails so far saying items are out of stock. Remainder of the order still not received. I chanced making the change to Maxi Zoo as some items were cheaper. I’ll stick with my old shop as paying a bit more for relaible delivery is worth it

Lots of stock not available

Lots of stock not available. Sandpaper. Egg crumb. Canary seed etc. Staff all seem so unhappy and stressed. Manager is really nice and helpful though. As are most of the staff. Staff turnover is constant. Always new staff and they last short time and they are gone to new jobs. Maxizoo management must be dreadful to work for. 😣

Their online system is a disaster. I’ve had multiple orders cancelled, with no email to explain or forewarn, for items still available on the site. I’ve had an order cancelled, then they sent 1 item from the order & were well able to email then to ask me to put through payment for the product they cancelled. The final straw is them not sending tracking info & incorrectly sending cat nuts when I urgently needed the kitten milk formula I’d ordered last week. Took days to respond & requested the incorrect items be sent back at my own inconvenience. I’m not holding my breath that I’ll receive the replacement (corrected!) order as, again, no tracking provided. I won’t be buying from them online again.

Puppy shop

Just had the most fantastic visit to maxi zoo with the very helpful and lovely staff member Alan.
Guided us through the basic bits that we need for our new puppy to food and care also what we would need further down the line. We came away with great information and of course lots of fantastic toys and cuddles for our new puppy.
Would highly recommend maxi zoo bray for any first time pet owners.

WORST experience ever

WORST experience ever! Do not EVER buy from this website in your life!

All that can go wrong happens here:
- Maxizoo and Revolut have a partership, if you buy a maxizoo product through revolut you will earn extra revpoints. I did not receive the extra points.

- They promise 10% off on your first online purchase, but as you can imagine it did not apply to my first purchase!

- My purchase was NOT delivered yet and DPD seem to not be able to deliver my purchase. I had another thing delivred from DPD to my house yesterday, therefore this is not an issue with my address. This is something between MAXIZOO and DPD.

- You ring maxizoo customer service on a Friday 11am and there's nobody to answer the phone!!!

I sent an email asking for order cancellation and when they reply to your email they tell you that this cannot be canceled. Now I have no idea when it will be delivered (or if it will) and have neither the product or my money!

NEVER EVER again!

Groom room Blackpool cork

​I have been bringing my dog to Maxi Zoo Blackpool for over 6 years and have always been thrilled with the service from Stephanie. She consistently went above and beyond, truly caring for my dog’s well-being and knowing exactly how to handle his groom.

​Unfortunately, my experience this past Thursday, April 2nd, was very disappointing. After learning Stephanie is no longer there, the new team looked up his notes and I explicitly requested a "short and tight" cut. Despite being told this was no problem, the result was not what I asked for.

​My dog came out looking unfinished. His legs and belly are uneven, and his face looks largely untouched—he even still had goop and debris in the fur by his eyes from his tear stains. To top it off, he wasn't ready at the promised 90-minute mark and I had to wait further.

​I didn’t have the heart to tell the two groomers in the moment, but as a loyal customer of 6 years, I expected the high standard to continue.

It is a real shame to see the quality slip so significantly; I shouldn't have to wonder if my dog has even been groomed after a professional appointment.

Martin being helpful!

Martin in customer service was so helpful when he helped us to locate a food storage box, which came free with Leader Dog Food purchase, despite there being none left in the shop in Mullingar. He organised for it to be delivered to site where we picked it up. The staff are always so friendly there as well. Thank you Martin!

Going round in circles

Going round in circles with Maxi Zoo. Placed an order but they sent the wrong product - won't arrange to pick it up, I have to get a 16kg box to the post office with no car as I don't drive. Explained I would be happy to keep the product if they give me a discount - can't do that either according to customer service. So I'm stuck with a product I didn't order which they won't collect or discount. Several emails and phone calls later issue still ongoing, waiting for another person to call me back. Would not use this company again - second issue I've had with them.

Update: managed to get €21.00 refund from them. Not good enough in my opinion as the product cost €53.00 and it was their mistake but better than nothing. I won't be using them again.

We completely understand how challenging it can be to return a parcel without access to a car. For this reason, our team offered a home collection service to make the return process easier for you. While this option was available, we fully understand that it may not have been convenient for you, as DPD was unable to provide a specific collection time window.
As you preferred to keep the incorrect item and requested a refund of the price difference, we were happy to accommodate your request and initiated the credit note for the difference on the same day.
