its my second month with lyca and the…
its my second month with lyca and the first month was challenging with the service specifically for the data part and lack there of especially since it says im covered in my area. so i went through with another month of service and purchased another month and i never got an email with the puk number and customer service wasnt able to help me get the order fixed for my phone number so i purchased a whole new plan and was able to get it setup on my phine but i was able to keep my nunber and my service for data is still lacking even though they say they provide service to my area. i now am need to get a refund for the other service plan i purchased.

Terrible service, I would never buy plans from them again!
I signed up for a 6 months promotional plan $7.50/month, but they started charging me $33/month after 4 months of service…
They will not let you recover your account if you do not get an OTP on your phone, but are notorious for having problems sending you one. I was on the phone with them for hours, not being able to receive an OPT, they weren’t able to figure it out and told me to wait 48 hours for them to “solve the issue”. It was never solved…

Terrible experience when trying to Switch
I initially had a good experience with Lyca Mobile. The plans were affordable, the discounts were attractive, and the service seemed decent. Unfortunately, everything changed the moment I decided to switch to another carrier.
Getting my account number and transfer PIN has been an absolute nightmare. Customer service has been completely unhelpful—they repeatedly say they don't have the authority to provide the information, can't connect me to a supervisor, and simply repeat the same scripted responses every time I call.
I called almost every day for over 20 days and had around four support tickets created, but nothing was ever resolved. Eventually, I was told to contact customer support via email instead. After going through the same troubleshooting steps again, they decided to send me a replacement physical SIM card. It's been another 20+ days, and I still haven't received the SIM, nor has my original issue been resolved.
It's now been over two months, and despite verifying my identity multiple times over the phone, emailing from my registered email address, and following every instruction they gave me, Lyca Mobile still hasn't provided my account number and PIN. Instead, they continue asking for more and more verification without making any progress.
This has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had.
I would NOT recommend Lyca Mobile, especially if you think you may want to switch carriers in the future. Getting the information needed to transfer your number should not be this difficult.

Sim Swapping Fraud
I appreciate the availability of customer service during business hours, but they were not able to fulfill my request. I wanted to secure my sim/number because I was a victim of sim swap scam and scammer got access to my bank account. I think LycaMobile need to train their customer service representatives on how data breach works and how can they not give acess of sim card/phone number to anyone who got owner's personal details from data breach other than the owner of the sim.
