I generally love Le Shuttle and have used it many times. However this time trains were breaking down due the excessive hot weather but also riding a motorcycle, we had to wait in the blistering sun while loading was delayed and slow. Bikers really do need a place to shelter from any weather if operational delays are expected….

The actual travelling experience on LeShuttle was great, ran smoothly although nearly an hour late both ways. Sitting in 30+ degrees of heat held in loading lanes waiting to board was not much fun

Easy booking and simple journey through the terminal. Short journey time in the comfort of my car.

Extremely poor customer service after wife slipped in toilet area on French side staff didnt want to know and made complaint which to this day has gone unanswered real shame as everything else has been good

First time and found easy experiance very helpful staff

The prices for this summer are outrageous. Almost £500 for the cheapest return of a 35 minute journey on over crowded and dirty trains .......along with the even longer queues to get through customs with the new EES coming into operation. What used to be a great service and reasonable value is certainly not anymore.

Took our motorcycle and sidecar to Belgium for a long weekend. I would have given 5☆,but there was 1.5 hours delay in boarding the train at Folkestone, however, we had to execute an early return on the following Monday, which was carried out by Le Shuttle efficiency and at a reasonable cost for early return.
Good overall value.
Finally, Motorcycles have to travel at the back of the train. There are no toilets close by, so, have a pee before loading.

Normally a good service only spoilt by numerous delays

Used a Le Shuttle a couple of time a now but my only problem is delays which seem to be on a weekend as I’ve never travelled throughout the week this trip traveled Friday evening and train was cancelled for no reason yes got the next one but with a 2 hr drive on the French side we got to hotel at 1am Saturday morning instead of before midnight on the Friday and the same again train cancelled 2 hrs this time no explanation just a full carpark on the French side and with a 7.5hr drive home this made it a long day apart from that booking on line and everything to book is straight forward and the staff are helpful just unexplained delays

Very efficient and fast, but the trains are getting quite outdated and the aircon wasn’t working in a heatwave

Booking on line easy. Booking into pet reception (uk) and pet check booth in France easy. Flexi plus worth every penny.

Outward trip worked incredibly well and on time. Homeward trip started off well with booking in and getting through French immigration but waited over an hour to get through the English one and missed two trains which the first one we should have been on. Then the trains were delayed by an hour and instead of being on the 3.34 we ended up on a late departing 5.04 and had been sitting in a hot car for all that time with out any explanation as to why it was delayed. When we asked the girl at the English Immigration as to why we had sat in the queue so long when all the other queues were going through smoothly, she just "this happens" which was so dismissive and I always thought that customer service was important. This particular journey made it very clear that customer service really does not count for anything. I would suggest if only you put out explanations as to why things are not running smoothly, people would be much more understanding instead of thinking that staff are incompetent.

This was our 3rd trip through the tunnel in 2 years with our dogs, calais has upgraded there dog passport control centre . Folkestone could do the same 👍

On time and reliable

Very easy to book and check in and out are so easy traveling for 35min is great. The set up both sides of the channel are great it was a pleasure to go on holiday.

Outbound trip was good with no issues at all. I arrived early at the terminal and I was allowed to travel on an earlier train.

The return journey was not good though. There were significant delays when I arrived at the terminal, and as such the terminal parking area, seating areas and terminal building were very busy. Queues at some food outlets (e.g. Burger King) were ridiculously long. My train eventually left almost on time, but I was directed to the upper level. Due to the inclined ramp when boarding and the narrowness between the kerbs on the train, I damaged one of my previously unmarked alloy wheels. I am still awaiting a response to the complaint form that I submitted for this. I will seriously consider using ferries in future after this experience.

It would be a real treat if a train ran on time !

Flexiplus was a smooth way of taking the shuttle. Except the self checkin at Calais was quite difficult to use. At Folkstone it used number plate recognition.

The flexi lounge was good, but perhaps would benefit from a duty free shop at Calais.
