From start to finish my experience was…SKETCHY
From start to finish my experience was a complete nightmare. I am still getting emails and texts from them after I canceled on the home. The house was poorly built and their business practices were sketchy. They kept upselling their houses and ultimately told me I did not qualify after weeks of paperwork. They could have been upfront from the beggining. Luckily I received by earnest money but the harrasment continues. They need to be investigated.
Shady selling practice
Went to look at new builds, was "pre-approved" for $350k home, found one we loved. Once we applied for financing through them, it was declined for that amount. They initially had told us they'd pay 10k at closing when we were going to finance through them.
Once we secured financing through a different lender, they said they would no longer pay 10k to close, leaving all costs to close to us with our own financing vs theirs, making the home we loved impossible for us to close on due to down payment and all closing costs(seller and buyer) being paid by us.
They offered to sell us a home right across the street from the one we liked that was 1 br smaller, that we weren't overly fond of.
We had to repeatedly request a refund of our earnest money from them. With them dragging their feet. I sent the email and the Lennar agent reached out to my husband to confirm, even though my husband was cc'd on the email. It still took over a week for them to accept that we were not going to buy one of their homes and to issue a refund after we repeatedly told them we wanted it refunded.
I would not recommend these sellers to anyone looking for a home unless you want to pay double what it costs to build with people who do everything to screw you over.

The salesperson lied to us within a matter of days we asked for our 5 thousand dollars back they refused. Thier lawyer said it was our fault we didn’t confirm what they said was true. They offered us our money on another property but if they lied once why would I trust them with another 400 thousand dollars . Lies don’t believe what the say get it in writing even then I think you will lose
Extremely tardy in giving a response
Extremely tardy in giving a response, if at all that happens. Agents over phone has no clue if you ask questions about a quote they themselves provide. Email communication is lame that they don't even read your questions correctly.

I wish there were negative stars
I wish there were negative stars!
They have the worst team of loan officers. By names, Cesar, Christian .... etc. They told me I would qualify for a max of $195,000 when I had debts and my credit score was lower. I paid off everything and now they say only a max of $180,000.
Their Loan officers are a joke. The community rep tried to link that to the "community taxes" which I calculated to have added $14 to the monthly payment only!!!
Steer away!
Do yourself a favor and look for a…
Do yourself a favor and look for a different builder. Lennar does not care about thier final product. They push out homes as fast as they can not caring about quailty control. We have lived here for about 6 months and the smoke dector goes off about 3 times a week. The gas stove is not vented outside the house. The air is recirculatd and pointed straigt to the; smoke dector, carbon monoxide dector, and the ring monitor. Cooking has become very uncomfortable. Leannar's only responce is that the home was built to specks and they don't deviate from plans. Find a builder that cares. That clearly is NOT Lennar.
Very disappointing experience overall
Very disappointing experience overall. Lennar feels like a complete money grab now, with declining build quality and poor attention to detail. What’s worse is dealing with an unprofessional agent who doesn’t provide proper information and seems more focused on closing the deal than helping the buyer.
There’s a serious lack of transparency, and at times it feels like they’d rather keep your earnest money than resolve issues fairly. Definitely not the level of trust or quality you’d expect when making such a big investment. Proceed with extreme caution.

We went through the whole closing process, and 2 weeks before closing, we were informed that they won't be able to approve us even tho we asked for other options. They called me over the phone and said I have to sign a contract if I don't purchase anything in Florida for the next three months that they would refund my money so I went ahead and I just signed it after three months I tried contacting them and they were telling me that I can't get my $5000 earnest money back so now they just scammed me and took the money this company is nothing but a scam

I am not satisfied with Lennar's warranty service. They did not take prompt action even after reporting the complaint.
My experience with Lennar Homes
My experience with Lennar has been incredibly stressful and disappointing from start to finish. What should have been an exciting milestone turned into a constant source of anxiety.
Communication was extremely poor, timelines were unclear, and I repeatedly had to chase answers or clarification on issues that should have been handled proactively. I felt unsupported and unheard throughout the process, and basic concerns were either brushed off or delayed unnecessarily.
As a buyer, you expect professionalism, transparency, and guidance—especially when making one of the biggest purchases of your life. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Instead, I was left feeling overwhelmed, confused, and stressed far more than necessary.
I would strongly caution future buyers to do thorough research and be prepared to advocate for themselves every step of the way. This process could have been handled so much better.
"Made in China", but worse
Lennar is the epitome of “made in China,” only if there exists a place that could make lower-quality products than China. In fact, I have had more responsive sellers with more robust warranties than Lennar pretty much anytime I’ve ever bought anything more than $30. Their goal seems to be to put a house together that will not fall apart until the day after it’s sold. Then they get to deny all your claims and say that everything is “homeowner maintenance.”
Broken dishwasher? Homeowner maintenance. Cracks in the foundation, driveway, or garage? Homeowner maintenance. You get the picture.
I regret the day we purchased a Lennar home almost every day, and it brings me great disgust to know that dishonorable vendors like Lennar are what represent America’s homebuilding infrastructure. My floors are made out of a material that’s only a half-step up from cardboard. Also, they squeak constantly and break constantly because Lennar did not take the trouble of leveling the foundation under the floorboards. So I just get constant reminders of my regretful decision to buy Lennar every time I walk around my first floor.
They drywalled over one of the planned A/C vents, and it wasn’t caught until I asked the HVAC company to do an air balance almost two years later. They didn’t put enough insulation in the attic so we get to spend more on utilities. They are notorious for not equipping houses with enough A/C power to maintain the house cool or warm, and they will refuse to replace your kitchen cabinets even after multiple neighbors’ cabinets crash down on their kitchen floors and the company issues a recall for the glue that holds them together.
As if doing multiple deployments in the Navy were worth coming home to die or get seriously injured to protect Lennar’s profits. They don’t care if you’re a veteran, teacher, or firefighter; they will sell you a death trap and then deny any of your attempts to get things fixed. They have lobbied their way into being able to inspect and audit themselves, something that has only resulted in a worst product for the consumer. Their customer care representatives are evaluated based on how much money they can save the company from having to perform fixes, and they get hefty bonuses for closing your tickets expeditiously in their system.
I have pictures, voicemails, and videos proving all of the above, but you can also do yourself a favor and join any of the Facebook groups where unfortunate people like myself seek solace from the hell hole we live in.
If you care about your family, don’t ever buy Lennar. You will regret it until the day you get rid of it (probably for much less money, if it’s still standing).
Joanne Hall
We went through the whole building process, and upon closing, we were informed that they would not be providing any of the things that we had contracted upon start, and since we had paid in cash, nothing could be done about it.
Joanne Hall proceeded to insult my 80-year-old parents, who planned to move into this house, saying "they are too old to understand anything."
I have no idea why they are so corrupt, unless they are just focused on $$$, but then why insult the elderly?
All of the people we worked with were gross liars who tell you what you want to hear, then don't provide it, and then insult your parents when you call them out on it. Wow. Just unacceptable.
lennar makes piece of junks
lennar makes piece of junks, dont buy from them, they make house in a day as a plastic box, thickness of dywall 1/8 of an inch , doors have no quality you can see outside through doors, wholes under cabinets which mice come through to the house, garage all over wholes mice come through. DONT BUY STAY AWAYYYYY , they dont respond maintnance requests...
Be cautious!
Well, the pros-the homes are beautiful. If you are within warranties they will fix them quickly. Except EVERYTHING falls apart outside of that period.
For us (and apparently others in our neighborhood) it's plumbing. Our dishwasher died just outside of the warranty period. Our gas fireplace also died a month out of it, however, had they gone over the operation of it, we would have known it was faulty at install. The plumbers they used did not pitch the upstairs plumbing correctly so we had two major leaks from the upstairs laundry that has taken several months to deal with and it's still not finished. But even better, we now have a downstairs leak due to bad piping. Lennar has never replied to us about it so we are working with insurance. Our plumber also let us know the exhaust piping used for the furnace is not up to code and is known for melting and leaking carbon monoxide. None of these repairs are cheap, all happened within 4 years of buying the home, and Lennar has wiped their hands because everything is outside of warranty.
If you have the choice between Lennar and any other builder, choose the other builder. If you have to go with Lennar, hire your own inspector and DO NOT trust theirs. In fact, hire two or three. It'll still be cheaper and less of a headache than living in one of their homes.

This is by far the best experience ever for a house builder. and my first go around with Lennar. Michelle McCaskill, Alex Reyes,
Asmara Williams, Paul Villanueva, Bianca Roberts have all been helpful in getting me from ALL STAGES of homebuying! If you're looking to by a home make sure yo u look up the 5775 N Sam Houston Parkway West Location .. This TEAM WILL Help you through EVERYTHING. Michelle is simply amazing. If you got your ducks in a row, the money and just able to follow her instructions she will ensure the process is smooth. I can not wait to close!! Guys Lennar is the way!!!!

they don’t stand by their product. They say they only have a one or two year roof contract supposed to be 10 years.
Buying a home with Lennar was truly a…
Buying a home with Lennar was truly a journey, filled with highs, lows, lessons, and growth.
I want to start by giving huge recognition to our salesperson, Terrence Greene. Terrence is an amazing person with incredible confidence and heart. Even when it felt like our backs were against the wall, he never stopped believing in us. He had faith that my spouse and I would get approved, and when challenges came up, he already had a Plan B in place. He refused to give up, and that made all the difference. He’s not just a great salesman—he genuinely cares.
Kayla Scalise also deserves endless praise. I truly can’t say enough about her. She was always available, no matter the time, whenever we had questions or concerns. She stayed consistent and supportive throughout the entire process and never gave up on us. Thank you a million times over—stars alone are not enough to rate someone like Kayla.
Unfortunately, our experience did not start out well. Our first salesman, Tony (Katy location), was by far the worst part of the process. The lack of care and professionalism was obvious. The loan officer at that time was just as disappointing—no communication and no responses, which made an already stressful process even harder.
I do want to thank Lisa Wersinger for the effort she did put in. It was appreciated. However, once underwriting sent the file back we felt like it was no alternative options, it felt like there was no longer a fight for us.
As for Amy Walker, the rating system allows for multiple stars, but one star was more than enough to reflect this experience. She was extremely rude, dismissive, and showed little concern for her clients or their success in purchasing a home. Her attitude was very disturbing and nearly caused my spouse and me to give up on the process entirely. If I were required to work with her again, I would choose to cancel before moving forward.
Buying a home is not easy—especially if your life is not perfectly in order. That’s the reality. My advice to future buyers: research, research, research. Make sure you understand the process, show stability, and be prepared before you invest. Don’t play games—this is a serious commitment.
Most importantly, don’t give up. If it doesn’t work out the first time, it’s not failure—it’s learning. If homeownership is meant for you, give it everything you’ve got. In the end, you’ll be grateful for the fight you put in as you begin your new journey.
I would give no stars if I could
I would give no stars if I could. The worst customer service and the worst quality home I’ve ever seen. I’ve had to pay thousands of dollars to fix things that Lennar refused to take responsibility for. Please do not make the same mistake.
Don’t buy these POS houses.
There are a lot of annoying things wrong with our home, the alcove for the fridge bows out because they didn’t fix the wall properly, the mud work is shotty at best, and the counters peel away at the corners. We’ve only been here a little over a year and honestly we hate it. The fire alarms are in the worst possible spots and go off for the literal tiniest thing, which is horrible with a newborn. The builders left trash all inside of our walls which we found out when we had to patch a hole behind the door. The caulking along the baseboards look like a toddler did it, and they use the cheapest flat paint they can find, no use trying to clean anything off your walls cause you’ll just remove the paint.
